ADE will not let me compile airports saying access is denied even though Prepar3d is installed directly to C: ? I have also unchecked read only for the files and sub folders and files. Any thoughts? thanks!

Hi everyone, My new P3D Sim is now up and running with a fresh hardware and saying bye to my old FSX and the beautiful PMDG 737 purchased some time ago. But, before I proceed with the purchase of the newer P3D version of the 737NG I have to solve a potential problem. I use touchscreen overhead panel for more immersion and training realism and it works fine in FSX, but when I tested the new system in P3D with the old 737NG , the "press & hold right click" was not responding so I am not able to invert switches like the retractable landing light or indeed any of the rotating knobs and they can only be moved to the left. I seem to get very few 3d lights when flying anywhere in the UK and Ireland with or without the UK & Ireland regions enabled and with and without UTX Europe. Everywhere else in Orbx world I get an abundance of lights but not in the UK/Ireland. Night time is like its the blitz in WWII and there is a blackout - well almost you get a few lights but not much even with full Autogen. Very odd. Suggestions appreciated. Bruceb

(fresh windows 10 install) I'll try and keep it short and sweet and I would love some advice to people who have it running with no issues. Windows 10 and P3d are not working together at all and this includes a lot of my addons. 1) P3d going between 'full screen' to an app in the taskbar completely freezes the simulator. I can click on menu's etc etc but nothing in the sim moves, it's like it's paused (no, I have unchecked the option to pause on task switch) 2) Ezdok; The main exe in the C drive instantly crashes when opening, i've tried everything, ran it in every windows config. Nothing. 3) Rex texture direct crashes after inputting the p3d directory …

I wanted to give Reshade a try, but when I installed it, P3D lost about 20FPS, so I deleted the changes I made and removed Reshade again, but I didnt get the 20FPS back. What can I do to reset P3D to as it was before I installed Reshade and get my 20FPS back?

I have not been able to use anything on the fullterrain website. I also recieve the "no permission" message after I officially login. Then it won't let me logout. My purchase was fron TheFlightsimStore, Order Number: FSS0356085 Order Date: 2015-02-22. Any help would certainly be appreciated. I had posted the above in another topic but it was suggested to not "hijack" anothers topic. Hopefully, I may be able to get either a response from Orbx or suggestions from another source. Presently I am using P3D 2.5 and am using the default ATC (toying with the idea of something more). Is there a way to select ATC menu choices with joystick buttons under the native DX button identifier (ie. without having to program the controller to send a "1" or a "2" key etc. I am using the controller for other applications as well which would make this troublesome. Ideally I would like the ATC menu to be such that I could move a highlighter up and down then press forward to make the selection (using a 4 way hat). I wasn't able to find anything within the control menu that would accomplish this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Brett

Can someone help me I got EZdok to work on my prepar3d after doing a lot of tweaking and was fine for 2 weeks. Yesterday when I started my sim ( prepar3d) I tried to run EZDok I got a warning from my antivirus ( avast) that the program is dangerous ( EZDOK) , I went and removed the antivirus and tried relaunching my prepar3d several time and noway the EZdok will show as an add on back on my prepar3d. I tried several restart to my PC ( windows64) and could never get is back. And I started getting errors with my FSUIPC4 licensed copy as well. I need if someone can help me how to get back the EZdok to run again and also is there a way to setup buttons in FSUIPC4 to c…

I posted this on thE LM forum but so far no help. Not sure how it happened but now every time I start P3d the view mode is set to outside spot rather than virtual cockpit as it used to be. I have saved a new default flight in virtual cockpit mode but when the sim starts it is in spot mode. I can then reload the default flight and it does load in the virtual cockpit mode as it should so there has to be something in another settings file that is overriding the view mode? I have deleted the prepar3d_default.fxml file and the prepar3d.cfg files and let the sim rebuild them. I have also moved the dll and exe files so no addons are loading? Nothing helps. Hi Guys, Has any of you used a touchscreen for the overhead panel in P3D? It's just that with FSX I had it working just fine…. I could get the "right click" on knobs and switches by holding my finger on it for a couple of seconds. Hi Guys/Girls, Not feeling lazy and believe me I have tried other sites including Aerosoft,but without search function working in here.Has anyone managed to instal Aerosoft Gibraltar into P3D ver 2.4?. I have their Madeira airport .that now has a p3d installer but Gib doesn't. I currently only have P3D installed on my PC but have seen screenies of Gib running in the Sim but I can't figure how it is done. It would be great if anyone has a solution. Cheers. Gary

Was wondering if any of you is using Taburet's night lighting in P3D 2.4. If you do, what do you think of it? Performance OK? Appearance OK? How does it play with FTX Global night lighting? Their last two releases cover the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic US, where I do most of my flying, so I'm interested. On the other hand, I'm trying to keep my P3D install relatively simple, so if results aren't extraordinary or if setup is wonky, I'll pass. Thanks in advance for any results you can share.

So, I installed Prepar3d 2.5 (to give it a shot, see what I am missing) I am an X-plane 10 user..... Mainly anyways..... used FSX years ago... I am lost in a minefield of tweaks found in the forum and settings. Basically I have no idea if I should be applying tweaks? Should I be usind DSR? Should I be using nvidia inspector, and if yes, what settings? What should my in sim settings be? frames locked or not? Hey guys, I've recently made a fresh installation of Prepar3D 2.5 because I had some weird bolt texture erros while thunderstorms. Unfortunately a fresh installation didn't solve the problem at all.. So I thougt I might ask you guys, if someone can help me out with it. I use Active Sky Next (latest update), REX 4 texture direct and REX soft clouds for the weather implamantation. I posted this topic in the monitors, etc. forum a few days ago but had no replies. Mods please leave this topic here so I can get feedback from the P3D guys. Has anyone successfully used g-sync with P3D or have any opinions on whether or not it should/could work with P3D's windowed fullscreen mode? Anyone using g-sync for FSX or XPX?

Hi there. Still feeling new to the shift to P3D despite having had all versions along the way here. I always used Fraps in FSX and X-Plane...is that what you all are using for video and screen captures? I am a little stumped trying to find an 'Enable' key to map and a 'Disable' key. The default of F9 is not good...I tried PRINT SCREEN and Pause/Break...didn't seem to start the recording though and nothing recorded/ Suggestions and insight appreciated. Thanks. Phil

Hi! So i was gonna make a new profile for the PMDG 737 in FSUIPC and i messed around with some settings. I cant remember exactly what i did, but i experienced the problems when the default aircraft loaded (cant remember the name, its that fighter jet). I always had a button on my throttle control to engange and disengage the parking brake, so when pushing it in the default plane it wouldnt set parking, the red line with "PARKING BRAKES - Press PERIOD (.) to release" kept flashing every time i pushed the button. The button itself inside the plane didnt react either. I then loaded the 737, tried the set parking button and the button inside the aircraft works. But.. that…

Hi Folks, Need some assistance please, I cannot find a solution to this. I am trying to install p3d I have tried downloading twice in case of corrupt files. This installation is going on a fresh clean Win10 pc nothing else on it however evertime I try to install i get this error. Error 1311. Source file not found(cabinet): C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp1_Prepar3D_v2_Professional_2.5.12946.0.zip\Prepar3D_v2_Professional_2.5.12946.0\data1.cab. No big deal, but this could be useful to those of you experiencing the same "bug". A few days ago I bought and installed the AEROSOFT Airbus A320/21 in my Prepar3dv2.5. As soon as the installer finished most of it's job a reboot was required, which I accepted. When system came alive again, my EDGE, IE, but also many other application fonts were corrupted and looking weird. It turns out to be a problem with the way win 10 identifies the fonts used and the fact that for some reason Arial is present in the "fingerprint" of some fonts installed for the AEROSOFT Airbus. Hi there, I was wondering if there is anybody out there who has built a home cockpit specialy designed for the QW BAe 146. I would like to know what panels they used, the amount of monitors ect.
