Hi, I've recently migrated from FSX to P3D and I'm loving it except for two things: When I try to move my mouse and type in the FMC with my mouse it has a 0.5 second delay, which makes it worse since I use a mouse yoke for controls and the delay makes controlling the aircraft very challenging. Another issue I have is sudden FPS drops, it can chill at 20-30fps for about 5-10 minutes and then drops to below 10 for about 5 seconds. It makes it very hard to play when on approach or short final. Are their any solutions to these problems? I never had the input delay in FSX and I don't know what's causing it in P3D. Thanks

I had a situation where I reinstalled a scenery and it created duplicate entries in scenery.cfg. I then tried to load up the area and my VAS was obliterated (despite the fact that I disabled, but did not remove the duplicates.) I then remembered that I did that and went in and fixed it. Wow...huge, huge difference. Just in case you ever get dupes and a VAS problem, check that!

Been happy with P3D since I got it a few months ago. Lately I have had the FPS counter turned off, and have been flying the Airbus 320 I had been locking the FPS to 30 and when I was flying the majestic Q400 it stayed right around 30 fps. The last two days I noticed that the FPS seemed to be slowing down at larger airports like Denver, and Salt Lake City, in the Airbus. Tonight I took off from KDCA with the weather bad, and I saw the FPS dip down below turn as I was climbing out. I thought for a second that maybe GSX, which I downloaded and installed the other day may have caused it, so I uninstalled that, but no difference. I then ended the flight and loaded up the Q400,…

Not saying this will be the case for all but be warned I just installed it on my works PC to have a look. FSX btw. The opening screen now plays the micolight engines sounds and Ive lost all PMDG Ng sounds. Lights also seem to be problem. Sad was looking forward to this, Glad I did not install it into P3D. This is with P3D v2.5 12946 (HF4) : ASN nailed the weather. Orbx, ASN, MyTraffic, Virtuali ... once updated all seem to be working well with HF4. Cheers, Rob.

Hi, Has anyone tried installing Traffic 360 into P3D 2.5? On their site it says it's compatible with FSX and P3D v1, but no mention of v2. Does anything need to be added to the .cfg file to get it running or any other changes need to be made? Thanks, Steve

I finally installed P3D 2.5 on a separate drive with its own Windows 7 and was very impressed.....until now. I'm using CH FlightSim Yoke and CH Pro Pedals. I have done all of the setups (NI, .cfg, P3D settings) and was going to take a flight to check out everything. Now the problem: I can't get P3D to remember any of my button settings. Everytime I shut down a flight it goes back to, apparently, the default settings. I've tried deleting assignments before I reassign a button, but that doesn't work either. This seems like it would be Programming 101 to have the assignments remembered. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not. I've searched and seen oth…

Ok, so I took the plunge and bought P3Dv2 ( which was probably my best sim buying decision in the last 2 years ... together with the emigration to win 10 Pro ... ), and have an option for a PMDG 777-200LR ( awaiting funds ), and... would really like to start using one of these programs, that put some "life" into our virtual cockpits, but I never used such a thing, and... I need advice. To put it simply, I want to decide between MCE and FS2Crew. Any suggestions really welcomed ! Sorry for the double post :-/

Just had to post about how happy I am at joining BAW, It was the one big one I wanted to join and very happy to pass how I did. Just wish they did more 73x Routes not all Airbus :mellow: for short haul. If anyone knows some good routes with payware airports for BA please suggest away. I need all the Boeing NG routes I can get, no RSA route please.

Good morning all. So a couple weeks ago, for some reason I cannot find, P3D started to take forever to load. I have been timing it and it usually takes 3-4 minutes from clicking the icon (with admin rights), to the scenario setup screen. I have gone over every thing I can think of, but can not seem to find the culprit. The only notable item is a quick flash of the "Generating Scenery Indexes" bar with every launch. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for the assistance.

If you haven't heard of it, not to worry, you will very soon. I have been doing some reading around the net and it looks like our life as simmers is going to be very bright indeed. Several sources are saying this new memory will start to show up in early part of 2016. I will not even try to explain how it works but in a nut shell....Computer will not be limited in how much memory you can use. Memory will run 1000 times faster. Yes one thousand and at far less heat and power requirements. Looks like the near future will be a unit that is both your harddrive and memory sticks. The internet guessers from Forbs Mag. think the cost will be in the area of what SSD's go for now.…

Hi, I am starting another thread as my last request for help got lost in sea of replies slagging off win10 and people saying told you so...... Basically, to all people running win10 and an SLi setup, would you mind sharing your NI, NVCP and in game settings, as my P3d install is running at around half the speed it used to before I updated to the final build. Used to get around 50 FPS, now around 25. I know it can work very well, I had it working very well, but the elusive combination of correct settings eludes me for now...thanks PS, I have looked on Robs's site, but there are 2 different pages of NI settings there for 2 drivers, neither of which I am using .…

I would like to uninstall one of the Orbx payware airports. I went to the official FTX website and found the procedure to do so under the FAQ's. It looks pretty straight forward. Within the instructions it states to "Run FTXconfigrator.exe (silent operation, it removes the scenery library entries)". My question is: where is the FTXconfigrator.exe located within the main Orbx file in FSX? I was going to ask this question on the official support site but the FAQ is locked. I found several other items that are identified as FTXconfigrator but no "exe" notation afterward. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. Raymie

First of all, I never get OOMs, so even though I installed this free trial program, I can't prove that it works or not to drastically reduce or cure OOMs, but a couple of P3D users on Facebook yesterday, claim that it works great. The person that first posted about it working, said he tried the 30 day free trial, prior to which he got OOMs and just about every flight. As soon as he installed this product, his OOMs went away. Apparently the 30 day free trial has more features, some of which are stopped at the end of the 30 days, but the core program remains to use for free. Hi everyone I decided to 'upgrade' to Win 10 just allowing it to overwrite my Win 7 installation Everything went fine and P3D seems to be playing ball but I have an issue with my GoFlight modules Before .. when I started P3D the GoFlight modules would light up and off we go ..... Now I am finding that I have to initiate the modules by double clicking of the GFDev icon which resides in the modules folder and then they will 'sort of' work Some modules behave themselves and other just won't start at all I do find that in the GF config utility manager all my modules are showing and all of the settings are there ..... Anyone else found this anomaly? …

Hi folks, Just curious for any Vectors owners out there if they are experiencing autogen appearing on certain airports. Specifically, there is section of KLAS that is covered in autogen. I can solve the issue by disabling VECTORS_EXX from the library, but this is rather inconvenient because I need it enabled elsewhere. So I'm just asking around if this is a systematic issue with all, or just limited to me?

I installed it today. Used the Flight1 FSX registry fixer to fool the installer to think FSX is installed in the P3Dv2.2 folder, and created an FSX.exe there too. The A2A installer, latest version, goes through the normal process and installs the aircraft without problems. Then I used the latest Core Accusim update ( 1.6 ) from the A2A site and the C172 was patched accordingly. So far so good, until I started the sim and chose the A2A C172 :-/ Nothing worked, the engine didn't start, the controls din't move, etc.... Ran into this today, and decided to post it here because according to two other people this only happens with P3D and not FSX. I was running the trial version of GSX ground services with my Airbus 319, and everything worked perfectly. I loaded up the aircraft and did the pushback using GSX, which is pretty cool. Then I took off from EDDM to EGBB and quickly realized that I had lost all view control of EZdok. My arrow keys wouldn't work or the zoom in and out either. All I could do was switch views. I checked all the settings in EZdok and they were all correct. Eventually I switched to an external view, and EZdok locked there and just quit running. I finally aborted th…

P3D CTD and appcrash says it's "gaugesound.dll" I found other threads on this in FS9 and FSX, but nothing really specific to P3D. Anyone have any idea?

I thought about changing my graphics card because up till 2 months ago there was no Sli profile for PD3, I have 1 single gtx 690 4 gig card, its a Sli card so i was pretty certain i was only utilizing 2 gig of card, so i download the Evega Perecion X 16 tool http://www.evga.com/precision/ amazing tool, it runs on top of PD3 and from the pic you can see that that its running in Sli perfectly, great tool it monitors heat temps as well, i'm dizzy with excitement, happy with my card again :rolleyes: The Evga tool is on the left. Hello, I'm facing some weird behavior of the scenery and would like to know how to fix it. I'm using: P3D 2.5 with hotfix 6 Windows 10 Pro 64bits ORBX Global ORBX Vector ORBX Global openLC Europe Trees HD + Most of ORBX areas in Europe, NA I ran Vector configurator, disabled Secondary and 3rd runways. It took me a hole day to upgrade to windows 10 mainly because i did not have the luxus of been giving an update from the bar. So after a lot of trial and error including a very rare ORBX TODO file error that blocked the installation i am finally here with an upgrade. Now there seems to be alot going on in background processes and so far i cant tell which to turn of but i do still have the rightclick mouse issue and the menu SLI issue with latest drivers 353.62 Also it seems like the network is somehow blocked to server ASN so i have to dig into that. About FPS its the same but it do feel very smooth panning around. Michael Moe

I am having a problem all of a sudden with FPS drop to 0-8 when i go to the menu bar. the sim is also studdering with good FPS. all this is new. I was messing with the GPU clock but have reset it back to it original settings. I did upgrade the EVGA Precision X software . I am running GTX980 stock settings, I7 4790k @4.40 16 meg ram P3d, ASN, EZdock, Any ideas i don't want to do ANOTHER clean install. last time i did all was running perfect. i should have left it alone... Overall my performance is really good but one thing I noticed is that if I fly at dusk and there's overcast conditions and I'm above the clouds my GPU load is pinned at 99% and I get pretty bad stuttering. By the time I get lower and almost start descending through the clouds the load decreases and the stuttering issue goes away. I've never experienced this issue when flying under the same conditions but during daytime. I'm using REX Soft Clouds (DX5) and I've tried reducing both the CDD as well as the max upper visibility settings in ASN but to no avail. I've also tried removing some of the shadow options in P3D but still to no avail. I need to find some way to ease …
