In P3dv5.3, I noticed that when spring came upon us almost a week ago, my scenery changed accordingly. However, the trees show beautiful fall colors of orange, yellow and various shades of brown. What's up with that? I don't see those colors outside my window. I see trees starting to bud and evergreen trees dominating various terrains. I seem to remember that when spring came in P3d or FSX for that matter, the trees were mostly green and in strong contrast to the winter's empty branches and desolate landscape. Are you experiencing the same look for the season?

Hello guys, lately I have been having weird AI behavior after landing at the following airports: FSDT KIAH FB KMSP FSDT KCLT For instance, AI is parked very odd, like on the ramp and not on the gate and parked clustered together, some faced the opposite way of the terminal, etc. At KCLT, some AI were parked on the grass in between taxiways and on the middle of the taxiway sideways. There are plenty of gates open and I have extra parking all over the terminal. I did notice yesterday when I landed at MSP I saw an Delta Airbus like float and then hit the ground all weird, like it just randomly fell out of the sky into the sim. I have double triple…

Hi there, would like to ask if there is a possibility to install a V5 scenery on V4? Background: I wanted to buy the scenery non "MK-Varna EKVG Veroer Island" for the V4. Unfortunately, MK-Studio has withdrawn this V4 version from the SimMarket. I bought the V5 version and tried to install it. Without success. Is there a solution, because this scenery is a "missing link" in my landscape. Regards, Bernd

I'm asking about three settings, and although I have tried them...I would like to fully understand their intent, if activated: Dynamic Texture Streaming Variable Rate Refresh Motion Blur. I tried looking them up, but there is no true 'why' and 'where for' for use of any or all three individual settings. So, can anybody give me a general overview of each setting, and why one would want to, or not want to use them to give better texture clarity and update, as well as smoother FPS (animation). Thanks, will be looking forward to any replies on thread... 🙂

I have the Cherokee 180, the Comanche 250 and the bonanza. All are professional models. None will run in the latest version of P3d. They show up, but do not function. Has anyone found a way to make them work? All help is appreciated. I used the A2A installers. Bill W

Hi All, suddenly I have noticed bursts of sound distortion which are sometimes accompanied by a short freezing of the sim. I switched the sound output to my head set and its there as well. Other sound sources such as playing music from the music folder work fine thru both speakers and headset. Sound files in the P3D folder also are without distortion. Any suggestions for this? I only realised recently that Digital Design had updated their GCTS Tenerife South product, and it is nice to see that they have included photoscenery for the entire island of Tenerife this time. The airport upgrades are very welcome, but I was surprised to discover that the taxiway designation system in the AFD file was incomplete. Has anyone else noticed that taxi instructions do not include the main taxiway Tango? That is because it is not defined at all in the AFD file, and neither are most of the runway exit taxiway Bravo designations. So expanding on the ORBX Global and ORBX vector threads both of which seem to have concluded (unless I am reading them wrong) that Vector and Global are no longer required... I put required in italics as they were never "required" but always highly recommended to enhance the default scenery. Along those lines in P3d V4 I had a few more what I would call "global or base layer add-ons" to enhance P3D. Those included the Ultimate Terrain Series, GEP3D, and Toposim Mesh... My question is are any of these required or even recommended anymore for V5? Reading the recent threads it seems the sim looks pretty good on it's own and in some cases performs better …

Hello everyone, I have been trying to get ISG gauges working for the DC-10 within Prepar3D for some time now. I followed the instructions (https://www.dropbox.com/s/huvhow2w1q4ypv4/JF_DC10_Install_Guide.pdf?dl=1) which outlines that after installation there should be a "DC1010.cfg, DC1030.cfg" file. Although I manage to install it into my root P3D folder I cannot seem to find any corresponding file. I have done the update from 187 to 189 Beta but there is still nothing there... Can someone help me to make gauges in the DC-10 (ND,PFD, FMC, EHSI)? Thanks in advance! Niels

Up until now I had been satisfied with how P3DV5.3 with HF and the latest version of AS 8080 was handling clouds and weather. I had not seen the blocky patterns of the past until I pulled up an airport (YSTW NSW Australia at 1800 hours) that was reporting overcast cloud at 5100 ft and Thunderstorms in the area right on sunset. This is what it looked like - downright strange and it did not matter which direction you panned or swiveled to it looked the same. I have not seen this before. I need a bit of help. I have been successfully using AIG AI planes for quite a while, my airports have been well populated. Now, with the required update to the software, I find I have perhaps 1 or two planes where previously there were dozens. For instance at Heathrow, there was only 1 Air New Zealand and one Qantas at mid-day today. The Menus are not as "obvious" as previously and I can't find where to see what planes I might have or how to activate them. Can someone please help? Ian

I do not recall v4.5’s night sky looking so ugly but in v5.3 my night sky is filled with these unrealistic white dots that I guess is suppose to mimick a star filled sky but it looks sooooo baaaaad. To the point I hate flying at night. Can anyone tell me how I can at least dim the stars or a way I can delete them all together?

I have not used the two aircrafts after updating to 5.3 HF2. Today I tried å flight with the c172. At lift off, the aircraft turned hard to the left, and almost rolled over. I then tried the c182, with the same result. I have not experienced this in earlier versions of P3d, and I have checked both my flight yoke and rudder pedals, and they seem to be ok. With the Mooney I have no problems. Can anyone help? Tor Arild

Well, I've tried installing Zinertek Airport HD textures, into P3D v5 root folder (same procedure I did with FSX and P3D v4), but somehow the airport terminals and aprons do not recognize them and keep the same default textures. This didn´t happen with v4. Looks like LM changed all the airport texturing for v5. Does anybody know which textures can I use instead?

I have just noticed that there is a version 1.1.0 update for ORBx EGPN Dundee that apparently corrects the misaligned runway centreline markings. I have been asking for this over the past eighteen months, so hopefully I can now land at the airport without having to shut my eyes

I upgraded to v5 today after I got my complete new PC build. So I also installed the Lorby Addon Manager and on the first run I got the warning Ivalid or broken package - Visual FX Tools and Traffic Toolbox - missing addon.xml I recognized that these both tools are sitting under the Settings - Addons tab. They seems to be from Lockheed direct but never heard. Can I deactive the addons to use the addon manager without the warning? Or is there a corrupted install?

For years, I have used this FSUIPC capability to give me the AIRPORT NAMES as I fly. It's a toggle on/off feature that I control with a selected keyboard press. I first read about this a few years back on this forum and I have been using it ever since. I allows me to see the airport names in a small red font that is unobtrusive and can be toggled on when you want it. So my wife got me one of these. I have currently all my stuff going through fsuipc and LINDA with my VRinsight MCP2. I know this should add to that and not replace I presume. It seems like all profiles for it are for MSFS only though on my Google search. Can someone tell me a good place to start with this? Do I need AAO? Not sure where to get started. I only fly the FSL, PMDG type aircraft it that helps.

Hi, I'm in P3Dv5.3 HF2 and I have it working fairly well. The one thing I've noticed is that I get (I don't know if the term is a stutter or a long frame) every 2 seconds at my FSDreamteam sceneries; particularly KJFK, KLAX and PHNL. PHNL also has crazy elevation issues after long flights (certain objects floating, on angles, etc.) I haven't seen this behaviour at any other complex add-on airports. Is it just that these sceneries are now old enough that the techniques used to create them will always have issue in v5, or could there be another cause? How can I do the throttle to be more smooth? But When I want to use the throttle, it is very tight and I can hardly use the throttle.
