Hi I've done a complete reinstall of my PC and P3D. Now if I want to start GSX and connect the jetways I get the message "SODE is unavailable jetways will not animate." When I check the SODE platform manager it says that SODE isn't registered. I closed the sim, activated SODE then restarted P3D v5 and nope still same message. When I go back to the platform manager it says that the sim isn't registered. I have no idea what to do. Any ideas?

Hey all, Just thought I'd leave this heads-up here. A while ago I got ThaiCreation's Kathmandu airport for FSX. I decided to give it a whirl in P3Dv4, just to see what it looks like. FSX airports in P3Dv4 generally have been a bit of a mixed bag for me, with airports working 100% sometimes, and other time snot at all. Some of them need to be manually converted to P3Dv4 using modelconverterx, such as Taxi2Gate's Cuban airports. Hello everyone, I am seeking some advice as I am unable to fix this issue myself. Some months ago before I relocated I destroyed my FS setup by installing the FSLABS Control Center and running an update on the FSL Library. Ultimately I removed all add ons and did a complete reinstallation of P3D by following the guide on the P3D forum. However, with a brand new installation of P3D I am getting no more than 8 fps with the default scenario. Flying the PMDG 772ER, I cannot see the landing lights illuminate the ground..... at all. external view has a little bit of lighting on the ground, but faint. Anyone know a solution? FYI - I have not tried other planes as I mostly fly during the day. just wanted to do a night flight today. 5.3 HF2

Hey, Which of the P3D options/settings are CPU dependent, and which are GPU dependant? I am curious as to which options put more load on the CPU vs the GPU.

Hey! This has been something that I've been wondering about for a bit, but has anyone been able to get the CLS 747-200/300 to work on P3Dv4/P3Dv5? For me when I download it, the textures show fine and look fine, but the vc on the other hand doesn't appear, and some of the gauges are missing/not functional. I was wondering if someone has put a tutorial on how to fix those if they have done it. Thanks!

Hi Folks. I had utLive working in P3D v5 hf1, then I decided to completely clean my drives and do a new install of P3D from scratch. So I have no old P3D V4.5 on my drives any more to work with. I have tried all the install instructions found in another thread but I cannot get it to work, ( no traffic showing at all). I'm getting on a bit and not much of a techi, so could someone kindly show me the way forward in the simplest of terms please. hi everyone, I still use the default ATC. I used to have “turn next taxiway” and then “contact ground” when exiting the runway. But this does not occur anymore. I simply have contact ground when the main wheels touch the ground. And before I even finish the landing sequence. does anyone know where to look? Is this AFCAD related ? Traffic addons (AIG in my case ) perhaps edit voice pack ? Thanks Chris

Hi, I've had the problem for a long time that the clouds move unnaturally. I realize it can be caused by wind.. But my problem is that the clouds "always" move from left to right .. no matter what the weather and wind direction ... I noticed the problem for the first time with 5.3.. I've easily done more than 50 flights and always the same effect.. the clouds move from left to right...which can't be natural. Active Sky and the rest is up to date.. Do you have any ideas what this could be or how I can fix it?

I mentioned in another thread that my flight sim setup has many (7) 1080 monitors. Consequently, I’m using multiple networked PCs and WidevieW. I’ve spent enough time trying to get it all working together smoothly that I finally had to walk away from it all for a bit. I’m back. PC= i7-9700K, 32 GB RAM, Z390 AORUS motherboard, RTX-2080. Should it be possible to put all seven monitors on one PC (by adding a second GPU (RTX-2070) and still achieve reasonable frame rates? Thanks. Scott

Hi guys, My pc crashed and I had to reinstall win10 and p3dv5. I did not deactivate my p3dv5 license because, well ...my pc crashed. I get this activation error now and I just can't get the product activated. It keeps telling me to deactivate it first so I can activate it again on my new pc.. How am I supposed to solve this? A couple years ago, I walked away from flight sim, partly because of frustrations with P3D and WidevieW working nicely together, spending more time troubleshooting problems than flying. in the meantime, I saw much ado about MSFS. I decided to stick with P3D for the following reasons, but unsure if my reason is factually correct: Desire for multiple screens. I have 5 external monitors / views. One monitor for instrument panel and another for GPS screen. It’s my understanding MSFS still doesn’t support this. And one question: I seem to remember that using an SSD for scenery files brings no advantage over a 7200 rpm HDD; is that still the prevailing opinion? …

Today started the updater again and to my surprise a few sceneries were updated. There were different update reasons. They take some care for their products it seems. The airbuses were not updated.

Hey Guys, I've been out of the loop for a while with Covid, very gradually getting better but its effects have hung on for a long time that's kept me out of the paint booth as well. I did manage to paint a few 600s and 700s before I got sick, and they are already available at the Flight1 Library here. Hi Guys, Looking for a little help or assistance.I have been flying the QW 787 since FSX days up until P3Dv5.But the total darkness of the cockpit even in daylight hours is totally unflyable for me. I was wondering if anyone has presets from FSL Spotlights(i did find one on their forums but it made little difference) that they would be willing to share with me or even make me a preset,i would be willing to pay or make a donation towards AVSIM. I have tried myself to lighten the cockpit with FSL Spotlights but im not that good at anything like that,again any help would be greatly appreciated. With Thanks Gary Jones

Hello, does someone having the same issue? I'm getting a CTD when I spawn in GMMX e.g Gate 3 and looking to the left (Scenery by PerfectSoft P3D v5) . The CTD comes on the same point of view at each time - g2d.dll error. Don't know why - any possible solutions? Thanks

Hi, I made a mistake this evening opening a .bgl file with notepad and for some reason all my scenery files are now missing the .bgl at the end of the name causing an issue. Is there a way to get it back so the file in file explorer show xxx.bgl again ? I tried seaching, but since I run W11 I am not able to use the thread from 2004. Hope someone are able to help.
