Hello everyone, currently i have the fsx sp2, i don't know the system properties of my computer but with my current settings (aircraft quality full, the rest low) I get an average performance. I am thinking about purchasing the P3D, will i get an average Performance with the correct settings in P3D? Or at least is there any legal ways to get the older V4 version?

Howdy: I was wondering why there are two versions of add-ons.cfg -- one in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\ and one in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\. I ran Winmerge on these two files and they are significantly different. Anybody know why there are two versions and what they are used for (I assume that the one in Program Data is used to store active/non-active status and a listing of what is installed). Just curious. Many thanks!

Hi, Is there a way to hurry up the GSX boarding process already in progress. I'm using FSLabs AOC boarding process and pressed the 'boarding' LSK. That was about 40min ago and still the pax are boarding, at least 30% to go. I noticed the 'Instant' LSK, but that isn't functioning. I'm watching paint drying, I would like to depart 😉 Is there a way to hurry up the pax? Egbert P.S. I'm glad I didn't chose the 747 or 777 🙂

P3DV5. Anybody else having CTD's when they open and resize a 2D window on a second monitor while flying? I notice it happens when I try to resize the ATC window mainly, but it has happen also with other 2D windows, like a GPS for example. This has been happening to me since version 5.0. All versions of P3DV5 have been very stable otherwise. 370 flights and 900 hours and not one CTD's unless I've been resizing a 2D window on a second monitor. Sometimes it happens right away while resizing a 2D window or a few minutes after resizing a 2D window. John C.

This is not a my sim is better than your sim thread. I have simply made the decision that P3DV5 is probably my last sim. I am 73 years old and I have been syming since FS98. I say this because P3DV5 meets all my needs very well. I have all the aircraft, scenery and airports I require. The performance and visuals completely meet my expectations. It has become apparent that should P3DV6 be released without third party developer support, I am better off staying with what I got. No need to update hardware until it dies. No real need for more aircraft or scenery. I would like to see the PMDG DC-6 in V5 but even if the does not happen, I have the A2A Connie. I am content. My fe…

I picked up several South American v4 airports (and a couple of v5) and have a couple of general observations. There are colorful and really cheap little airports that work fine in v5, even though their sold as v4. The easy ones are the ones without jetways, and I can't wait to try out the new feature of GSX.. I found one dev who supplied the files for GSX integration, but most of the others pose problems. Mostly the jetways won't work or they don't even appear. Clearly they need SODE jetways and the GSX files, but these are not mainstream enough to find these in the usual places. SAEZ Buenos Aires and SLVR Viru Viru airport are good examples of something gone wrong.. Als…

Hi guys, I am recently thinking to get some third party terrain mesh for P3D V5, but not sure if it's needed or not. I mainly fly in Europe and South/North America, and have ORBX openLC packs for those areas. Checking around I saw there is a free global terrainmesh called freemeshx, and then a payware FS Global Ultimate. Could you please advise which one is better (in terms of quality?) for P3D V5? The last time I used FS Global 2010, but that was in the FS9 days.. Considering freemeshx is freeware I'm also curious what advantages (if any) the paid one has over it. Thanks

Looks like FSDreamTeam just released a 10th anniversary update to GSX with the much wanted feature: walk-in gates! Thanks to FSDT for listening to the community and adding this much-wanted feature. EDIT: Whoops mods sorry, didn't see the other topic, please delete.

Despite a surfeit of v5 airports, there are still a few that didn't make it. I don't even know if any work. BUT if anyone has any v4 airports that work fine in v5 (and are not represented in v5) I'd like to hear about them. Especially South America destinations or otherwise off the beaten airy path. I tried Viru Viru--nope. Haven't tried any since. Anything is better than arriving at the same default airport wherever you go.

https://secure.simmarket.com/riddlez-bellingham-international-kbli-fsx-p3d.phtml Does anybody use this scenery? Just curious if it's a good one and more importantly if any issues in V5 since it doesn't list as V5 compatible on the site.

Orbx have released their outlook for 2022 and whilst it is mostly FS2020 stuff, there is some news for the ESP users among us: https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/212392-what-we-are-working-on-2022/ Large wall of text, short summary: Prague for all sims, first one out will be MSFS (imminent!) Product page is already up, hopefully won't be long Landmarks Panama Canal is about to be finished too, with lots of exciting features Updates to both our New Zealand mesh (the promised high-resolution LiDAR data) and Landmarks Auckland More of our PC-based landmarks products to be adjusted for release on Xbox OpenLC Asia - tricky as Eugene, the devel…

Hi all. Can someone give me a link on how to install OZx and Ants Aussie Airports into P3D (v 5.3)? I installed them into the P3D add-on folder however, they don't show in the scenery library. I'm sure this has been asked many times but I can't find any links. Thanks, Mike C

Hi, Does anyone know of a tool that can track actual changes to all the settings within the P3D.cfg file? I am aware of Lorbys Addon Manager tool being able to make backups of various config files, but wondered if there is a tool that tracks the changes inside these types of files over time? Thx!

What could trigger the following entry in FSUIPC.LOG (version 5152e3) ? 9210500 ### Mode: FREEZE_ATT on FREEZE_ALT on FREEZE_LATLON on I have a situation where after a certain time of flight on a multi-legs session, P3Dv4 HF2 would start to freeze for a few second every time I issue a "reset eyepoint" in any view using the PMDG NGXu and this entry is added to FSUIPC.LOG when it happens. That's the only log having an entry corresponding to the freeze. I am trying to identify what possible actions can produce this entry in the log, in the hope it would help me solve the "freeze" issue. Any idea ? BTW, PMDG is unable to reproduce the issue.

Check the Flight1 Facebook page or their website for the official announcement. In the mean time, Steve has been painting a few in his "spare time" LoL. Disclaimer: All screens are pics of the Beta version, some items depicted may change before release (standard disclaimer 😉 ) I won't be able to devote as much time on this release as the base 800/900, but I'll paint what I can with the time I have...I have a LOT of paint projects all in progress right now. (I am not an official F1/iFly representative/employee, I was just engaged to provide some paints for the project) She is spectacular guys...and the 700 is my favorite of the bunch to…

Milviz announced that they are leaving the P3D enthusiast market. They will still develop for the P3D commercial/ military market but these products will not be available to the enthusiast, but may in time get ported to MSFS. They talk about the difficulties in getting complex study level systems into MSFS compared to P3D. At this time the state of MSFS means they can’t employ complex systems into the sim however the customer base of P3D has dried up to nothing with the release of MSFS , so they’ve decided to drop P3D enthusiast development. It’s not entirely all bad news as they’ve now put all their legacy P3D products on sale at 50%, but without support. …

Have been away from the sim world for a year or so. Decided to try v5.3 today and notice jagged shadow on a buildings at SFO. It also moves when I pan my view. Any idea what can be the cause? Haven't seen it in previous version of P3D.

At the JF store, it's $86 US and cheaper at SimMarket even with a few reward points I have with JF. I'm guessing this is not one of their Aeroplane Heaven developments that have historically brought plenty of issues to be fixed along with the usual stuffed Christmas stocking of JF variants and liveries. It says it was released in 2021 and doesn't look bad. (Their TriStar Pro was really dated, I thought, eventually got deleted.) As a sucker for weird old jets and not one to turn up my nose at JF, the question is not so much as "is it worth that much?" but, assuming I would be willing to pay that for an oddball pocket quadjet to add to my collection, any significant, specif…
