So after hours and hours of trying to configure my new computer (AMD [email protected] GHz: Quad Core, 8GB RAM, GTX 950, 2 TB, Windows 10 64 Bit), I can't get FSX:SE to run well at all on it. I get 5-7 fps in the NGX and I know I should get more than that. I have FTX Global, the NGX, PMDG 777, Aerosoft Airbus, TFDI 717, and various scenery addons installed. I am really interested in getting something to run correctly, so I basically have two questions. Do you think I need to tweak FSX:SE more, or do you think I need to get P3D? Additionally, do you think that this computer will not run either games well? Should I spring for a more powerful computer? If so, all my budget could …

Good evening, I have a gaming mouse with some buttons and I would like to use , but I tried to assign in the P3D control menù and I can't do it. Can somebody help me to do this? thank you in advance Ric

Can anyone offer some advice to a new boy to P3D. I have at last managed to get good frames and get Vsync working properly. However, even with water quality set to maximum, I get rediculously dreadful looking water. I'm using REX essentials for water, sky and clouds. Help appreciated. Cheers.

Hey everyone, Dont ask me how, but all my slew keys are just gone! I was customizing the layout in GSX, and it randomly stopped working. So I went into settings, and found all the slew keys except slew on/off where gone! Could someone please export there controls for me so that I can download it and then import it on my sim so that I can get those keys back. This is a fresh install on P3D on a fresh install of windows, but yet i am having issue after issue after issue! Thanks, Kevin

Just downloaded and installed a new freeware scenery and I'm having some issues with the airport textures. When looking at the airport from a top-down view at a fairly close distance, as well as from the ground, there are certain taxiways and apron markings missing, and the runways also change. However, when I zoom out by two notches in the top-down view, everything appears as it should. Any ideas?

Howdy pilots. I got FSX-SE set up nicely, no crashes, no VAS issues, PMDG planes and ORBX scenery. Is it worth to switch performance wise? The PMDG 747 is about to be released and i'm simply wondering if it is worth keeping FSX at this point. I would still use it for 777 and NGX (I only fly airliners) as I don't see a reason to buy the same product again but if performance is better than I might start migrating at this point. Anybody here use both? I'm on Devil's Canyon running at safe 4.7GHz, 32GB RAM, SSDs and GTX 970 (SLI if needed).

Hi, I have a an extra 4th monitor i hooked up on my second GPU using an HDMI input and tried with both SLI setup on my main screen which black out GPU 2 (using one monitor in SLI is only possible) and with a normal 4 screen setup "using/activating all screens" in the Nvidia control panel. I have noticed a differents in VAS if i use this mode (using "all monitors" that will set me back about 270MB) This is in Danish but you should recognise what i meen . In these settings below i dont use SLI but gain 270MB just by setting it to maximum performance under SLI mode . Only problem is my 4th screen is black and useless . After a year out, I did a freash install of everything. So after reading all the doom and gloom over 3.4 I will I liitle bothered how it would go. Well PMDG NG AS Dubin FT EHAM AS16- AS Cloud art with REX Clouds=soft clouds New caseplane(1.5) (love it) FTX Global and vector. EIDW to EHAM, landed and at gate 1.1GB VAS left Return flight 1.3GB left. So I must be lucky! or doing completely fresh install did the job?

So I have been building a new PC (high end) over the last few weeks and also made the switch over to P3D with it. I haven't installed much at all, just the PMDG 777 and Activesky 2016 I am running nvidia inspector and my settings in P3D are fairly medium (shadows off, most bars 3/4 to the right, no AI). For the PC I built, I feel as though I could be running everything on max. Hello all. I am a P3D v2.5 user and I am dacing a small problem that is really bothering me. Yesterday I installed the FSDT CYVR scenery and all seemed ok during the installation process. Today I noticed that my F10 key no longer brings up the 2D panel on all of the aircraft I have installed. Since am not a huge fan of the 3D panel I'd like your help in trying to solve this issue. Hello all. I am using P3D v2.5 and for some strange reason my F10 key no longer works to toggle the 2D panel. I am not a huge fan of the 3D panel, so I use the 2D panel 99% of the time. Does anyone have any idea of what might be going on ? Thanks. AZ.

Well, this was interesting. I'm currently using Nvidia 372.80 as my driver. It works fine with SLI and there is no flashing of smoke, etc. Just installed the new client and notice that the menu's and red text are flashing and the FPS is a stuttering mess that matched the flashing. Tried the various rebuild cfg, shaders, dll.xmlfiles etc and found that if I disabled SLI - the flashing stopped. Tried several different drivers including 373.09 which Rob says works for him and the latest 376.33. They ALL have the flashing and severe stuttering. I'll keep going back through earlier drivers to see if I can find one that works with SLI. Other than that I haven't had …

I am running out of space on my ssd from photoscenery and a few other larger files. I was thinking of getting an external hd to keep all of my scenery on that and to have p3d load the scenery from the external drive. Is this possible? Are there any recommended drives or things I should avoid?

OK, I am getting to a point where I am about to drop my flight simming into a big trash can! In six years of simming I have never been so frustrated and angry as I am at the moment. Since October I have reinstalled FSX-SE twice and installed P3D, hoping that it would be my saviour. This is after the rebuild and OC of a pretty beefy machine.See signature. To all intents and purposes, I see P3D as a keeper, :smile: except for this one thing..... for some reason, after starting a flight, within about ten minutes, my fps drop from about a relatively smooth 30 to a stuttering mess of anything between 12-18! I just re-installed a fresh updated version of 3.4 and followed all the Avsim recommended steps. Everything is working perfectly and looks good, except the two menu buttons "load" and "save". When I use them they cause P3D to crash. The rest of the menu items are all working fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I don't see anything in the Avsim CTD Guide relating to this unless I am just missing it. Update: Apparently it is a kernelbase.dll error. I am searching for a way to fix that.

Hello there AVSIM members, I have a question. On the PMDG 777 and 737 how and where do I get the the runway ILS frequencies from on the FMC? PS, Can you also tell me whether the real world ILS approach charts from IVAO have the actual simming frequencies of the sim's runways and airports? Do they differ? It has been a long time since I tried to rebuild the config file, today I decided to do so but when I started P3D the splash screen went on but hung up. I noticed that the task manager didn't show P3D either and the config file was partially rebuilt. Has anyone here had a similar problem and got it fixed? thanks

I just installed the QW757. It worked just fine when I opened the sim, just black gauges. So I installed the service pack next. After that is when p3d stopped working. Now when I try to open it a loading bar shows up but then it just goes into the background. My attempt at fixing this was to uninstall all my Quality Wings files. I have searched all the forums and non of the solutions work on mine. I would prefer not to have to do a clean install of p3d. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Solution: Removed p3d file from %appdata%, %localappdata%, and %programdata%. Do not delete these files just incase this solution doesn't work! This makes the sim regenera…

I've been fighting with what I have thought are massive blurries ever since I got P3D. All of those youtube videos with sharp textures aren't helping. But, I recently came across a video that shows pretty much what my textures are like. Basically, they're sharp as I start my climb, and the further up I go the more blurry they get (which is expected). It takes until I'm on final for the textures to sharpen up again. It's not bad as I descend but it takes a lot longer to sharpen than I thought it would with my system (i5 6600k at 4.5ghz GTX 1060 16GB RAM). If I do a windview or external the blurries are slightly worse but I don't use those much anyway so it's not a bi…

I am having a graphic issue with the Concorde-x performance calculator: Every other concorde utility window (fuel loading, etc) looks normal. Only the performance calculator looks like this, which makes me think it's not a display setting issue. Anyone else having this issue?

I just bought a Speedlink Airrow joystick ( or flightstick as they like to call it) All works fine except the hat knob, the one you use to pan around in the cockpit P3D (v3.5.5) does not see that button. I tried using fsuipc, but that does not seem to work either Anyone using this joystick and got it to work ?
