I am thinking about getting a 'smallish' laptop but I am also looking at an Android tablet instead: light, easy, touch, longer battery, etc. I was also thinking about using that laptop for a few flightsim things like checking charts but also maybe to run PFPX or ANS etc. Now for those things a tablet isn't of much use of course... So I was wondering if there is ANY good use for an Android tablet with P3D...? Maybe there are some interesting apps for it?

I'm looking to change the default clouds in P3D. When I used FSX I bought Real Environment Xtreme (REX) Essential Plus w/ OverDrive but it included many things I didn't use like a weather engine. I appreciate it also has replacement runway and water textures as well as numerous sky and cloud textures. But it was a massive package and I don't really need something as extensive as that now. There's mention on the REX forum of a small subscription to make it work with P3D. It's a possibility depending on the subscription. Hello, I have a question about how may I update the VOR, NDB, Waypoints, etc. for my simulator, P3D v3.4 I have the AIRAC Cycle 1704 and inside I have a lot of files and folders, and I really don't know how to install this. I saw a videotutorial explaining the process for X-Plane 10 and 11, and for those simulators is very easy. You have a RAR file which says xplane10_native_1704.zip and xplane11_native_1704.zip For X-Plane is so easy as uncompress those files in certain folder of the simulator (Xplane 11 or Xplane 10), you use Xplane10_native for X-Plane 10 and xplane11_native for X-Plane 11, and that is all, very easy. I've been having an issue lately in P3D. There are so many helpful people in here I figured to check to see if anyone has had this problem or any recommendations. Lately, every time I start P3D and load my aircraft, in the background, my Explorer keeps opening new windows VERY quickly and I am not able to hit ALT and get my menu options. It will flash and then disappear. I can still manage to fly but it is rather annoying. The IE windows just keep opening new tabs and the only way to stop it is to hit X a bunch and close them out. However, eventually it will start happening again once I try to open different applications such as a Pilotedge client or Vatsim. Any ide…

Im getting pauses on the takeoff roll/approach into MEM. This happens regardless of scenery options, aircraft, weather engine. FSDT recently released a new installer for MEM as well as for the Addon Manager. I uninstalled the old MEM and reinstalled the new one. I am however still getting this pause..only at MEM and no other FSDT scenery. Its really annoying. I'm using thee YouControl native P3D objects. I've also messed around with Anti-popup and a few other FSDT scenery settings and nothing seems to work. Hi, I have searched in the forum to no avail cause everythin I do/did is a total failure, even Opus camera manager hardly failed. Is there a way ( without having to be a C++ super skilled developer ) to assign a key to a custom camera ( VC ) ? The default F9 VC is not the eyepoint I like at all. I have tried few tutorials but or they are incomplete or they do not work or maybe I did something wrong. Much much appreciated

Hi ! I just bought FTX England scenery - my first ORBX add-on. I wanted to post this on the ORBX support forum, but when I click on the forums link there I don't see any forums, just a couple of images. I've tried in both Chrome and Mozilla. So that's why I'm posting here. I'm using this in P3D, and it doesn't appear to working correctly. Firstly, I can see road traffic everywhere, but no roads. Another problem is that areas where there should be water are covered with ground textures. These two issues make it almost impossible to use the software for VFR, since nothing is recognisable. I've installed P3D v3 yesterday and my first impression was how dark everything looks. I haven't changed my TV settings which were fine for FSX. I do have HDR enabled on the Lighting and switching it off does make things brighter externally but overall it still seems very dark. Are there other settings that can cure this?

Approach on KATL involves three complete stop in action for approximately 5 seconds each. I have a system that handles all other 3rd party airports with fluidity and great FPS. I have disabled some of the goodies on this airport and nothing changes. I am flying PMDG NGS and have excellent FPS on approach even in the evening. I understand that it is a large area but I have other large airports and cities. I have seen videos of smooth landings at this airport. Just wondering if others have this problem and if they were able to solve it. Thanks for any impute and responses.

Persistence may be reaping rewards over at the LM forums as interest is now being expressed by one if their representatives, Rob McCarthy. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=124227 He is asking for more info to help narrow down the cause by reproducing the problem in-house. I know many believe most if not all NVIDIA drivers since 376.33 are implicated and Rob McCarthy has stated that LM have contacted NVIDIA. I had P3D and all addons installed on a crucial ssd. Now, I installed a second, but much faster SSD (Samsung 950) in my computer and moved the ORBX folder, Scenery Folder and SimObjects folder to the new faster SSD. Then i created symbolic links from the original p3d folder on my existing ssd to the folders on the new SSD. I was hoping to achieve the following: 1) To create space on my existing SSD, and 2) I was hoping that the scenery would load much faster since the new SSD has much faster loading speeds. Of course number I achieved more space on my existing ssd but when starting and loading a sim session in P3D the scenery does not load any faster as before. There…

Sudendly my frame rate went down, my CPU usage is 40%, my memory usage 30%, i don't know what went wrong. My computer have a I7 CPU, with 16gb RAM, a NVIDIA 750m graphic card, and until now i'm having a frame rate 20 limited, wish is enough for me, but now is 10fps, no matter i reduce everything to low or go to high, it maintain 8 to 10 fps. I had rollback drivers Of NVIDIA but still the same. Please help.

So I installed the new FTX central. I only have Australia and the free airports and Holger mesh from the fullterrain site. I have not purchased any additional Orbx addons yet. I also have UTX for Canada and running all this on FSX-SE. I have been working on doing all of Canada's airfields before moving on to Australia. I am close with only Alberta and British Columbia left. This weekend my niece came over and she spent a year in Australia. So I installed and ran the new FTX Central as I knew I would have to go into FTX Central to adjust it to Australia. As it turns out with the new FTX Central it no longer needs to be reset for regions. After She left I went back to …

PMDG 737NGX, 777, and 747V3 aircraft cause "Error creating child Window" in P3D 3.4.22 after loading. This prevents the green window containing status, GSX, AS16, ProATCX, and other data to be displayed and the add-ons from functioning. I removed all add-ons and reinstalled PMDG products to test. In all cases, the error occurred for PMDG aircraft. The default F-22 did not show this behavior. I rolled back to Win 10 16170 and the error did not appear and P3D behaved normally. I have submitted a PMDG support ticket.

I intentionally chose it for its high quality and attention to detail. I know it has its issues but they are being worked on. First of hi everyone! I recently got back into flightsimming and started Vatsim. I am having a blast and its really great! The only thing that bugs me is that on scenery airports the ground textures (Taxiways runways etc.) are very blurry. It is kind of distracting sometimes and i cant read the markings. I tried out different settings and I saw posts saying that i need to delete some stuff and tweak some things, but i am not too keen on stuff like that. I am not to sure how to upload screenshots but if you want them i can try and get them up! Ah and i currently use Aerosofts Megaairport Zürich v2 and FlyTampas Dubai if its relevant. I started getting a few OOMs when I was on an older version of P3D (can't remember which). The client was a few updates ahead of the other files. In my attempt to solve everything I updated all of the files instead of just the client. To roll back to 3.3.5 can I do just the client? Or am I required to roll back other files as well (or are those the ones that would make a big difference)?

I always use trackir, but my view in cockpit is just slightly too high in a few aircraft. It's like I can only look out of the window, rather than looking at the dials. I have to move my head down to see the dials. Is there a way to postion your view in the aircraft. Almost like lowering my seat. I have no problems with A2A aircraft, but PMDG, Alabeo have the view set too high. Any ideas?

Hello, I'd like to create a copilot viewpoint in the VC of the FSL A320. How can I do that without having to use EZdok in P3Dv3. I'm using a VR setup (oculus CV1). The idea is having a flight saved with the copilot VC view as default. Best Karim
