With P3D V4 in 64 bit just around the corner, will OOM's and VAS problems be a thing of the past now? As I understand it, one of the main reasons for oom's are the fact that 32bit programs (like P3D V3) can only use 4GB of Physical RAM, but with 64bit it can use all the Ram we have in our PC's (16GB at the moment) What about the Vram on our Graphic cards (GTX970 with 4GB), will that still slow down the loading times or will the Physical Ram help? Will we be able to turn the all sliders to max, and yes I know fps will suffer a lot if we do it, but not be afraid of Vas problems?

Hi, all. I'm not a beginner and do the installation the prepar3d not for the first time and according to all the rules described on the P3D forum. But, today i installed a new version the Windows10 (v.1703, build 15063.296) on clear PC. Now, when i install the simulator, an error occurs. I press "skip" (four step), the prepar3d finishes the installation successfully. The prepar3d runs successfully, but when i try to install the SimConnect - second error. SimConnect is not installed. Please, help me install the simulator and the simconnet on new version Win10. System is clean.

Hi all, As probably all of you I'm very excited for the new Prepar3D v4 announcement! :D A new era in flight simulation history is here. Probably I'm too fast thinking about this, considering I'll buy v4 on May 30 but I'll really start using it when my add-ons become available. I am currently on 16GB Ram, however my RAM selection was a quite pricey one.16GB G-Skill 3600Mhz C15. Its a very good memory, however I started thinking if I should plan an upgade to add 16GB more. Considering its around 250$ upgrade, I'd rather skip it. Do you think Prepar3D v4 can deplete 16GB quite easily? Reading Fly Tampa's facebook page they observe a 10-15 fps increase which i…

Now that we've suffered through the beta release of XP11, and the bare bones, test run, or whatever you want to call it release of DTG's 64bit sim, maybe it's time to toss us P3D lovers a bone and do the same thing? Of course, just make sure that it all of our v3 addons will be able to be migrated beforehand:-) I'm really ready for v4, mainly because I think scenery developers are holding off on new releases until after that magic day arrives, and I'm starving for some new airports. One of the only things that I like about XP11 is there is a ton of addon airports available, and I'm really hoping to see our options grow in P3D land as well. If only LM could giv…

I have been using FSX and FSX-SE for many years but I feel I would like to move over to Prepar3D platform. I have looked at Prepar3D site and I see many different licenses. It seems to me that for the home user it would be either Professional or Academic, but I am confused. What license would be more in keeping with the FSX-SE platform? Look forward to some advice. Thank you...

Go and check out on their forums, the just released screen captures for Innsbruck...for AF2 Orbx team getting 130 FPS, no stutters, dead smooth flight...and folks, you'd be hard pressed to NOT say they they are flying over real world terrain, real world buildings, imagery. This is simply the death knell of ESP-based flight sims. whether 32...or 64 bit. Bye-Bye, ESP...a dinosaur graphics engine, gasping on last-legs, 64 bit steroids...and hello AF2, the M.S. based flight sim killa.... Go check out the post...but first, place a towel under your chin..or you're gonna give yourself some pain, in the viewing... http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/134014…

So here is a link to some nice screenshots of KBOS in V4 from A-list developer, FlyTampa: Dynamic lighting Link to full images: https://www.facebook.com/pg/FlyTampa-882745525087426/posts/ I'll be very interested to see what Orbx, PMDG and the other major players can do with the new iteration of the P3D engine.

I just built a new system - 7700K and have been flying for about a week now with it. I use ORBX with the A2A C182 and settings/sliders about 3/4 to max. Not much higher than I was running with my 2500K. However, when I load the sim with the C182 and AS2016 running, I start with about 1.2-3gb's remaining. With my old system I would be about 2.3ish when I loaded into the sim. I don't have anymore scenery than before or any other addons that could be hitting the VAS this much. I'm using my old 960gtx until I can afford a 1070, so same GPU but I did update to the latest nvidia drivers when I rebuilt (I read they were okay). Are my higher settings and the latest drivers …

Hello all - hoping someone can give me a few clues. I reinstalled the latest version of P3D this morning, carefully taking the time to remove any remnants of the old version and all addons. I decided to take my time, installing P3D (OK), FSUPIPC (OK - even downloaded the latest version of this too!). Then I installed one basic payware plane (Alabeo PA44) to set up my controls in FSUIPC (OK). Then the fun began. I installed chaseplane and could not find my presets (it gave me a simconnect error on first launch). The error went away but still no presets. Next, to check connectivity, I installed Active Sky 2016 and lo behold - it keeps "waiting for simulator". …

Firgive me if discussed elsewhere. I use both FSX-SE and P3D. I have a purchased licenses for Pete Dowson's most recent versions of both FSUIPC and WideFS. When I installed FSUIPC on my simulator (server) PC, I only entered the FSUIPC key and not the WideFS key also. I verified this in my FSUIPC log file where it states that only FSUIPC is registered, not WideFS. I want to run Wide FS on my client PCs. How can I add the WideFS registration key to my already-installed FSUIPC program? Do i need to uninstall it and then reinstall it from scratch? If so, how do I do this? Or do I just rerun the installation of the same version all over again? Or is there some other method? Ju…
