Hello, What do you use to separate AI traffic from your aircraft? Especially on landing. I remember there is an option in FSUIPC "traffic zapper" or something but I tried and didn't work. Thank you, Hoang Le

Posted a few days ago about this, but the stuttering got worse in P3DV4, and I did not change any settings. Tried disabling Dynamic lighting, did not do anything Hyperthreading is already on FXAA I tried on and off, didnt change anything Tried triple buffering on and off, didnt change anything tried Vsync on and off, didnt change a thing So obviously it is not that Getting 20-30fps, notice it most at FSDT JFK, but still happens in the air a bit as well..not as much as when on the ground. Any help?

The author of CIVA INS - Marco Ravanello - has started work on a 64-bit version of his program. As well as Concorde many other airliners use this utility and in order to test his code he ideally needs a freeware 64-bit compatible aircraft. I appreciate these are likely to be thin on the ground but there may be some 32-bit commercial aircraft that use it and the developers are looking at making them 64-bit compatible. Does anyone know of any suitable products that aren't too expensive and are being considered for 64-bit? Thanks.

Has anyone tried these two 'more mature' Carenado aircraft in P3Dv4 yet? (posted a similar question in the Carenado forum but it's pretty quiet there) I didn't do a direct install into P3D, rather extracted to a temp directory then using Lorby's Add on Organizer to create the add-on.xml. I can post these if needed. With the 206 the gauges are missing and with the 208B the flight deck panel is invisible, yet the gauges are there. Thanks Kevin

Hello everyone! I know there are a few threads about stutters, however, mine seem a bit different. When I am on the ground it is silky smooth. As soon as I get into the air it stutters. I lock my frames at 33 which it very stable, however, I get a lot of stutters. I am running ChasePlane with the PMDG 777. VSYNC & Triple Buffer is turned on. Could PTA cause any of this? Closing AS16 did not change anything. When I got to the spotview outside I get no stutters. Thank you in advance for your help! PS: I have Hotfix 1 installed. Don't remember it being that bad before. On an interview with PCflight.net Adam Breed from Lockheed Martin explained some of the future things coming for P3D. There seems to be a prototype of a rain effects in the Mooney Bravo that will be released in the future as well as the capability for developers to add it to their platforms. Just wondering is this possible? I bought P3D v4 but I haven't uninstalled v3 yet, as I'm still waiting on some addons to be updated. I also bought EZDOK v2 as v1 (which I was using on P3Dv3) won't run on P3Dv4. I ran the installer, assuming i could install it on v4. However, all it did was overwrite the EZDOK v1 instance which is installed on P3Dv3 So is there any way I can have v2 running on both instances of P3D? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Water water water.... when O when are we going to get realistic water COLORS (COLOURS)... Good Afternoon All - UK Time, I have ALL the Horizon photoscenery in P3d v3 and I also have the scenery config with all entries starting at 135[ish]. What is the [VERY] easiest way to utilise this scenery in P3D v4? I have been reading a lot about scenery.cfg et al, but I'm afraid it has not gelled with me. I prefer photoscenery for my UK VFR flying and would greatly appreciate the knowledge to achieve this. At 73 and a short term memory issue, it really must be simple to implement. Hello! Just took the plunge to the 64 bit P3D. I noticed there was a folder named "Weapons" in the simulator. How does one arm their aircraft with those weapons if you are using the F22 F35 or F16? Thanks in advance...

Hello, just bought an academic version of Prepar3dv4. When i select to fly with certain airplanes of Carenado like Katana DA40 the interior of the aircraft (panel and passenger views) is not showing properly. In their site does not mention something about incompatibility. Am i missing something?

Hi everyone i already made a Post about my problem, and it ended in a refund. after a while i said to myself that i would like to try it one more time, and so i buyed P3d v4 again. My Problem: When i start P3D the splash screen comes up and i see the loading bar (sometimes) loading scenery and other stuff. P3D is also visible in the Task Manager at that moment. After about 10 Seconds the screen dissapears and P3D also dissapears from the Task manager without any warning. i tried - Multiple reinstalls (even new downloads and hash verfication of the entire P3D file). - Repairs with the P3d Setup programm - unplugging all usb devices - checking that i ha…

If you use a standard scenario (mine is enroute.flt) you may find that you can no longer load your default flight at some point. This is probably due to wx, air traffic or other settings that cause the flt file to load incorrectly. This issue goes far back in the FS dynasty. I usually delete the enroute.* files from my user folder and start at a fresh location. Not sure if there is an actual fix for this in the works. Cheers bs

In particular, I'm interested in whether there are means through P3D or associated tools for creating or examining the visual database. For example, if I wanted to extract the exact location (ie. lat/lng/hgt) of a particular visual feature (like a tower or runway) from P3D, can I do that either by exporting the scene data somehow, or by using a scenery tool to do that? Similarly, I'd be interested in the terrain elevation data that is used. Is it exportable? I would also be interested in people's experience as to the geographic accuracy of the P3D visual scenery. Hello, i've made progressive talks with scenery developers albeit smaller ones - nevertheless it's a start. The general notion was about adding sloped runways to airport sceneries. Just over half had the technology to implement this feature into their airport projects and of that half some even had the technology to allow a/i traffic to still use the runway. Most of the developers were of the opinion that atleast 75% of their customers used online networks such as IVAO,Pilot edge and VATSIM which would result in the likeliness of no a/i traffic being used. My P3D v4 has been very stable so far- But out of the three or four crashes I have had it seems to occur as I'm crossing the international date line...Has anyone else experienced this? It does generate a ntdll.dll fault in the .exe. Any thoughts? Jon Las Vegas, NV

A couple of questions for everyone... I hate flying into default airports. KORD is an airport that I would like to fly into an out of. Is the FSDT version V4 ready? If so, is it worth it? I can't tell if the runways are the old config or not. If so, is there a way to get the new/current configuration? I fly online a lot and most of the sids and stars in my sim would be for the current configuration. Is there anything in the pipeline for a current KORD? Thanks!

A localized area, NE of Sqamish. This is Orbx Pacific Northwest Region. I found a specific area that has, for some reason, textures that are out of focus compared to their neighbours. Can someone else confirm if this is not unique to my setup please. Use the map for location.

I have been using the xml method of adding scenery using Lorby Si tool . Have hit a problem installed last night orbx eu freeware airports last night and it crashed after the scenario window .Uninstalled and all worked reported on forum and no one has had an issue . Today I installed naples from aerosoft same issue . After hours of head scratching I disabled all xml add ons . Sim loaded fine. I found if I disabled any two xml add ons all was good in the world again. Added the disabled xml scenery's manually the old way and all scenery's . Almost as if there is a cap on how many .xml addons you can have . Anybody else had this before . Will post on LM forum as well

I have P3D V4 - FSUIPC v 5.103 - Linda v 3_0_1 for P3Dv4 - VRinsight - MCP1 combo My MCP1 combo + Linda works perfect with Beech Baron 58 , Cessna 172SP and Mooney Bravo I just installed the brand new PMDG 737NGX for V4 ; with that aircraft I cannot use the facilities from my MCP1 Linda recognize the aircraft but I cannot configure the buttons. Any suggestion is welcome

I don't remember seeing anything about this when Hotfix 1 came out, and I didn't notice it until now because I just got around to installing it (for the NGX), but after the HF, you can now make a low or high altitude flight plan in the default flight planner. When I first opened it, I was looking for a button to generate the flight plan like in previous versions, and was disappointed when I didn't see it, but when you click on IFR and then low or altitude flight plan, it automatically generates the plan. Sweet. Also, I see that you can now also sort your aircraft by favorites, which was missing originally. There's a button for this one! ;-) Just FYI... …
