I've patiently been waiting for Vector to be updated for P3DV4. Is there any chance it's on the horizon? Do we have some sort of a timeline?

As much as I am enjoying V4 - it is truly an amazing experience - i have some issues with flashing building textures at airports, and the dreaded hard edge mist line on mountains as well as hard line shading on my aircraft externally. The transition from the lit side of the fuselage to the shaded side has a definite hard edge to it. I'm sure this is just a simple graphics setting adjustment, but not sure what it is. I don't use Nvidia inspector - I'm only using in sim settings. I haven't adjusted any settings in Nvidia CP either. Hi all, I have a very weird situation. I am running p3d v4 with the hotfix. I just installed the latest pmdg 777 (sp1). My specs are : 16gb ram, 980ti, 4790k. I have 2 monitors with p3d running on one and my browser in the other. My issue is that whenever I am running p3d and the window is not active (e.g. if I click on the browser window in the second monitor), my fps in p3d increases significantly and it smooths out (no stuttering). As soon as I click back in the p3d window, the fps drops and stuttering begins. For e.g. right now as I am typing this message, my p3d fps is a solid 60fps (F11 view). So just bought the PMDG 747.. expensive but i've read plenty and i'm excited to now grab it... so, go it.. now i want some liveries, but.. nothing on their site? Plenty for XP-DC 6A, DC-6B, FSX-BAe JS4100, but nothing else? Do a search online and i'm just finding lists but no links...! Help!!! What gives?!! ...... Ok ok ok ok ok... just delved deeper and found what i'm looking for... a glass of wine or two and then thrown off by their site saying 737 and 777 customers download in the operations centre made me think i had to go elsewhere, when i actually get the same privileges! ...

So of course after weeks of adding scenery, planes and tools....something finally went wrong and Prepar3d V4 won't run. Tried deleting Prepar3d.cfg and rebuilding..no joy. LM advice was to erase all add ons and reinstall (days of configuring down the drain). So I thought I would take this opportunity to wipe everything clean and uninstall. Buy a brand new NVMe SSD drive for just Prepar3d and DCS (storage space was starting to get tight as is). Whats the best way to uninstall everything so no remnants of the program get left behind on my "C" drive? Dont some folders get left even after uninstall? Second, when I reinstall...whats the best way to …

Hi guys, hoping for some guidance here. All of a sudden today I can't get Prepar3d v4 to fire up. The startup screen shows up...can select flight and settings etc. then on launch it goes through loading up but when it gets to 100% it's like Prepar3d isn't there and sometimes the startup screen remains. Chase plane and ASN throw errors which they never have. I deleted my Prepar3d.cfg in my roaming folder to allow the program to create a new one but no luck. Nothing new was installed. Any thoughts on where to begin? Thanks Jason

Flew first flight last night in P3DV4...couple of minor(ish) issues: 1 - stuttering. Getting 25-30fps, but it stutters...with any plane, anywhere. Kind of annoying. 2 - sudden loss in FPS, had 25-30fps whole flight including takeoff from FSDT JFK w/ Aerosoft NYC then on landing at KBOS with no addon scenery, dropped to 5-8fps...no idea why. 3 - probably something I am doing wrong here with PMDG 744, But Engine #1 started, then remained at idle for whole flight no matter what I did, and I got "ENG 1 FAIL" warning... 4 - PMDG 744 wants to veer left. Had no cross wind, rudder perfectly in middle but it just wanted to go left...from taxiing on the ground to flying…

I currently own AS16 for FSX. I am looking at getting a version compatible with P3Dv4. Can I buy the P3D upgrade and use my FSX AS16 licence key for the ASP4 beta? Struggling to find information of this anywhere and thought someone here would have been in this predicament. Oliver Cooksey

I loaded up into the tower view and notice that the actual screen of the computer actually works and shows aircraft information along with other clickable stuff. Do ppl who ATC on VATSIM/IVAO and so forth use this mode in FSX/P3D to handle traffic or is their some special software involved?

How do I make it so the AI traffic I see either online or offline aren't generic "Acme" planes? Do I need a program like an AI program to get realistic liveries or is there something free and easy to use (with installers) that I can use? Thanks!

Just a quick heads up for owners of the (very cool) Just Flight BAC 1-11 300/400/500. There is an updated P3D V4 installer now available on the JF site. Actually, it could already be 'forced' into P3D V4 in its older form and most stuff worked okay, but it's nice to know it is legitimately a V4 aeroplane now (well, four technically if you include all the variants), and a very good simulation of one too for those of you who've not checked it out. Have been watching a very interesting National Geographic program tonight about tornados and came to think of P3D and if these kind of powerful weather phenomena exists in P3D...anyone experienced one? If they do exist in P3D it would be very interesting to find out how your aircraft would react to one. I guess IRL the aircraft would be tossed around like crazy, I wonder if same thing would happen in P3D...

With a multi-monitor setup one is fully dependent on the ability to move instrumental windows to other monitors. In FSX this is a straight away action with no particular loss in FPS. But with P3DV4 one can't just move instrumental windows straight away - before allowing this one should UNDOCK the instrumental window. The problem with UNDOCKED windows in this case are that they steal away around 15-20% FPS from the overall scenario! Would there perhaps be away to overcome this annoying issue by editing some *.cfg and make instrumental windows work as they do in FSX? Cheers

Anyone seen this error before? I just added an afcad from FSX to P3D, which I placed in the addon scenery folder (which I had to create of course) and added it manually. I got this error as soon as I put it in.

Dear simmers As i make a comeback into simming with a release of V4, I am interested to know, how to know if scenery from P3D v3 is compatible with v4. There are bunch of freeware on different websites for little airports or airports in far regions that I like to fly to. Thanks
