Hi everyone, I just wanted to see if anyone else is having very high CPU usage when running P3D V4. My CPU usage when in cruise is at 98% and i've noticed i'm starting to get sound stutters. I'm assuming this is due to the high usage of the CPU. I don't know if there are any tweaks that i need to apply or any settings i need to adjust to lower that usage. I have tried to play with the settings a little bit but nothing seems to of worked thus far.

Now with the release of Orbx Vector and Active Sky for V4, all I will need is the Flight1 GTN750, and I will be a totally 100% happy camper in V4 land. Has anyone heard and discussion on this?

Seems Sibwings is dead its a shame! Anyway I was wondering if anyone has shoehorned the Antonov An-2 in there? I shoehorned the Aerosoft Discus X in with no issues except I cannot control the vario volume. I'll give this one a go too but I rather check to see if its been done issue free first.

Has anyone tried using Pro-atc/x with prepar3d v4? I got its latest version from the site and then updated the airac as well. COnfigured it and got it working, but the flight plans the I create that match exactly the ones that I put into the PMDG FMS and the Sim are not followed in the atc. It vectors me to the wrong headings wrong call sign and altitudes you name it. I guess the atc software is very buggy?

Hello everyone, I wanted to upgrade a few hardwares on my pc, i started with the cpu, from i5 16gb ddr3 to i7 7700k and 16gb ddr4 so i am currently runing on i7 7700k + gt 740 4gb +16gb ddr4 ram on win 10. altough no metter what i try in my settings, i can get to have a smooth flight. no more than 10 fps. is there Something im missing ? Hi all, Due to summer time I did not spend a lot of time in v4 so far, mainly installing sceneries and planes getting their v4 update. But what I also realized: it seems that the AFCADS for v3 should not be used in v4, correct? Then: how could I convert an AFCAD I modified for v3 into a v4-compatible variant? The reason I ask: for some of the Justsim sceneries, I modified their basic afcad myself to have at least semi-realistic gate assignments (e.g. LEBL and LFMN). Trawling through my FSX airports to see what I can move to P3D4 and have got to my UK2000 stuff. Now on my account at UK2000 I have an updated installer for EGLL that seems to support P3D4. However will this work if I you are moving from FSX to P3D4 ie I only have EGLL (v2) for FSX installed? It would seem not. Is there any other way of getting the UK2000 EGLL airport installed in P3d4? Using Windows 10 64 bit with v4. Everything is running fine til I try to install Orbx NA OLC. I can install global, trees and lights no problem but if I restart my pic that's when the errors start. It's always Net FrameWork Error followed by G2D.dll Error in event viewer. I am running NetFrame work 4.7 . Could that be the issue? Does it need to be 4.6.2?

I am having an issue with Chaseplane. Yesterday, it was working fine. Today it wouldn't load either on startup, or manually. Nothing would show up or if it would, the CP splash screen would open and then an error message would pop up and say "time out". I decided to do an uninstall/reinstall and now I can't download it. Hi everyone. I have some problems with SimConnect or FSUIPC. I did a flight from EHAM to my brand new scenery Flightbeam KMSP. At 50% of my flight it freeze every few seconds. After a few 10 minutes later this issue disappeared. A few hours later this issue started again. Later I saw that my memory was at 100%, and a few seconds later my sim rant into OOM. Few minutes later the sim closed itself and my RAM was at normal again. After that I start P3D again, it was loading and the same happens again. But this time my computer froze and I did a hard shutdown. Now I flying back from KMSP to EHAM. And around 50% of my flight, I have again issues. I chose to play…

Hey guys, I really hate to bring up another affinity mask topic but I need some advice. I have a 7700k at 4.9 ghz with hyper threading enabled. I run as4, ASCA, UTlive, vpilot, little navmap, and explorer along with p3d V4 at the same time. I run the sim locked internally to 35 FPS and have my monitor set to 30hz. I use process lasso and have the sim assigned by itself to cores 2-7. Everything else is assigned to cores 0-1. What would be the most appropriate affinity mask setting to use with my setup? Is an affinity mask even required? Thanks for the help!

I suspect I've run afoul of the Unicode feature in P3D v4. When I make setting changes to Graphics/Options-Display and Save I don't get the same settings when I select different saved settings and return to the last saved settings of the Texture Filtering and Texture Resolution are "demoted". For example I save Texture Filtering to 16x and Texture resolution to 2048x2049 my profile is Custom instead of the name I just saved. When I choose the Profile I just saved Texture Filtering changes to 8x and Texture Resolution changes to 1048x1048. I'm suspecting a Reload of P3d v4. If anyone has encountered this and has a less nuclear fix please let me know. …

Just curious, I've recently networked 2 computers. Was just curious how much there would be to gain by moving active sky, chase plane and possibly an ATC program to the second computer and using FSUIPC/FSwide to connect? also gotta figure out why FSwide won't install using my serial number for FSUIPC but I guess that's another issue. I can't seem to get Prepar3d4 installed correctly. I have tried deleting it, yet every time I try to reinstall it says it is already installed. I wan't to install it on my E: drive and I can't. I guess it is time to just give up. Tom

I'm running MT6 at 80% ai at busy airports. The airport traffic seems really low compared to V3. With V3 I would see 3 or 4 planes lined up at a runway for TO, Anyone one else notice this ?

Since p3d v4 is now 64bit.. i've come to realize that tileproxy just wont work.. there is no way to run a legacy 32bit mode to connect to the tileproxy service.. unless tileproxy is revived and an updated version comes along. What is everyone using as an alternative? FSearth tiles or something similar.. is there anything that allows for an overlay like with Ortho with XP? I'm thinking of testing of fsearth tiles for now anyway. Thanks in advance

I know this is the P3D forum but I figure there are more users running FSCommander on a client system. I know Rob A does and I hope he test this out. Has anyone noticed with Rev 7 on up that FSC takes over the active window. I normal have FSC, SmartCARS, VPilot and VatSpy and Teamspeak running on my client. FSC is dedicated to its own monitor. What I have noticed is FSC takes over as the active Window when GPS is enabled. I could be typing in VPilot or any other program, or simply watch a twitch stream and FSC takes over as the active window. If I disable GPS "Connect to FlightSim" it no longer takes over as the active window and what ever I have selected remains active. …

Hi. Hmm Computer is a mystery thing. I am having a recent problem. My brakes is not working on My Saitek Rudder pedals. They do show up in the calibration menu but no action in the sim.
