Hi, I know this is a strange question, but I have never really focused on Europe for FS. Most of my flying is in the US/Canada/Caribbean/Mexico. I'm looking for a British home base for flights to/from holiday destinations. I'm probably looking at Gatwick, Birmingham or Manchester. Other suggestions welcome. Main thing I'm looking for is a well done and well performing product in v4.2. I know there are a lot of competing products out there - mega airports, extreme airports, mega extreme airport X... It is a bit difficult to figure out which one to pick. And yes, I know this is a little like asking what the best US airport is, but I'm mainly interested in get…

4.3 is just around the corner and I'm currently on 4.1. Will it be possible to update directly to 4.3 or do I have to update to 4.2 first?

I am trying to move over some of my old airports from P3D v3 over to P3D v4. I made a directory just for my P3D addons called E:\P3D Addons. I have looked at many addon.xml files to get an idea of how they're setup. But they seem inconsistent. Some have the texture category and some don't, some have effects category and others dont. So which one is correct? For example, My airport has 2 main folders: Scenery And Textures, and they are located in E:\P3D Addons\KIAH\ and I have copied over the files from my P3D v3 Effects folder to P3D v4's. Do I also need to add the category Effects into my addon.xml file as well?

I've been trying to figure out how to get this to work. I have FSUIPC set to autosave and only keep 10. But, my panel state folder is holding every single autosave, even though I added in the following line to the FSUIPC.ini file AlsoManage1=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.fmc AlsoManage2=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.sav AlsoManage3=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.0.rte Is there something else I can do so the panel state folder only holds 10 states as well instead of all of them? Did I mess up the entry to the .ini file?

I'm not sure if this is a P3D related problem or what, but it was working fine before the update. whenever i open the QW787 Control Panel and try to connect external power, it connects and then disconnects right away, it won't stay connected. I'm not sure what is wrong. I am using the cold panel state and using the latest QW787 updates. Am I missing something here?

Hi, is it normal that I get a drop in fps of 50% with autogen on? (P3d v4) for example, sitting at gate on justsims eddl, fsl a320x, orbx global, lc_europe, orbx hd trees, i get 15-20 fps wirh autogen set to sparse and 40-50 fps with all autogen deactivated. I know autogen affects performance, but THIS much and when sitting on an airport???? it‘s similar when I‘m airborne, without autogen everything is supersmooth, but even the lowest autogen settings will kill my frames. is there a way to reduce autogen resolution or can I somehow improve it? I only want to see some trees on final, otherwise the terrain looks flat and unrealistic... bg …

I have been on about a 3 week hiatus. During that time I have made no changes to my setup. My last flight I loaded, I noticed that I didn't have GSX as an option in my menu bar. It was completely gone. I also noticed that when flying from KLAS to KSLC, all of the terminal buildings were missing at KLAS (not KSLC) but the airport scenery in general remained the same. For the record, I am using P3DV4.2 and the scenery at KLAS was FSdreamteam. Keep in mind, I made no changes and the last flight prior to that things were working well. Any ideas?

Just like the title says. Ground scenery turns into rainbow colors. Latest Base, OpenLC, and Vector versions. Thanks for all the help!

Hello all, I have a GTX 650Ti. I have set an fps limit of 30 and the GPU only utilises about 35-40% of the memory. I was flying the PMDG 777 from Heathrow to Shanghai when about 5 hours into the sim, the sun starts to set. When it comes to the sun setting or rising in the sim, the graphics card just crashes with the "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG". I noticed that I only get this message when the GPU utilises 100% of the memory for a long period of time but during sunset, the GPU isn't using 100% of the memory. I hope this isn't too vague but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't have settings put on max, they're usually set around the medium/low setting.

Hello, Looking for some assistance with an issue I just cant seem to quite figure out. In the first two screenshots below, I've circled/pointed to the areas of issue and essentially certain textures and areas such as runways are not very smooth on the edging and are jagged/staired. The only somewhat fix I have found is turning on FXAA within P3D but then virtual cockpit issues with blurring occur. I've tried everything I can think of from specific P3D/Nvidia Control Panel/Nvidia Inspector tweaks but nothing seems to really work well. Can anyone kindly shed light on why, a 12.3 Gb downloaded v4.2 cannot install on an 8GB Sandybridge i5-2500k system with a 0x80070017 error being flagged up repeatedly? This is so frustrating trying to install v 4.2 whereas v 4 installed perfectly on a Windows 10 PC. Being asked for NET Framework 4.6.2 version but even that downloaded apparently will not install on a Windows 7 64-bit OS. Help appreciated.

It appears that we are in for a significant filling-in of the gaps to our P3Dv4 experiences with announced developments. We are to get: much broader support with the 'SODE everywhere' functions from GSX 2 animated passengers from GSX 2 animated ground crew operations from GSX 2 and/or FS2Crew UGCX ACARS support from Global Flight Operations CPDLC support from Global Flight Operations. How the avoidance of clashes between GSX 2 and UGCX will happen, we are at present still in the dark. But the future certainly looks bright.😃

Hi all, I am fairly new to Prep3D4 and I have screwed up with respect to scenario loads and saves. After finishing a flight I save the scenario in a folder called prep3Dv4 Files. And then create shortcut on the desk top to this file. My intention was to click on the shortcut and resume where I left off. However, whenever I try this Prep3D says it can't find the flight and loads the default flight where I can pick of the flight I want. So I would like to know how to save a scenario and then automatically reload the saved scenery when I next wish to start Prep3Dv4. Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong and how to correct my error? Hi All I've watched countless "settings" type videos and posts to try to optimize P3D V4, however no matter what I try, can't seem to get rid of micro-stutters I've even tried to put all sliders to the left and increase them one by one to find the underlying issue, but it's still there. The FPS counter can't seem to hold steady as it moves from 10 to 40 and back all the time. I have a G-SYNC monitor and have tried both V-SYNC on/off and locking the FPS to 30 but it has no effect. What I also find surprising is that moving all the sliders to the right doesn't have a massive impact on the max FPS I can get. My specs are below Intel i7 - 6700K @…

At many add-on airports I see cargo ai a/c where pax ai a/c should be and vice versa. Is there anything what we or developers could do against this? If I recall correctly, aircraft.cfg defines whether it is ia cargo or pax machine, and the airport layout (airport file) defines where it should park. Sounds easy enough, but why does it not work correctly?

I am using P3Dv3. After my last Windows 10 update the sim comes up but the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive until I open and close the task manager. I discovered it because I could only close the simulator via the task manager. Then I noticed as I brought it up the task bar came up. Everything works normally after that. So I'm not dead in the water, but I would like to eliminate the task manager step to turn on the sim. Has this happened to anyone else. They said computers would make things easier and do away with paper. Instead they make us use twice as much paper as before and drive us nuts. Noel

Hello, For as long as I can remember pressing the numpad del key would reset the view for lack of a better term. I used it a lot in fixed spot view to re-centre the view directly behind the aircraft looking straight forward. I updated to p3d4.2 tonight and pressing the DEL key does not do anything. I went looking in the control settings thinking I would just reset the key but I couldn't figure out what function that would be...help?

Hi all, so had my P3Dv4 up and running for about 2 weeks, done various flights in and out of the U.K. and I’m stubbling across this problem: all my uk2000 sceneries on my return legs have this pink colour on the airport buildings aswell as the aircraft I Only use my FSLabs a320 (that is the only addon AC I have) and only during day time hours (doesn’t happen at night). I have pictures but for some reason can’t attach 😞 Im running PTA with Matt Davies 1.3 setup the Steps I’ve aready taken is deleting the shaders folder and re-installing original P3D config then reloading Matt Davies setup on P3D. So I have MyTraffic6 and usually move the slider up and down depending on what is going on while on Vatsim (busy airport = 0, alone in the middle of nowhere add some traffic). All of a sudden I cannot get the traffic level to go to zero, even with the P3D slider at zero I see AI traffic on the ground at all airports. Any ideas of what is going on? by the way I did check the CFG and it also shows zero.

Hi guys, So I'm wondering if someone can help me with this as it's rather frustrating with my PC which is more than capable of running P3D on medium to high settings. The FPS inside the cockpit of the PMDG 777 is around 35-40 FPS which is great, however when it comes to panning around with the camera it seems very "jerky" and stuttery which puts me off completely. It doesn't happen all the time, but mainly whilst on the ground. The only tweak for my P3D cfg that has helped so far is Fiber Frame Time Fraction 0.01. I have tried locking the FPS at 30 which makes the issue a thousand times worse, and only locking at 60 or unlimited makes it slightly better. I've tried e…
