First I already opened 2 support tickets since the first one was answered and didn't address my issue. The first one reset my registration therefore that is taken out of the way. The plane started crashing the sim out of the blue, I thought it was the sim until I loaded other aircrafts and everything was fine. I didn't unregistered or reseted anything because I didn't uninstalled it at first. It just stop working. After realizing it was the plane I open the Load Manager and it was blank like a NEW installation BUT there was a different serial number locked in the middle space. It cannot be deleted or erased. I could not find the uninstall (didn't know this is pl…

I know ORBX does, but can someone tell me specifically which add-ons modify this file? I believe there's something wrong with mine.

I am still deciding whether or not I should reinstall a clean copy of P3D. I am currently on v4.1 and just ran into some issues that I can't resolve. I am considering reinstalling from scratch as a last resort but I have some questions and concerns that I hope some of you here could help me with. I currently have a lot of third party scenery, planes (PMDG, Carenado, QW787), AI, weather (Active Sky+ASCA), textures packages (Rex Skyforce 3d,, ENVTEX), FS2Crew, ORBX Global, Vector, OpenLC, Regions, Airports, etc. Will all of these have to be reinstalled again? I hope not. Isn't that one of the reasons why Lockheed Martin introduced the new method of installing add-ons …

I just downloaded the latest version of the Learjet and wish to install it in P3D4, or rather my own bespoke addon folder (so that I can readily update P3D itself when needed). However, the installer says some files are missing, implying it wants to be installed into the default P3D folder. Does anyone know a way around this please?

Hello all, anyone find a solution to this re-occurring, though intermittent, problem with the GTN? Once the plane is loaded into P3D and the avionics turned on, the GTN proceeds to behave like a jerk - unresponsive with that idiotic "gong" sound every time you press an option. When it does this, changing planes and/or reloading P3D simply doesn't fix it. Only a reboot seems to work. Anyone come across this nuisance and is there a way to fix it in-sim? I tried googling this type of behavior and could not find anything. HELP!

I thought I saw that FSDT was going to highlight ORD at that Vegas event last week. From anyone there, did you have a chance to see it? Anyone want to share how it looked, performed, any release hints, etc.? Thanks

hey guys, I just found these awesome repaints for the world tails from British airways but can't find the flight plans anywhere. I have read that people hated these liveries and they were discontinued. But then I saw the repaints and thought that I would like to have those in P3D V4.2. I don't care about realism and just want to see all these different colors and patterns on my BA fleet. I have looked everywhere that I could think of but no luck. Does anyone have any idea how I can have these repaints flying in P3D? Thanks

Why is that? I wish I had known this before I spent over $100 on both units. Sigh. Should've gotten the realityxp ones instead. Very disappointed.

I've been out of the flightsim loop for awhile now and have recently started getting back, so much has changed. I was previously using Active Sky+ASCA for my weather engine and cloud textures. I see that Rex Skyforce has been out. Will it work alongside with Active Sky+Asca or is it a complete replacement? I'm looking for beautiful cloud textures, but if Rex Skyforce replaces and does everything better than what Active Sky+ASCA currently does, I may switch over. I'm not sure if Rex Skyforce is a weather engine or a cloud texture package or both. Can someone clear this up for me.

I will do a reinstall of P3D v4 and all the addons in the coming days, and I was wondering if there is a way to change the default path for Prepar3D v4 Files and Add-ons. Now they are located in the documents folder on my computer, but unfortunately I'm running of out space on that disk since a lot of addons also installs into the Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder. So if there is way to change the location of those two folders so that I could have it on another drive, that would be great.

Hi all, I am contemplating to buy a license for Ultimate Traffic Live, but before I do. I do have some questions to ask. And yes, I have been searching all over the forums regarding this application. 1) Am I correct in my assumption that Ultimate Traffic Live engine etc all its calculation is done outside the sim and hence have good frame rates in the sim as the traffic injected? (Kinda like PSXecon) 2) I read somewhere the developer has slowed the updates down in the app? or is it in Active Development. I know this was a huge issue with UT2, and that was the reason I never purchased the license. Or should I go for another one being developed by Just…

All these 3rd party texture programs are really putting a spin on my head right now. I have Rex Texture Direct with Soft Clouds, ENVTEX, ASCA and now Rex Skyforce. I know when you installed these programs they initially will backup your textures, but having so many, I'm not even sure the textures that I have backedup are even the original ones that came with my initial P3D install. Just to be sure, does anyone know how I can get back the original sky/cloud/water/light textures without having to reinstall P3D from scratch? Has anyone gotten UTL to work with SODE Jetways? For some reason I cannot get any of the gates at any airport to dock with my AI traffic. I have the latest SODE version installed. Whenever I ran WOAI with FSX:SE the jetways worked as advertised so I was thinking maybe UTL doesn’t work with SODE yet?....

Hey everyone, I have been using P3D v4 and I haven been able to find a solution this problem ever since it's release. I have orbx installed. (LOD full, texture quality highest,etc.) Why do you thing these remote areas are blurry? Any solution appreciated.

Is there a simple launcher that allows switching between optimized p3d.cfg, scenery.cfg and cameras.cfg files (and any other config files) for VR vs. full screen?

Not sure why this happens, but recently I noticed that my planes have been rolling forward everytime I start P3D. I am using a logitech extreme 3D controller, and in order to stop this I have to constantly push the lever thats binded to the throttles forward and quickly back all the way to put the engine throttle back to idle, and also have to turn on the parking breaks. But as soon as I remove the parking brakes, the plane will start slowly rolling forward again. This is noticeable in the QW787 and A2A 182. I haven't tried testing it on other planes yet. Any ideas?

I am new to P3D and only switched from FSX earlier this year. I use the paid version of SimStarter to manage airports that load and I have a mix of airports that are loaded external to P3D (FSDT, Flightbeam, etc.) and some that are tied to the scenery config. My question concerns what steps with my scenery that I will need to take to update to V4.3. My understanding is that the sceneries that are tied to the external dll will automatically move with the update - but for those tied to the scenery config - is a reinstall required or can I take advantage of Simstarter to remap those airports? Thanks for any community support on this.

If this makes sense...say I am at ksdf (which is fsdreamteam) I want to change to kmem.. (fsdreamteam)...not that fsdreamteam has anything to do with it....the scenery will not change...the buildings disappear and maybe jet ways left but it won't change. I literally have to completely shut down p3dv4.2 or even reboot computer to get scenery or airport to change. Anyone else have issues like this? Thanks, BobM.

Specifically, I am looking for photoscenery of the southern section of Sweden. The only reason I want it is because I am keen to purchase FlyTampa Copenhagen Kastrup, and the thought of making a final approach to runway 22L over default terrain is not an appealing one. I am aware that RB Design Sweden is an option, but that also requires FreeMesh and UTX Ground Environment to be installed (and I assume that the latter is payware)

Hi Everyone! I've recently returned back home to my sim computer after about 2 months of living away. When I booted it up, I did my typical "update everything" flow and updated Windows 10, SODE (with C++ Update), FS2Crew 747 QOTSII, FSDreamTeam (Live Update), and Orbx Libraries. Basically everything I could think of that wasn't already updated since April 2018. I then bought the much anticipated QW787 and installed it. I went to start a flight the next day from IAH-ANC using the PMDG 737 and my frames seemed LOCKED at 15. My rig usually gets around 25-30 if not more, especially at a less difficult airport like FSDreamTeam IAH, or at the very least seems…

I really like the new Learjet in P3DV4. One thing I noticed, is that when I use the mouse scroll wheel to change the autopilot heading bug, for me, it scrolls in the wrong direction. I've searched the forums and didn't find any reference to this... Does anyone know, either with settings or programmatically, how to change the mouse scroll direction for the autopilot heading bug?

Has anyone made any progress or even narrowed down reasoning behind this behavior? I've lost MANY recent flights to CTS's only while flying my much-loved 777 and 747 products. For the past several weeks I have been unable to make a westbound flight from the UK or from Hawaii (PHNL) without the sim vanishing roughly 100-1500 miles into the flight. This IS reproducible (today I tried three times to fly PHNL-ZBAA in the 777 to no avail). If I make the exact same flight using the QW787 I have no issues. Same goes for departing EGLL; any attempt to fly to Sao Paulo, Dulles, or Mexico City crashes the sim using the 777 or 747. Again, no problem completing the flight…
