I finally bit the bullet and did the 4.2 update - the three parts, client, content and scenery. I understood that this shouldn't have affected most of the add ons - except scenery ones? I've updated the orbx scenery and that seems fine, but the pmdg aircraft have disappeared although all of the folders/files are there as I would expect. Do I actually have to uninstall and reinstall all of this? I'm feeling like I've done something wrong or I'm missing a step in the update? Can anyone assist?

How do I create a view with just HUD symbology on a black background? An old post talked about using an existing HUD gauge, but what does that entail? Surely there is an easy way to do this, I assume. Thanks for the help in advance!

Hello there For A WEEK now my p3d didn't want to start and stayed on the splashscreen while using 100% of my ram (8gigs) and not doing anything. Yesterday afternoon I found the answer: corrupted scenery.cfg . Now, as I have quite a lot of scenery there(+100) and it's a mess to get all of them there again, is there any tool that can fix my issue? If I have to insert in it all my ORBX, aerosoft and freeware that isn't set as ADDON, is there any way to make it less painful? Hey, Since a time loading a flight in P3D takes more than 10 minutes when FTXAA_ORBXLIBS is activated in the addon organizer. Loading goes quick, but keeps hanging at ~ 74 %. Is this a known problem, and maybe fixable? Kind regards

I am curious if anyone else has found a solution to the terrain.dll CTD other than reducing mesh, disabling addons, or deleting the prepar3d.cfg and reducing the mesh setting. My computer specs and addons are exactly the same as they are before I did a clean windows install and a clean P3d install with V4.2, but now about 20 minutes into a flight, doesn't matter the aircraft, I get the terrain.dll CTD. I have attempted to research this but haven't really found a set solution. I have heard that the mesh might be too much for my computer hardware, but honestly if mine won't run it, no ones will. I have 4 GTX 960s running in the computer. However, I still get stuttering and whatnot. I feel like I should not be having problems with performance as I would figure four should let me do about anything I want. Is there something specific that I am missing? Like maybe somehow only one of the graphics cards are being used? That probably isn't the case, but I don't know so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi When I want to load a scenario, P3dV4 dont show files that I saved in Prepar3D v4 Files directory it show only files from ..\Prepar3D v4\Scenarios. Someone had this issuse ? Thanks in advance Pierre

Hi. I'm very sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I'm looking for something that will be able to create some flight plans for me. A very good example is SimBrief, which I love and would pay for if needed!! However, I happen to have bought the JustFlight Carenado390, and I happen to HATE manually entering long-winded flight plans. Therefore, I wondered if there was something out there for this aircraft specifically, or does more than SimBrief. I also have LittleNav Map, but that's a little more tricky than SimBrief. Wondered if anyone has tinkered with ADE in P3DV4,I have used it in the past in FSX and would like to design an Airport or two and also add a few buildings here and there with ADE. I have searched reference info regarding its use in P3DV4, seems some have designed airports with this tool, information is kind of grey rather than black or white on this, before I have a go has anyone got any experience or input regarding ADE, cheers guys.

Hello everyone, I want ask if is possible to use 2 Saitek pro yoke on the same Pc with P3D V4 because i want to simulate the Captain and First Officer position, and other question, is possible to use the 2 throttle quadrant for mixed the control, left engine - right engine - spoilers and flaps (6 channel) ? After installing Rex Skyforce 3D, my clouds are grey and not white, is this normal? I have already deleted my shaders folder and let them rebuild, but they still are the same. Any ideas? Or is this normal?

Is there a download anywhere that allows you to remove the robotic voices from ground to cockpit to something that sounds more realistic?

Since reinstalling P3D to a new system I managed to lose a very useful freeware utility that checked the aircraft.cfg file for a radio section and installed if missing. Does anyone know the name and where I might find it? Thanks Adrian

Okay, I'm a greedy pig and I want it all ! I use Aerofly FS2 for VR, X-Plane has been my primary sim for past few years and I was in FSX before that.. so now i'm adding P3D V4 to my sim collection mainly for widebodies (and hopefully the ATR-72-600 when it comes out).. Hi Guys, Im having this issue, apparently something corrupted my Scenery.cfg file, and now P3D wont start up. I know that a possible solution is to delete the .cfg file and let P3D build a new one, but the thing is I have way to many Sceneries, and it will be a mess to add them back again one by one. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

When i do the above in controls P3D is changing it to Shift + 1 + E I do not understand why its doing this?????

I installed new airports, LOWS (Digital Design Salz) and EGPH, (UK2000 Edinburgh), when inputting the Destination airport in the route page, a runway is shown saying that EGPH RWY (Insert here) N/A. Same story with LOWS. Any ideas on how to fix this? I use the PMDG 737-800 NGX. My AIRAC is up to date, (1806) and I tried using Makerunways.exe but that didn't work. So, any ideas? Hey guys, I'm doing some planning should I have to reinstall my entire P3D from scratch again. I want to do things properly this time, should I have another reason to reinstall P3D later down the line, I won't have to worry about it messing with any of my add-ons. I've should've done this to begin with, but I guess it's better late then never. As some of you may have already known, my sim was loading extremely slow. I'm talking 10-15 minutes, whereas before it would take about 2-3. Hello everyone; A weird issue I'm experiencing after I reinstall my P3D v3.4 is I cannot see the online traffic list. Having said that, I've already done all requirement to see online IVAO traffic and I don't have any problem to see them but from my aircraft. Before the re-installation, every time I was right clicking on my screen, I could see a list showing all online traffic. After re-installation, I can see the online traffic physically but not the list when right click. Any suggestion?

I am trying to use GSX parking editor. It automatically puts me in slew mode when I enter the customize parking editor. But I can't figure out to move and pan the camera around to get a better view so that I can customize parking locations for my plane, objects, etc.
