Anything out there? Found something in the library and wasn't able to install it successfully. Love the airport.

In general, were there any significant performance improvements in V4.3?

So I have this annoying problem at most major airports, my FPS drops to about 11-16 when I pan around and get occasional stutters. Ive tried everything to get a smooth running game to no avail. Ive tried NVI changed Nvidia Settings and even tweaked the P3D.cfg. I get stutters and loss of fps that ruin the simulation experience. I also see ai traffic show up as silver textures almost like the aircraft is unpainted for a few seconds then their liveries show. Could anyone help me? are my specs outdated? any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance🙂 P.S I play all games with the highest graphics settings possible Computer Specs: …

Can I add another high end video controller to my Sim without damaging it so that I can support more than 3 monitors?

In my ver 4 "Effects" Folder I have a subfolder called "effects"....it has many ".fx" files....the main "Effects" folder has many additional ".fx" files in it that are not in the "effects" subfolder, or any subfolder at all....should those ".fx" files be in the "effects" subfolder?... I had this issue in V4.2 with most of my airport jetways missing. All you would see are the main airport buildings or the buildings which connect the jetway but the moving jetways on most airports are gone. Some of my scenery affected that ive noticed LIMC, ENGM,ENVA and all DD scenery just to name a few. It isnt the end of the world not having them but since we are trying to simulate the real thing, would be nice to have. When i was with P3D v4.1 i didnt have this issue. I am using WIN 7 64bit P3d V4.3 SODE 1.6.3/FSUIPC5. Thank you for any help.

I have updated the client,content and scenery. When I click on the P3D icon to start the program I get the P3D screen showing but the little circle just keep turning and the program just doesn't start. Anyone have any ideas. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Nelson

I see that Aerosoft is still planning on releasing their professional series in the near future (they said June), and that FSLabs the A320 is compatible with P3D v4 but not the 319? Any other alternatives that work well with P3D4?

Something strange is happening to me after installing an addon using the addon-xml method. After such install, P3D seems to hang (blue circle spinning indefinitely) apparently waiting for the add-on activation, but that activation screen is not showing up, so no way to activate. When that happens, I kill P3D with the task manager, add the add-on manually and then after P3D starts-up normally. Any ideas?. Cheers, Ed

Hello everyone. Yesterday when I opened the P3D v4 I got an error that says: Another SODE process is still running in the background. Please kill this process in the task manager and restart the sim! After this, the simulator does not open. I have tried to eliminate the process in the task manager but that error continues when I open the simulator. What I can do? Regards, Jorge. Hi all! I'm going to reformat my system tomorrow, Im just wondering what would be the best (Least amount of issues and best performance) Version of V3 to try first. I have an i7 4790K @4.5GHz GTX960 2GB 8GB RAM And I run quite Resource intensive addons like AS A320, FTX Global, REX soft Clouds, OpenLC EU and varies different types of airport sceneries. I can't seem to figure out how to add 100s of feet to the selected altitude. If im not mistaken, it should be with a push (right click with mouse) of the altitude select knob that will allow you to have 100ft increments? Yet when I try this it is still at 1000ft increments. Am I missing something?

Hello On some airports, I have seen that the grass textures are showing through the taxiway and/or apron textures in my P3D v4.1 install. 2 of them are v4 compatible, whereas one of them was made for FSX. I can see the taxiway and apron markings, but the grass also shows through. EDAH by C7 : EHLE by NL2000 FMMI Freeware I have moved the scenery order to the top, but it did not fix this. I am also using FTX Global. A Happy New Year to all ! 9W

I have downloaded all 13 of the individual component files for the v4.3 updates rather than uninstalling and re-installing the full P3D file. I know I have to install by using the three main msi files - Install_Client.msi, Install_Content.msi, and Install_Scenery.msi. I am not sure what is supposed to be done with the Setup_Prepar3D.exe file and when. Can someone enlighten me on this please?

I have no idea how the concept of including an uninstaller has befuddled so many add-on developers, but here I am in 2018 manually hunting down scenery folders to remove payware products made by developers who should know better. I genuinely don't understand their thought process.
