Question for P3D Ver 5.4....Please suggest a good trainer aircraft, prefer; Tricycle gear, easy to use autopilot, good visibility, not a speed demon, free or payware doesn't matter. My grandson is interested in getting into flight simulation and I don't want him (or me!) to be overwhelmed! Thanks a lot!

Hello everyone I bought this MiG a few days ago and wanted to make my first flight. However, I cannot activate the wheel chocks and GPU – I looked in the manual, but I cannot find any information on how to do this – anyway, most of it is devoted to the MSFS version. Can anyone who owns the aircraft can tell me if there is a keyboard shortcut or if I need to click something in the cockpit to activate the GPU and wheel chocks? Thank you in advance. Grzegorz

Good morning all I could really use any and all help solving this mystery I have had Prepar3dv5 since 2021 and have never had a problem with it. I only run PMDG 777-200,300, Activesky, GSX, Ksfo by flightbeam and EGLL scenery. And it has been great no problems for almost 5 years, then beginning in December i start getting Micro stutters and have no idea why, I have never changed anything in the sim except every 3 months cleaning out the shader cache files and scenery index files. Hi all, Just wanted to share an observation. After upgrading my system lately with a capable AMD 9800X3D and 5070Ti, I decided to just use MSFS 2024, X-Plane 12 and DCS from now on and skip P3D. Fortunately the variety of Airliners and GA is good right now. Do we know if there a patch somewhere which fixes terrain issues with the above scenery - Every time I fly in or out of KMEM Memphis from Fsdreamteam, I always encounter terrain related issues on P3D - the runways and taxiways appear to behave like gravel which affects the ground roll. To me it feels like I'm travelling over various potholes. I understand this scenery was developed for FSX/FS2004 which was ported over to P3D. Anyone else having similar sort of issues? Unfortunately we don't have any other alternative for Memphis other than fsdreamteam's one.

My Ultimate Traffic 2 has outlived its service life and is no longer supported. so, I am looking for an alternate. I know there is one (name escapes me) which I tried a few years ago. But there are too many hoops to jump through. I want something simple, but accurate and complete. Does such a product exist for P3D 5.4 thanks sherm

How do I program more than one throttle function on a slider? My joystick has only one slider for throttle and P3d doesn't seem to let me program two engines on one slider! I'm probably missing something simple, but I can't seem to be able to figure it out! Thanks a lot!

Hello fellow simmers, Carenado has a 30% discount for their aircraft. I'm thinking about to buy the A42 and/or A72. I know Carenado is not study level, but that's no problem for me. I have a few questions. How is the integration with the RXP GTN 750? Does it work good? Are there any issues with it? How easy is it to update to the latest airac cycle? I have a navigraph subscription. I have several other aircraft from Carenado and they work fine in P3D 5.4 (that's my sim). Do the A42 and A72 also work good in 5.4 and how is the impact on fps? I have LatinVFR's airport scenery for Viru Viru (SLVR) and I am trying to get it to work in P3D v5.4. I deleted the default buildings from the scenery, but the scenery has a elevation problem and I am having trouble fixing it. I am using this guide I am up to the part where it says, "Since in v5 this is not revised, but default I go again into Tools, "Raw Data View" and change "Create Stub" to false and "Revised Altitude" to false. After closing, the tag "Revised Altitude" is gone." In ADE the Raw Data View is greyed out and I cannot click on it. What do I do?? Is there another way to fix the elevation of airports in P3D v5.4??

The 64 bit FSlabs Concorde is higher in fidelity than the X-Plane Colimata and DC Designs. Feel free to ask any Concorde questions.

I just picked up the Ultimate Airliners MD-80 and DC-9 megapack from Flight1. The graphics are exactly as they were in FSX (Surprise!) but the planes are still a joy to fly and the AP is very responsive. yet I have a problem loading in a flight plan so I have been forced to navigate using HDG and can't use NAV, which is annoying at best. To make things worse, Coolsky support is no longer offered on their "Legacy" products so I thought I would ask here in case anyone owns and flies these planes. Testing Chaseplane 1.0.20 P3D Personal 6.1.11.31619 FSUIPC 6.2.2 Two monitor setup WIN11 I noticed problems when using keyboard keys for: Brakes/parking brake. FSUIPC button assignment for parking brake (Saitek Throttles). L key for landing lights. Once Chaseplane Interface is selected (in focus) the keyboard keys and button assignment no longer work. Hello! My Aerosoft's Airbus Professional is turning off during flight, like cold & dark mode! I can't do anything, neither turning on the aircraft. Just installed P3D v4.5 in my new laptop (A HP Victus 16, RTX 4060 8 GB, i7 14th gen, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 25H2). As mentioned, upon loading, all I get is a blacked out Vehicle Scenario section, the preview of the aircraft (since default, say there's a black screen instead of the F22) Moreover, loading up the flight results in the same black screen. Weirdly I hear the F22 and the audial feedback of increasing/decreasing throttle. Since re-installing Ver 5.4, my Slew function has gone crazy! When I activate Slew, the simulator goes into Warp mode and flies across the scenery at a very rapid rate. I cannot slow it down. Can someone instruct me in how to get it slowed down to a usable speed? Thanks a lot!

Hello, Even though I use a pair of 39" curved monitors each with a 2560x1080 resolution setting, I don't use P3D's Wide-Angle monitor option because it creates a flattened image where buildings and scenery are squeezed down to a flatter ratio which looks unrealistic. The problem with that is my external and cockpit view ranges seem much more limited where I can't for instance zoom out in the cockpit to see the entire console in a PMDG 737 or any other airliner. While I can still pan around to see everything, that can make things tough when, for instance, you are turning off the taxiway and want to switch off the takeoff lights, because panning to see the s…
