Flying the "old" 😉 P3D v4.5 with I7-8700K (no overcl.) and Geforce GTX 1080ti, realizing CPU with 12 Threads working around 85% and GPU around 30%. Is it possible to move more work to the GPU to relieve the CPU a bit (other than increasing tesselation) ?

Hi all, I have a problem with the display of Cockpit view. As soon I change for example to spot I get a double display..Alighter coloured one within the main display It is like there is a second display Any ideas as I cannot find it Display via Matrox Triplehead2go

Haven't paid attention until now but on my V5HF1 the majority of the default airports have no runway markings other than taxi lines. No piano keys, no numbers etc. Payware like Flightbeam are all good as Orbx individual airports. Seem to recall this was an original issue to be resolved in HF1 but I could be mistaken on that. Anyone else seeing this? Vic

No matter what setting I try, it seems the water gets blurry about halfway up the screen, whilst Trees and land etc at the same distances do not get the blurries applied, any ideas? I have tried every combination of water detail from none with no effects all the way to ultra with high effects

I don't recall if this happened in v4, but in v5, whenever you switch views from external back to the internal virtual cockpit, it will show up black and then load in. This is super annoying and really takes away from the immersion. Does anyone know if this is a bug or what is causing this? I would like to fix it if possible.

I started at topic with the prepar3d forum but response has been slow and so far the only reply points me to instructions on how to remove p3dv4. I patiently waiting a further reponse. In the meantime, has anyone here encountered a fatal exception trying to uninstall P3dv4? When trying to uninstall using the proper precedures? The obvious answer to all this is to just delete the P3dv4 folder..but i am hoping to keep the licence for a fallback procedure if version 5 is not what i am looking for. I cannot have both sims on my HDD as i have 2 x 2 gig hd pretty full so yes, i must remove 1 to install the other! Any tips or additional help appreciated!☺️

Well find myself in an interesting situation. I had Victoria plus installed into my P3Dv.4...and then I lost everything in HD failure. I am now trying to reinstall it. I am now confused as to what bloody version I should install. I have VanPlus V3 which I think is the final version and this I got installed from the special installer from Jon Patch but I think that's the final version, I have VictoriaPlus V8 which I think is the correct version but I go to install its the old Flightsim Store with validation boxes; order #, date and key. So I fill all them out as I still have the email from the store but the store is defunct so I cant install. Has someone out…

I have an EVGA FTW GTX1070 8GB...and with Dynamic Texture off...right near Detroit, Mich...I'm getting 27-30 (locked 30 within sim) and at 5.7/6.7 With it switched on, same 30 seconds of flight after it off...same place, same Bat channel...I am getting the SAME FPS, BUT...with my vRAM now only consuming 4.5/6.7 With my complete uninstall and full install of v5.24, I am getting great performance, dead smooth animation, at 27-30 locked 30...and am very impressed with my last hour of flight...as for this new feature switch to control vRAM consumption...... On my system I see no hit on FPS performance, as some have noted on their systems. I guess it all falls …

Hi guys, i have a problem. I replaced my gtx 1070 to 1080ti. It is normal that my cpu and gpu usage never exceed 40-50% and everytime p3d stutters ? It is a clean install of p3d v4.5 without hotfix 2. I've spent a couple of weeks getting various aircraft flying in v5. If an aircraft flies in v5, will it also fly in v5 HF1, or does it need to be updated & reinstalled in v5 HF1? T45

Is there a way to disable specific ATC voice files? There are around ten of them, and I am curious to know if I can disable some of them.

Good afternoon everynone, i experience a problem with TS and P3D 4.5 (not the latest hotfix installed). When applying a preset and starting P3D i don'T see a aircraft in the preview screen and when startiung a flight the screen stays black also after rebuilding the shaders. This happens with every preset. Can someone of you help me with that ? Thanks, Carsten

Im very disapointed, that no large passenger aircraft is among the default planes. Can anyone recommend and add on for V5 with a 747 or the like?

Anyone has found a way to mitigate or reduce these visual artefacts on object's edges when TrueSky is ON ? Though it was mentionned in a Rob McCarthy's post on LM forum as "to be fixed on the next hotfix" but didn't find anything in the release notes.

Hi AllI am getting great performance with the hot fix mostly (Texture streaming off), around 60-70 FPS with atmospherics on or off loaded will all my goodies but then later when I run the sim (not always) it drops to 20-25 for the exact same planes and scenario but only when atmospherics is off, if I switch atmospherics on fps more than doubles. Now if I reboot my PC when I go back in I have those high frame rates in both situations again until the next time it happens and its a pattern I can reproduce, memory leak or driver problem perhaps. I have purchased and downloaded the latest version of Düsseldorf V2 for Prepar3D v4.4 (I have version 4.5 installed) and noticed that all the SODE jetways are missing (airport lights are working fine). I checked that SODE is activated and registered, and that the Add-On is enabled in Prepar3D. It's the only airport where it happens. For example, in Palma de Mallorca, all jetways work correctly. I checked the ProgramData SODE folders, and have several .xml, as well as the SimObjects folder which contains the models of the jetways. I also deleted the EDDL.ini GSX configuration file in %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX in case it …

Hi All I am using the latest Prepar3d 4.5 software and I have added BDO's Kansai (RJBB). When I look at the scenery library I cannot see the scenery listed bit when I go to add, a dialogue box opens and states that the scenery is already in the scenery library. The problem also is that the scenery that loads is the default. Any ideas? Thanks Craig
