With DX12 and truesky tech, I was expecting to see better global light casting, yet it seems to stay the same from FSX days. Even cloudy or overcast, the plane is still casting shodows?! Seriously guys?

I have P3Dv4.1 on my computer with two monitors. I would like if possible to have Skydemon on the second monitor and have it show the position of my P3D aircraft on the Skydemon PC display. Has anyone managed to do this and can give me an simple guide how to set it up, I do have the paid version of FSUIPC with GPSout if that helps. I have read older posts on Google on this subject but most seem to want to connect a Tablet version of Skydemon to FSX or X Plane, is there a simple way to connect P3Dv4 to Skydemon on the same computer. Hello, I just picked up DD's Miami City scenery this weekend, as it has just been moved to a 'free download' status (see Bargain Hunter's Shack forum). One question I do have before I get started,, does this scenery install via the newer P3D XML method for add-ons, or does it still use the older scenery.cfg method. Just looking for information as I get ready to begin the process. Thanks for your help, Mike

Hello, As prep for v5 coming this week, how does one point the new version to the existing add-ons? Even the ones which exist in the document/P3D add-ons folder point to folders in the main sim (like effects for example). Is the only option deleting the whole main folder and clean install plus reinstalling from scratch all add-ons? Thanks

I have gone through the process of deleting the trainer. I was prompted to the update which I installed. I have version 6.62. When I Start P3D and select a plane that has the GTN 750 in it I get the prompt that the trainer version is incorrect. Am I missing a step or what. I am probably doing something simple wrong since the frustration level is very high! Thanks

Not sure what the issue is here, but does anyone get this weird texture on the runway when turning on their taxi lights? Not sure if this is FSDT's PHNL that's causing this, or QW787? I thought the lighting issue has been fixed in HF1? With my lights on my plane such as runway, landing, taxi, etc... they look overly bright and very unnnatural. Here's what it looks like with just the taxi lights on during the day.

For some reason, I cannot have my sliders cranked up after updating to the latest HF. It seems like with very reasonable, medium settings, I am close to maxing out my VRAM. 6.2/6.5GB. Where as before the update, I had my sliders very high and still had VRAM leftover to spare. Something isn't right here.

Hello guys, I know P3D has been getting better and better, we all need to upgrade to catch up with everything coming out now into our sim world BUT some of us have priorities like work, family, home, etc. I dont think my setup is sooooo behind but I need help, since P3DV4 up to now V5 I been struggling with dynamic lights even though I run everything medium on my settings, I know every computer is different but I think i can ask the question; what can I balance in our to not have a big impact using dynamic lights during night flying, my frames will drop drastically just by checking the dynamic lights option, besides that I can fly anywhere in my sim now, thanks for any he…

I own both the new F18, the old TM A-10 stick and the new TM TPR Pendular Ruder Pedals. Interesting how TM pricing their products. If you not own the TM HOTAS Magnetic Base and purchase the "new" F-16C VIPER HOTAS Add-On Grip you pay 289.98£. If you instead purchase the Hotas Warthog stick (A-10C) you pay 269.99£=saving 20£. They are the same. TM has just change the product name. Isn't it sweet.

Hello All, I'm looking to buy another North America scenery for P3D, and am trying to pick between Flightbeam KSFO and one of the Drzewiecki Design NY packages. I've own KDEN and KIAD as well as DD KORD, but I heard there was a makeover of KSFO in the works from an older FSElite article but I couildn't find anything newer. I saw this would not be free, but should I get KSFO anyway? Would it be a complete re-buy or just an upgrade? Thanks and if you have other solutions they are more than welcome. Stay safe, Canine

I test Prepar3D V5 with Enhanced Atmospheric ON at 4K and photoscenery. You know what ? It's perfectible but frankely there's potential at the price of a great graphic card 😉

Hi Guys, I’ve been interested in this program from FSPS which apparently modifies automatically the FFTF so we can enjoy the best performance depending on the situation or the stage of flight. But I wanted to ask the ones who already tried it, is it worth it? Does it adjusts the FFTF Automatically? I ask this because honestly Im no expert when it comes to tweaking. I really miss Active Sky. Yes, I'm using REX SkyForce for weather and clouds, but there is nothing like Active Sky for weather. I certainly hope HiFi is close to releasing their version for Version5, because flying isn't the same without that wonderful program. I'll still use SkyForce for sky and cloud formations along with Active Sky when it comes out, but I thought I'd give HiFi a shot here so that if they read this, they'll realize we're waiting......rather impatiently. Looking for high quality sceneries in the world (P3d v4.5+) giving the impression, like flying and sightseeing over almost real territory (excluded Orbx True Earth products). The more unusal and fancy places of the world, the better ... but with high quality for real enjoyment in flight. My own example : flying through the mountains of Austria, or Switzerland, seeing great landscapes (with beautiful textures) What are your experiences ?

There is the option to install ORBX in its own library outside the sim as well as inside. While I have always installed inside P3d, I wonder what most of you do.

I got the notification from Simmarket today that LHBP has been updated for P3d v5. I installed it and went to check it out. The airport looks fine but there is a row of floating trees that comes into view right after take off. Anyone else seeing this? Cheers, Pete

If you ever find yourself getting lukewarm or outright bored (you know, after you've finally got it setup all perfect and now it's time to just....fly!) in using P3D/FSX consider picking up FSCaptain. It is far and away the most impactful $39 I've ever spent on a hobby that costs thousands to support and I've used it for years and have been flight simming for decades. Customer service for FSC is excemplary. To make a long story short: I had HF3 installed (updated) but everything else (client, content, scenery) was different build, basically scenery hasn't been updated for two years....etc. And I decided to de-activate everything and do fresh install (v4.5) at the same place where I had V4.5 before....After I updated mu ORBX (NA). Ran SIM once, rebooted etc... Everything by the book. Addon MGR shows everything in order how I had it before and once I launched all my AddOns (planes, sceneries) are present. Until I took off...... Now I see only bricks all over the place on the ground, so not sure (but suspecting) that I missed something... and that ORBX is "guilty" (until proven…
