....... reinstalled it!! 😁 Yes, I am dumb! I was so pleased with P3D5 that I decided to uninstall the v4.5 as soon as ActiveSky and the Maddog were updated for the new LM version. Total uninstall, all addons wiped, registry cleaned one code by one, and 1.5Tb free. Did I really need it? Not at all, I have plenty of room on my SSDs. But what a super feeling!! My PC was breathing and my new P3D5 was the new king in town!! Average: 4 hours work. But....between the various CTDs, the BSODs, the GPU hangs and the kernell thingies, I am not able to fly more than 1 hour or 2. And every time I launch the sim after a crash or a simple test I have to wait 1…

Hi all, I have transitioned to P3Dv5 and installed all my add-ons that have P3Dv5 versions so far. The thing is, I don't think I can get to like P3Dv5 colors. If I use enhanced atmospherics, the colors look orangish. Like there is an orange filter everywhere. If I not use enhanced atmospherics, colors look too bluish. I am currently evaluated if the performance over v4.5 after I've installed many add-ons and I can't exclude the possibility to revert back to 4.5. What do you think? Do you like P3Dv5 colors over v4.5 ?

I've just returned to simming after 10 years away. I've just bought a brand new top of the range PC, so thought I'd give it a go. Completely clean and brand new install of everything, go to install P3D v5 and it fails, everytime. I get the following message: "Prepar3D v5 Content requires Prepar3D v5 to be installed" Click on OK Then get "Setup failed...0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation". Hi, I’m quite new to flying modern jets so any help would be appreciated! I just picked up the 787 from QW (P3D4) and did my first flight EGLl-FACT and noticed on approach when I selected heading hold the A/C did not in fact do anything! Is there anything else I needed to do? The A/C was no longer in Lnav mode either.. Also another frustrating thing was that there appears to be no direct to button in the CDU I’m sure I’m missing something? Another issue I came across was in the ascent with the ‘step climbs’ when I set VNAV it would only climb to the altitude set on the MCP. I've been using v5 almost exclusively and I still have v4 on the same drive. Whenever I try to use v4 I get a message which says: "There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names". When I hit the "Close" button, it just advances to the next plane and repeats until it goes through my complete list of planes I have installed on v5. How do I get rid of these messages? Thanks. Jim

Just installed P3D v5 and all my aircraft have the elevator trim locked all the way down. I can get it to momentarily go up with my trim rocker on my CH Eclipse yoke, but then it immediately goes all the way back down again. When I try using autopilot in any aircraft the plane immediately dives. I guess this is because of the elevator trim being all the way down. Does anyone know what might be going on here? -Ed

Hi guys , After flying my ga aircraft in Xplane11(washed out colors and a lot of shimmering) for almost a year and trying to like aeroflyfs2 as much as I can I decided to install p3dv4 again. I had removed it because it kept crashing quite often with flyinside and native vr didn't work anymore. The installation was 3 years old and there were a lot of addons I had tried and removed and it was a mess. Using V4.5...I have tried everything I know to stop my aircraft (any prop plane) from a slow bank to the left. Torque and P Factor are at lowest setting, calibrated many times.I understand about the high torque during climb, but this happens constantly even during cruise. Nothing is working! Hi everyone, I have on my Boeing 747 an autopilot shortcut in the list of "instrument panel": The Falcon50 autopilot. I want to transfer this shortcut to an other plane, an Airbus A320. Is it possible ? In the "model" folder of the plane, i've spotted a .cab file which seems to be the tool. I copy/paste it in my a320 panel folder but in game nothing happened, it doesn't works. I ask yo some help ! Hello, I recently loaded the QW787 for the first time in a long time, and I have noticed that the instrument panel that displays engine data seems to have no font/text on it. For example, there are no numbers on the display. I know this might sound really stupid, so I apologize. There might be a mistake I;m making because I haven't flown the 787 in a long time. I cannot upload an image, because I do not have any image URLs, and AVSIM rejects every url I paste. I will describe it as best I can. Hello I have P3D4. I have recently been learning about flight planning. I have not been going by any charts. Being somewhat new to flight planning I have been playing around with the SIDS, flight plans and STARS in the FMC until I had a flight plan that worked and made sense. Everything about my flight goes well until I am about to touchdown. When I have about 50 - 70 feet to go on descent to the runway it pulls up and starts to climb. I have tried setting the altitude to 0 so that it will keep descending all the way to the runway. I fly with the PMDG 737. Hi all, As a quick look at my profile would probably suggest, I am rather a large fan of the old Hong Kong Kai Tak airport (closed in 1998), and indeed FlyTampa's Kai Tak scenery was my first (and remains my most treasured) piece of Addon Scenery. One video of Kai Tak which I'm sure you're familiar with is this landing from the flight deck of a Cathay Pacific 747-400. You'll notice that at circa 4:06 the Radio Altimiter calls out "60", an unusual callout but indeed one that was available as a custom option if requested by a customer. Looks like FSDG's Nairobi Jomo-Kenyatta was released a few days ago. I have their GODB/Dakar Lite and like it, especially for the 10 Eurogazink price tag. With FSDG sceneries, "Lite" means no development of the area outside the airport boundary...the airports themselves are well-done. Website says it's V4 and V5 compatible.

So i made a complete Reinstall (Windows included) and upgraded to HF3. Now i have on several Airport-Addons a strange mixup on Taxiway, and sometimes Runway-Textures. The Airports from the screenshots, are already placed on top of the scenery list, i played with the FTX-EU-GEN-bgl-Files as well. ORBX, Justsim, Freeware, Flytampa and other Airports having this problem. Does anybody maybe had this issue as well? Or a little advice maybe? ...a tiny one? ...just a push into the right direction? I wasn't using V4.5 for a month, ever since V5 was installed over a month ago....I flew with 747 and 787 (all smooth and good). As we know there are no more updates PMDG/FSL (delayed for some reason) and I decided to switch back and use V4.5 to fly my favourites. I haven't change anything in setting but I am chocking with 9-10 FPS....on the ground and in the air..... Not sure if re-installing ORBX base could contribute to this issue, but I don't think so. Lowering settings to minimum doesn't change absolutely nothing. SIM simply got stuck on 9 FPS and SIM won't budge. What I tried so far, deleted gen files and .cfg, repaired Client and other than that nothing. Not sure i…

Seems I am missing a lot of GA parking spots at airports as compared to P3Dv4 and even tarmacs are missing. Been using KSNA (Orange County John Wayne airport) as my test but checked also Gillespie and Montgomery-Gibbs field in San DIego as well as they are busy GA airports. I am performing side-by-side comparisons and can see the missing areas. Can anyone verify this on their systems? Just not sure if it is because LM updated the airports and this is a side result of that or maybe a missing tarmac texture. Thx Clutch.

When changing graphic profiles or moving airports getting a stuck at 11% terrain loading most times it is a CTD at that point kernelbase .dll error

Please let me know if I'm posting this in the wrong section. I am running Prepar3d (v4,5) along with Orbx (general packages as well as PNW). Aircraft are pretty much GA and some corporate. Hello - Today while installing Aerosoft EDDF Professional into P3d v5I received a "severe" Trojan virus warning: "Trojan:Win32/Occamy.C." Has anyone else gotten this warning? I aborted the installation and also posted this in the Aerosoft Forum. Cheers, Pete

I've realized that with P3D running, my CPU Core 0 is always at 100%. Is this normal? I can exclude AV software and Defender as it has been suggested in other threads. It is independent from a/c and scenery where it is located. Even with very low settings CPU Core 0 remains at 100%. No P3D cfg tweaks, No REX, No AS, No Traffic .... always 100%. Any ideas what could cause this high CPU usage?
