Hello everybody! I bought P3D v5 a few days ago and wanted to buy the PMDG 777, I a little bit confused, I'm not sure if It is compatible yet. http://prnt.sc/sif1e9 I came across the PMDG website and saw the the requirements say that you need P3D v4.4+, v5 falls in this category. I wanted to ask here if that is true? Is the PMDG 777 compatible with Prepar3D v5? Cheers! Yuval.

Hi guys did any one test P3D V5 with two video cards ? With DX12, I guess P3D V5 can handle 2 videos cards and double vram 😉 Hope one of you can test this.

Hi Guys I know this is a common issue with many forums but none seem to have a solution for me So i am currently running V5 and my Latin VFR KMIA, Flightbeam KDEN etc are showing default scenery bleeding through For example there would be default ground textures here and there and building where there shouldnt be. I use Lorby addon organiser to ensure all my addon airports are at the top of the scenery CFG and i thought this was meant to solve the issues but default still comes through a bit If it makes a difference i do have FTX Global installed but below all the addon airports Thanks

I`ve just bought this mesh, i have a significant problem with what seems like a bow wake or mesh morphing in front and to the side as i fly along(VFR low and slow) my settings are 5mtr in p3d settings and i`ve not moved the scenery order from the default insertion point! Seems like an expensive mistake buying this. Anyone have some tips on how to eliminate this annoying behavior, if i untick the mesh using LORBYS scenery tool the morphing goes away. Cheers Rick

Hey Does anyone had success with Ezca camera in v5 ? If I "click" on the caméra in main ezca panel everything good but as soon as I use my yoke command to switch view it switch to view that doesnt even exist, change my zoom setting,... Same when I switch catégories it goes outside view and then switch between outside and tower but never go back on the inside view Any idea ? SOLVED HERE'S THE SOLUTION IN CASE I had to delete every view key assignement in p3d AND ezca and then remap them Thanks

Lately, for some reason P3D always seems to crash when flying to and from KLAX. I am not sure if it happens because of the fact that I am flying to that airport or because of something else however I can only reproduce the error when flying to or from KLAX. has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any help, I am sure you all understand how frustrating this can be.

Hi there, After trying to uninstall and then reinstall SODE in order to fix an airport issue with the jetways and wind socks, no I completely lost all my jetways and windsocks. Any ideas what I can do to fix it? G'day everyone, I'd love your advice on my next airliner. I'm currently flying the QualityWings 146 and 787-9. They are great aircraft but I'm getting a little frustrated with the FMC on the 787. There seem to be a few bugs which makes the flight more annoying than fun. I've narrowed down my choices for my next long haul jet to either PMDG 777 or iFly 737NG and would really appreciate your experiences. Also, I'm not necessarily wedded to these two, they just seem like they'd fit the bill. I should add that I'm not an aviator, just keen to learn. Thanks heaps Warwick

Currently using P3D v 4.5. Would anyone care to share their desktop color settings? I had mine set up but they seem to have gone back to something else. Thanks in advance. Duane

Hi Folks, I was crashing to desktop (or sometimes BSODs) every time I was in approach to ORBX's CYSE. This was reproducible and not linked to graphic settings. I believe I have fount the culprit. (finger crossed!) If your P3D5 crashes when approaching certain airports, try the following: In ORBX Central's airport control panel, uncheck ALL options where you see the word "Grass" and redo your flight. Grass only, you can leave the Trees options enabled. I have done this to S43 and CYBD where I had the same crashes on approach, and it also works. Hope it helps!

Hi, A few weeks back I was reading a thread about refresh rates, full screen, wide screed... I really can't remember the term, thread, or setting. All I can remember is there was a suggestion to change a setting in Windows (thought is was display settings), to uncheck a checkbox that had something to do with full screen or wide screen helping or assisting or something? I did it, I though it helped, but I want to undo the setting now and I can't figure out what it was. With this unchecked, if I minimize the P3D window to a smaller size than my screen, and then I switch to full screen without maximizing the P3D window, the full screen remains the size of the small…

I just downloaded the A2A P-40 Warhawk to see if it would work w P3dV5 and I keep getting a message "The A2A P-40 cant be installed because a valid installation of Lockheed P3dv4 has not been found on your computer." I was going to buy the Cessna package for P3d but then saw that the P 40 was free and said what the hell Ill give it a try and see if that's compatible w v5 first, No Joy on that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on if the Cessna will work on P3dv5 even though the P 40 doesn't. Or how to get the A2A P 40 to recognize P3dv5? Thanks Pat

When it was released, I installed v5, but it gave me real problems, so I installed v4.5 instead (after rebuilding my PC). My current version is Prepar3D_v4_Academic_4.5.14.34698. I know this won't be the last problem, but is anyone having a problem with ChasePlane? It doesn't not give me error messages, but when I launch it I had to make sure it knew I was using v4.5, but ChasePlane doesn't even start when I start P3D. I've not had this problem before, where ChasePlane doesn't seem to know P3D has started. Can someone help, it would be much appreciated if anyone can. Thanks

Has anyone managed to get Digital Design EGGP Liverpool working properly with ORBx TrueEarth GB Central in P3D v4? There is obviously a conflict with various scenery items (two Mersey Gateway bridges, two sets of wind turbines on the east bank of the Mersey etc), and there is also a significant amount of missing autogen.

Hello there! I recently asked myself, if the airports in Prepar3dv5 are more accuratly placed then in v4. What I mean by this, is if it's possible to fly online (i.e. Vatsim) in Prepar3dv5 without having an expensive scenery to buy. I'm currently using Prepar3d v4.5, where flying online without scenery isn't really possible, because the placement accuracy of Taxiways, Gates and Airport Buildings is very different to the "real". So my question: Is it possible to fly online in v5 (like in XPlane 11) without having a scenery and without hinder others simulation experience?

Hello, I have been having screen tearing and micro stutters constantly when panning at airports or just watching AI traffic. I have an I7-4790k with 32 GB of RAM, I have GE Force 1080TI card with 11 GB of Ram I only have SSD’s no hard disks. I have three 32 inch 2K View sonic Monitors stretch with surround for the view outside. I don’t run any panels on the system. All my avionics are on separate PC connected via Prosim737. In Nvidea Panel I have set my three monitors from the native 60 hz to 30 hz. I have read here that is better. I have set my frame rate to unlimited in P3DV4.5. I recently acquired REX's Skyforce 3d and Environment Force 3d. The latter most definitely can inject clouds (using "cloud sync") into P3d while the sim is running and you can see the immediate difference. However despite the manual clearly implying Skyforce 3d does the same, it doesn't seem to. While you can use EF3d to edit the clouds on the fly, the control over the shape, type and look of the clouds are not as detailed as with SkyForce3d. I keep reading the Skyforce manual over to try and grasp what REX actually means and I have to say I have rarely read such unclear, tortuous language which goes around the block several times while not making it clear whether th…

I having an issue with the GSX. As soon as i start the active sky menu pop up the GSX menu disappears and does not start after that. If i dont use the active sky menu it works fine. I have done the following with no luck. 1. dll.xml and exe.xml delete 2. Reinstall GSX, update fsdt 3. Reinstall Active sky Any help here would be great.

Hi all, I'm interested to see if anyone else has the same issue happening and know of a fix. I've done a search but couldn't really locate anything useful. At the beginning of a flight, at any airport with any aircraft I average 30-40FPS (generally an ORBX airport with a quality add-on aircraft Fslabs, PMDG or A2A). In cruise, the FPS gets even better averaging 40 FPS. When I descend and approach an airport, regardless of the time in cruise, FPS drops progressively and ends up at about 10-15 FPS on final even at default airports with default scenery. I also see an occasional struggle where I get a drop down to around 3-5 FPS for a few seconds but this is rarer. …
