JV posted on the Orbx forum that the first product to have a P3D 2.0 compatible installer will be FTX Global. That made me really happy because I was afraid that I would have to fly above default textures for a while in P3D 2.0… ^_^

Since newer AMD CPU's out perform most Intels in muti threaded apps I wonder how my FX-8350 with its 8 cores running at 4.5ghz will stack up against the I7 4770k in P3d? Will AMD now become the "King of CPU's" for flight sims?

Beyond the visuals, will the flight in P3D V2 stutter free. Despite my lower setting in FSX, I still have noticeable stutter (micro pause of a fraction of a second, enough to know that something has just pause your sim) which totally destroy the feeling of flight at that moment. Having nice visuals and effects is one thing but if your flight is not smooth, then what's the point? Thanks in advance P.S. I looked for this in various posts, most are just raves about visuals and may be one saying that with most visuals maxed out the FPS is 70%-90% of the target 30 FPS.

Gotta love that they feature Dino's F-35, and a few more high quality aircraft. Probably the best default aircraft ever to be features in a sim as far as I'm concerned. Pricing is still a bit expensive, but the dollar is weak, so us foreigners are at least getting a rebate - kind of ironic considering the US tax money being spent over at LM. Promotion from beta testers have been really abysmal, and LM has linked to the few screenshots out there - and most of them aren't very good. Few beta testers, or is interest among simmers really that low? I am looking forward to monday. Let's hope their servers don't break down!

Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to change the day time in P3D on the sport has it is with Xplane 10... I mean by pressing a key, you can increase or decrease day time straight out.... Will P3D offer that function or will you have to change the time via the top menu (which takes longer)... Thank you Greg

As we all know, tomorrow, November 18, Lockheed Martin will announce additional details about Prepar3d 2.0, including technical information and pricing. For those of you who are impatient and/or pressed for time, here's tomorrow's P3D discussion thread in easy-to-read digest form: >Hey, LM just announced P3D details! >Wow, that's great! I'm switching immediately! >Meh. Those screenshots look like FSX/FS9/XP8/Fly!/Flight Assignment ATP... >Look at the shadows cast by those rivets! >The rivets are supposed to be flush. P3D sux! >I thought the video was stuttery. I'm not switching. >Why would anyone switch if you can't…

Quick question, to those developing for V2.0 and privy to the beta platform; What is p3d 2.0 allowing you to do that FSX wouldn't? We've read that performance is better all round, and we know about the volumetric shadows. In your testing however you must have found other things which are easier or less taxing on the system. i.e; - Are higher resolution textures permitted for the same performance deficit? - Are higher resolution models permitted.......... Etc etc. I'd love to know exactly what developers are finding. Can you do a lot more to your products than you could with FSX?

First of all hello to everyone. Is my first post in this Forum. I am from Vienna in Austria so please dont mind if my english doesnt make sense all time . First Post and allready a question. I do have ORBX Global and Austria Pro but in fact when i activate the Austria Pro Landlass in the scenery library my ORBX Texture swap from green into unrealistic brown on the countryside. Has somebody experienced this problem too and has an idea how to fix that? What confuses me ist that ORBX should be only Textures and Austria Pro only Landclass (except the big city - they are photoreal). In the library Austria Pro is above ORBX (but also the other way arround …

Hi, i am still hesitating whether buy ORBX Global or not. Everywhere i can see nice screenshots, but to be honest thing which can fully convince me is comparison. Same area before and after ORBX Global installation. This kind of comparison i cannot find, does anybody knows where i can find it?, any link would be appreciated. Thanks
