Hello, anyone else using this joystick? It has very limited control of the Aircraft, doesn't work at all taxiing. I have calibrated but I must be missing something.

I have a problem of little white boxes throughout my scenery. I have all the settings set to default. I deleted Version 2.0 and then reloaded it again and still have the same problems. With or without FTX Global. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

Hi all. I'm sure this forum is riddled with this same question but I wanna go ahead and ask for everyone's opinion before I throw a chunk of money out there. Here's the setup I'm thinking about. Motherboard- P8Z77-v CPU- i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4Ghz GPU- GTX 650 TI-Boost 2GB RAM- 8GB DDR3 Any recommendations to this are welcome, as long as I don't go over $1,200, setup i have now is $900. Thoughts?

Ok so I was having an issue with stutters and slow loading of internal and external models in P3D with my 660ti so I ordered a new gtx770 4gb and I can honestly tell you it didn't help much payware planes still take along time to load though it is shorter and no fps increase, the stutters have went away though. So if your thinking about a GPU upgrade and expecting it to make a huge difference I'd think twice. Luckly I play games on this PC too so the card won't go to waste but still I thought the GPU was supposed to actually do something now. I can't imagine that my CPU at 4.5ghz is a bottleneck. I will say I like the card though should cut through BF3 and Skyrim like a h…

One of the problems that plagued my FSX all the way through the last six years was the blurries - when the terrain texture loading couldn't keep up with the aircraft. Even though I could maintain a decent framerate all the time the blurries would always rear their ugly head sooner or later. This used to pretty much spoil any flights made in high speed aircraft like fighter aircraft. None of the tweaks worked for me in this regard. I even tried turning all the autogen and scenery complexity sliders all the way back, clearing the weather and turning off AI, and after a minute or two of flight anything over 350 knots at low altitudes would leave my terrain a blurry mess. …

I installed P3D v2 and all went well. ... Until I started P3D then it stated that P3D was unable to initialize the rendering system. check DirectX 11 support Video Cards and or update drivers. I updated drivers however will the following cards support DirectX 11? ATI Radeon HD 5800 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS or is it time for new cards? I tried to find the answer myself but no success> Thank you.

Hello! If I set P2P v2 and FSX in clear skies I have much more distance of view in FSX than in P3P.. for example in LEMT (spain) I can see far away from the mountains, but in P3P the mountains are semi-hidding in a distance mist..... Somebody know about this? edit: attach an image to show it better. As you can see the same mountains in FSX they have some natural color.. but in P3D v2 they are faded to white-blue.. Even teh near mountains are faded to white. I am not discussing which one is better.. Just for sure the lost of distance viewing in P3D v2 Thanks!

Heavily populated areas, lots of autogen, SHIFT-Z show framerate, hit V take screenshot, switch to other sim, same thing, post pics. Sounds fairly reasonable.

What does 20fps really look like? Taken on my phone, a little jerky, so is not the best video you'll ever see. It does give a flavour of what the shadows look like though and doesn't last very long. Originally I was a little miffed that the FPS counter indicated that it was going to be a slideshow. Of course, I had no fun whatsoever, flying illegally It was all done in the pursuit of knowledge.

There have been a few threads lately, where we've analyzed ourselves, as a community and as individuals, how we behave on the forums etc, sometimes we are hard on ourselves, because let me tell you, over the last couple of weeks - even as an 'experienced' simmer - this community has saved my bacon so many times with tweaks fixes and tips. When I bought and installed P3D 2.0 this morning, I saw great potential but the sim was unusable to me, because of :- The Cursor not working on any clickspots or controls The Black Screen - I couldn't even see P3D at all, during my first 3 launches! No FSUIPC, and I heavily use it for custom assignments. 9 FPS in the default situ…

Just noticed this @ Flightsim Estonia. You can get the update from the "products page": http://www.flightsim.ee/ Version 1.5 brings mostly behind-the-scenes improvements to the program. For example, patching algorithm that creates a mock FSX.exe from Prepar3D.exe got replaced with absolutely new one that supports all Prepar3D versions between 1.2 and 1.4 (newest). Migration Tool disables regular FSX installation for the duration that virtual FSX is enabled. Quite a few users experienced that FSX installation was not fully restored after disabling virtual FSX. This required minor manual corrections, but now the tool itself acts a bit more aggressive in attempts to…

I presumed that when you have Receive off, other buildings wouldn't be able to cast windows on other buildings. But they do, even with Receive off. I only have Cast on and see shadows on other buildings. Not that I mind but I wonder if I am misunderstanding the Receive option...? But I don't think that's the case because for instance the Plane receive and Terrain receive options do what I expected: they show no shadows on them if Receive is off. Maybe a little bug...?

Dear all My three year update time is here, and I have gone and ordered the following: Intel Core i7-4770 -- [7RPX5N] 1 SR 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600Mhz 1 SR 1TB (64MB Cache) 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 1 SR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 with 1.5G GDDR5 1 SR Operating System : Windows 8 64bit, English Now, the keen eyed amongst you will have noticed the graphics card is good, but not spectacular. 3 years ago I got a rig with a GTX 480, the bees knees at the time, but not for the first time discovered that spending out on such things makes not as much difference to CPU intensive flight sims as justified the expense. However, the news seems to be that P3D V2 transfers more…
