I wonder if someone can confirm if you are able to Undock 2D panels in windowed mode, move them to a second screen and then go into full screen mode, just like you can do with FSX. There have been some conflicting posts on this issue. Second, are you able to just move 2D panels to a second screen when starting in Full Screen mode. This is something that cannot be done with FSX. thanks,

Hello I was filling the scenary library with custom airports and fsGlobal 2010 from FSX taking the folder from FSX directly... and all was going good... But now I have restarted P3D v2 and all is gone.. Here is Madrid: and the library deactivated my addoms.. I see the base and default terrain in grey like phantom ticked.. What is happening here???

Hey guys, Whenever P3D is in a windowed mode, my clickspots are acting normal regardless of what plane I'm in, however when in fullscreen mode my clickspots are working only about 15% of the time. What could this be? A memory issue? Or something else?

As an IT professional of over 25 years I know how to build a good beefy rig and despite my expertise I could never quiet satisfy myself with FSX. Out of the gate I am impressed with Version 2, the performance is superior by a long shot and I haven't even began to tweak. Already I'm seeing a much more of a balance load on my processor and GPU, not to mention the detail is by default far better than FSX. I have already loaded my Carenado Malibu and shot an ILS approach into KILM and it was flawless. I have notice some bugs, on initial start up when I select full screen it keeps defaulting back to incorrect resolution setting and its done that pretty consistently. However th…

It wasn't one of the questions that made it to the Q&A for LM. It doesnt work for me, I assume that EZDOK is still required for TIR to work in p3dV2? I am surprised, given the new FSX users trying p3d, that it's not been mentioned. Which makes me wonder if only I have an issue?

First stupid question. Just as the heading says "How do I install P3D to another drive than default ©? I have a small SSD as C and there will not be space for P3D and all addons in the future. How do I install to my empty drive D?

Hi all, just got and tested Prepar3d 2 the last 24 hours. I've also been observing this forum a lot for tips etc... For me it runs at a constant 30FPS with high settings 99% of the time. One thing is bugging me, its like the sim micro stutters, when the textures appears to be snapping in to place in the distance, causing a popping effect? Other than than, great work! So as I clicked the purchase button, I knew I should really be waiting a while, until more inital reports came in, but I got caught in the moment! ........ still, I just had this nagging feeling, things weren't going to go well... ..... Bought P3d v2 yesterday and I'm wondering how to make the VC Image sharper. I've tweaked every setting available in the menu but it still looks jaggy and blurred. In the Carenado Bonanza I can't read the GPS text at 1x zoom. If someone would be kind enough to explain all this AA stuff to me I'd be grateful. When i installed P3D V2 on my computer to E: Drive the installation also put 10gb of data on my C: Drive in Program Data.is this for installation and can it be deleted. Have beeen playing around with some settings and once the bugs ironed out is going to blow Fsx etc away in my opinion. So like many of you, I'm currently downloading P3D V2. However, I'm finding my download speeds incredibly slow and wondered if it was the server getting hammered of if I've got it slow my end. Bearing in mind, I'm in the UK. I've been downloading for 5 hours and 25 minutes now with a total of 40% completion at a rate of 200-240K/S. Not amazing at all, but it's still got 6hours left. I understand, big file and probably big hit on the servers, but I've seen people download in a couple of hours...

I seem to have an issue with the reset zoom key (default = backspace) in P3D 2 where instead of resetting the zoom back to the camera default it is setting it to 1.0x. Looking at the Event description for the controls configuration in both FSX and P3D 2 it does say "View - Set to Default - 1x" but in FSX Backspace has always reset the zoom back to the camera default of 0.7x. So the question is, should pressing Backspace reset zoom back to the camera default of 0.7x or should it set it to 1x? If it is supposed to be the camera default of 0.7x does anyone get the issue where that doesn't happen and zoom gets set to 1x? Before I raise it as a bug over at Lockhee…

Just a quick one to seek some more info on the water effects. Someone mentioned in another topic that the water is not animated. That oceans for example don't have animated white caps etc or anything breaking up to shore lines. Is this true? A pic I saw recently showed what seemed to be a pretty lifeless TNCM on approach. Didn't really do much to inspire me to race out and grab V2. Happy to hear from those that have the new version. Cheers, Jas

So there I was, happily flying along at FL320 in my QW 757, enjoying the new scenery I had finally installed, FTX. It was a beautifull day for flying, CAVU and I have to say, the terrain below me was breathtaking. We hit our TD and started a descent into PAKT, seat belts and no smoking signs on, 1500FPM descent rate, 290kts IAS, everything smooth and perfect, not a cloud in the sky........ and then...........about 80nm from PAKT............ screen freeze, FSX totally locked up.... Is good but not great at this point. Great - Graphics Not so great - Interface Nit Noid crap - No taxi lights No TOGO What really is getting to me - Engine 2 Maxes out on startup of the sim. I know its new and they rushed it but for what I paid I am glad I did not get the more expensive version or I would have really been ######!

Ive been trying to find pictures of it but i couldnt seem to find any to get an answer. In FSX, night time was way too bright out and you could easily make out the environment below you and clouds, even when flying in the dead of night over the atlantic. Does P3D V2 simulate night properly? Thank you

Hi everyone, As I am out of the loop as of lately, If I want to purchase P3DV2, which license do I need to purchase in order to get the same thing as I do in FSX? I am tempted by the positive comments I've read about V2. Thanks in advance. Best, Jeff

With some of the workload being passed off to the GPU in V2, will it be necessary to do extreme overclocks to get good frame rates. My rig, a 4820K on a Sabertooth board and a GTX 680 4GB. With FSX, decent frames for me, with my settings and add-ons, comes at 4.6 GHZ. Should I be able to back that overclock down? I'd like this chip to last for awhile.

Hi, I hope Pete is on the Beta team and has his latest version of FSUIPC available on Monday as well. Hate to have the new sim and no ability to link up all my hardware.

Being a KSFO dude, about the only thing that really interests me at this time is the volumetric fog ....yeah, there hasn't been much for here lately, but can someone please share their experience with it and what they used to generate it. Thanx is advance.
