Hi all, A while ago I was being wheelchaired onto a 737 by the co-pilot(!), and I asked him what 737 it was. I was hoping for a number, but the response was (approximately) "This is a baby glass". As the upcoming NGX has the heads-up-visor (display?), perhaps that's what he was referring to? Both my eyes were covered due to recent surgery, so I annoyed my seatmate into describing the shape of the engines. It wasn't the silver bullet (-100) or the -200 or the -300. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance, dan

This is just an observation on the Walk Around Video Made by the AoA Team, Very imperssive, but as a Captain on the B737NG for last 13yrs, the Engine Inlet Probe Caught my eyes.During my walk around of the Real Airplane, I have noticed that Both the Eng Inlet Probe are on the Left-Top-Corner of the Engine, be it Number 1 or 2 Engine, as either engine can be swapped either side ,this is as told to me by our engineering team at the Airline.Over all , I wish to thank the PMDG Team to bring the 737 soo close to the real Machine Capt.Ganesh Tiwari

Gents, I normally don't care much about graphics or sound quality but this time -with the release of the 737NGX- I have the intention to do an effort (within the limitations of my system). So 2 questions: 1) If I want to buy 1 (one) add-on to make FSX generally look better without interfering with IVAO weather, which one should it be? 2) Does the 737NGX (or FSX in general) support more than stereo sound? Is it worth to buy a 2.1 or a 5.1 kit? Best Regards,Bert Van Bulck asus P7P55D DeluxeIntel 80Gb X25-M V2 34NMi7 860 @ 3.83GHzMSI 58702 x MSI 5570

Hi folks! As soon as the NGX is released (hopefully soon) I want to simulate a realistic ferry-flight from boeing field to someplace in Germany (maybe FRA or MUC). - is the maximum range really sufficient without pax and cargo to commence the flight non-stop?- If the maximum range isn't sufficient for this route, where is the fuel-stop? - Iceland? and what could the routing be like? (NAT??) Thanks in advance for your answers. Take care and I hope we'll receive a notice about the release of the NGX soon.

Can anyone on the beta team advise as to how icing is handled in the NGX? I'm not expecting much in the way of airframe icing simulation, but is engine icing simulated

Hi, For all you wing nuts out there. Here is a shot from the captain's seat of the wing. You can barely see it because of the cabin door obstructing the view.Oh and the first officer just confirmed that the ground power cart has been rolled out and connected. Enjoy...

PMDG 737 NGX psychological exam As you are all well aware 737 pilots must first pass a psychological test before they're allowed to fly. Since the NGX will be as real as it can get i think it's only fair to take this before release day. You should only have the honor of flying such a complex aircraft when you can keep your cool and can take responsibilty: So here we go: 1.Have you ever started a thread/topic in this forum without first spending some time on searching for existing conversations about similar or even the same subjects? 2.Have you ever, in this forum, exaggerated your knowledge on certain topics, or even bluff, with the sole purpose to try winning an argumen…

Hello. I'm not sure if this is strictly the right place for this but here we go anyway. I'm looking to buy a whole new set of everything (throttles, yoke, rudder and monitor). The reason I put this in this forum is because I want it to be the best for the PMDG 737NGX specifically. Whilst I don't have a single set budget as such, I can't get the expensive ultra-brilliant stuff such as http://www.737yoke.com/products.php or http://shop.revolution-simproducts.com/category.php?id_category=5 (however much I want to). I found this: http://www.throttletek.com/ for the yoke and throttle quadrant, is that good? As I said I am also looking for a new set of rudder pedals and monitor…

Hi folks, I've been a 2-D panel pilot for a long time, but I must admit the AOA videos are making me appreciate the value of the 3-D panel more and more. I feel I may have to transition over in time for the NGX. A few queries: 1. One hesitation to the transition is losing frame-rates in an already frame-hungry game. Generally, I find that frame-rates are poorer in 3-D: this is probably a hard fact, and I doubt much can be done about this, correct?2. Also, I'm also intrigued with the value TrackIR seems to add to the simulation. The movement seems to be smoother than anything that can be accomplished with a joystick. Do any of you TrackIR owners notice a further frame-rate…

Hi all,In preparation of the NGX, I've decided to buy TrackIR and wondered if you guys could advise if I should get v4.0 or v5.0. Should I be mindful of anything else before the purchase? Many thanks

XBox gamer dies from blood clot after marathon sessonhttp://www.foxnews.c...test=latestnews Could this be coming to flight simmers? The release of the long awaited PMDG 737NGX could result in an outbreak of DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) cases due to the simmer's inability to get up out of his virtual captains seat, caused by the acute NGX addiction! Upon release of the NGX, I'm not expecting to see daylight for weeks! ;) ;)

...but I just have to ask it. How will the NGX run on my system? Intel Core i3-2100 @ 3.1 GHz (Dual Core) nVidia GTX 550 Ti Kingston HyperX 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 The rest (mobo, case, etc.) doesn't matter. Ideally, I would have gotten an i7-2600K paired with a GTX 570 fpr my custom build, which I KNEW would run the NGX well. But I was on a budget, and this is what I had to come up with... and with me having no experience in PMDG before (never owned a PMDG product), I just have to know. Sorry for maybe pissing off all the old-time members that have probably seen this type of thread a lot...

For those of us who have not had the time to fully learn the detailed FMC programming etc. will it be possible to load a 737 at a gate with it's engines running, pushback, taxi and take-off and fly the bird? RegardsKen
