PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. Started by Wilbert,

I have been watching with interest the excitement and anticipatation of the release of this new 737NGX. I have been simming since it began. If I am not mistaken, I kinda remember back in 2005, the release of the "B747 Queen Of The Skies". I believe also that PMDG was using some of the AVSIM servers. The download demand was so great, it brought AVSIM down. Does anyone else remember this? Anyway, I too, am looking forward to this new A/C and other new addons for FSX. FSX with all the wonderful addons today is nothing like the FSX when it first was released. Best flightsimming to all . . . . .

Yes I know, the NGX will -hopefully- be in our hands soon, but there's plenty of discussion on what the frames will be like on the NGX. Of course, there's this idea that it will run on-par/better than the MD-11, but there's never been any solid confirmation from BETA testers and PMDG themselves. However, upon reading some of the comments on the Angle of Attack 737NGX staging area, there's some indication on what kind of frame rate we'll see on this bird. John Brian Sommers And this was the reply from Chris Palmer: I don't know what help this will be for you, but I'm hoping someone can relate to it! :)

Greetings Pilots, I am Zoolander64. A host over at DigitalThemePark. DigitalThemePark is a multi-gaming community of virtual citizens. It provides organization and congregation of folks through the use Voice-over IP (TeamSpeak 3), while promoting the interests of gaming, software, and hardware. All this at no cost to the citizen (Even free to host your flight group/club/team, etc). Using TeamSpeak 3, find us at ts3.digitalthemepark.com Now that the shameless plug is out of the way, I would like to invite all pilots to gather, virtually, for live conversation during the release of PMDG's 737. For the more social types, I think it may be fun to have us talking "online" thr…

I'm not one to post youtube video links, as there is no shortage of them and they are easy to search for if you know what you are looking for.But with the advent of the HUD in the forthcoming NGX, I thought I'd share a nice video on short final to touchdown in a 737-800 at KLAX.Hopefully it will inspire you to adapt to this new technology, and I am very excited to learn about it and put it to use, especially in bad weather or night conditions!

  6. Hi all, We've just released another video: http://www.flyaoamedia.com/aoa/nicks-737ngx-takeoff/ It's just under 50 minutes long, features a quick preflight prior to a raw data takeoff from London Gatwick. I then talk a little about the Yaw Damper - a simple explanation but it shows off some of the finer points of PMDG's simulation nicely. Enjoy!

Right, I'm just curious, will the NGX HGS have any options to it's lay-out? For example, I've been watching the NGX HUD-landing vid, and there's one thing in particular I missed from it. I know that Scandinavian Airlines has a ruwnay-drawing in their HGS, in other words, they can actually see the runway itself drawn on the HGS, even though it's not visible due to fog or other meteorogical events. Will this be possible with the NGX? It's just a small detail that I'd really like to try, and I wouldn't be disappointed if it's not there, considering the severe complexity of this add-on. But still, it would be a nice addition to the other hundreds of thousands small almost (st…

Ok. Literally. STOP.Take your hand OFF of the mouse.Place both hands gently in your lap. (DO IT!) Ok - now breath in deeply through your nose......hold... ...hold......and exhale fully through your mouth.... --- Now that I have your attention, might I recommend everyone do the same thing whenever they feel the need to hit F5 on the PMDG website for the time being. First off, let me preface this by saying that PMDG's reputation for quality, complexity, and thoroughness with their addon airplanes is quite unparalleled. They are indeed in the top echelon of developers and would undoubtedly rank as a justified number one for many of you reading along. That being said... Wha…

Guys, I have a great question to ask yourself about the product 737NGX that will be released shortly. In this product you can share the cockpit with another person? That is impossible as the MD11 does not match the movimeti in both PCs, will be the same for the 737? It is proving to be the best product so far, let us not grieve because they share the same flight on IVAO or VATSIM is a need for many users to get a more realistic simulation. I'm beginning to think we will not see the release of the NGX today. I'm fine either way. My thinking is that there's no one on the forum from PMDG, so I think they are all still hard at work getting the product finalised and Robert is not quite yet at the point where he is happy to say "go". If they need more time to get it right, so be it. Just my $0.02c.

Hi My reason for starting this thread in case someone was wondering, I could not help to see that PMDG 737NGX is filed under support forum and thetopics in the thread is more about the huge big release and so forth, not indirect support related to the aircraft (not yet released) As we all are looking forward to the huge release, might i suggest one thing that might improve this forum? Removal of all topics and threads not directly related to NGX support, might make the forum a lot more cleaner to navigate inwhen we finally have bought the airplane. Suffice to say, the aircraft will be perfect of course he he, but nevertheless, in case of some sort of child diseases (on…
