Hey guys. I was planning on a weekend away to visit my dad after an operation this weekend but that has fell through. So I will be around this weekend if anyone would like get together for a Vatsim flight. We could meet up on TS. I can try and answer some questions if anyone has any about the 737. Dear Team, Amazing effort on the NGX. Currently carrying out a short flight and wow... What can I say? Nothing... well almost nothing. It seems I experience slight pauses, they last for a second or so and have an interval of around 59 seconds to a 1 minute between. Other than that everything runs silky smooth. As far as I know my Direct X is all up to date as are my net frameworks and windows is up to date aswell, including drivers. I'm hoping its something my end that maybe I haven't done in regards to my system but I thought it worth a mention as I'm sure there will be an easy fix for this. My Set-up. If I have gone directly to my \fsx\ folder and set fsx.exe to run as administrator do I need to change start menu entries and desktop icons too, or will 'run as admin' just work now no matter how I launch fsx.exe ? ThanksGary

Just flew my first pattern around LGSR - Santorini with the PMDG 737NGX. The past days I was doing a little VFR island hopping tour where I was "flying myself" from Athens to Rhodes to do my simulated NGX acceptance flights there, but the release caught me in Santorini so LGSR got the honours :( So, first impression: The gentleman who did the AoO vids is absolutely right! Hello to All, after installation i want to merge some liverys. Unfortunately, i cant merge liverys because nothing happens after i press the button "install liverys". No further window is opened.Is there a bug or have anyone a workaraound. Greetings Lars

Hi Vin, Thanks for the latest update. I managed to download the NGX to my computer this morning before I left for work (In India). As I will be home for lunch and plan to install it on my machine, will I be able to do so as you have just said that the e-commerce and support sections have been taken off line. Will I have to wait for them to come back on line, or can I go ahead and run the install in about 2 hours time ? I'm still working out how to fly the big planes, so I followed the tutorial. Great work, PMDG! I've been following a few of these tutorials, and this is the first one that actually taught me something and allowed me to finish a full flight first go. Most of the other ones I've done for other 737s have required a bit of work to finish. However, a couple of small things. First, the SIDs/STARs aren't actually in the document as promised on page 15. Second, I couldn't get the HGS working following the instructions in the tutorial. Mind you, I haven't been able to get it working full stop, so I suspect operator error. The error was reported on my Win7 64 up-to-date system, upon first then every time activating the add-on menu. Fixed in the usual way (replace the FSX folder dll copy with the Vista dll version). Otherwise smooth install, congarts to Robert, Vince and their crews, and to the whole FS community..

When I try to use the repaint manager to load the new paints I downloaded I get an error message that says "Aircraft.cfg file is Read-Only! Would you like to remove the Read-Only status?" I just pressed cancel and haven't done anything since. I looked in the manual but it didn't say anything about that error message so I just want to know if I should go ahead and press Yes and continue? Here is a shot. Sean Campbell

I downloaded both of these liveries and when I went to install them it said that one was already installed so I just cancelled the other being the Austrian. I opened the AA paint in DXTBmp and it was an AA paint. I then opened the Livery Manager and removed the AA paint and installed the Austrian paint and when I when into the 800WL folder it was also texture.AA with the same contents of the AA paint I had installed earlier. Hi, First of all thank you PMDG for this already wonderful aircraft! It really flies smooth and I've not got a good computer, even though I just have it for a few days New one to arrive in a few weeks So I have downloaded the 7378900 NGX this morning and have succesfully installed it. I do have some problems too, they might be easy to resolve or it's just my mistake. - I can't get the lights to work? Not with pressing the 'L' button and it neither works when I want to activate them in the VC.- In the 747-400X you had a few buttons in the cockpit and each one was to open something, like the FMC, are those in the NGX or how do I open it? Well, having just come off my first flight to San Diego, I feel I should share somethings from my trip. I have never, in my life, experienced an addon that made me really feel like I was really flying, but the NGX puts me in the cockpit. I am not sure if it is the lights that actually shade parts of the VC, the audio pack that actually has a sound for every singe event that could ever possible happen, or the fact that my 30+ FPS and great handling allow to fly the aircraft down on to the runway. I just downloaded my NGX and got in to the VC and loved it!! Then I go outside for a look and see my tail and engines are plain black! I downloaded the Delta livery and they were black so I went to the default PMDG livery and the Tail and Engines are still a flat black on every model! What do I do?? I dont think it affects anything but the looks, but still i'd expect something like this to happen on a free download definately not on the NGX! Please help if you can.

Hi, Didn't want this to get lost in the other topic. For those interested, here is a manual fix for the manager 900WL install problem.OK, I see what happened. The manager installs the aircraft to the 900 directory but does not add the liveries to the 900 aircraft.cfg file, that's why the aircraft never show in FSX. I guess in a way that's good because you don't have to erase anything in the 900 aircraft.cfg file.I manually fixed the problem by moving the livery folders from the 900 into the 900WL folders. Once that was complete, I manually edited the 900WL aircraft.cfg file and added the aircraft.Everything is good now.
