PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    I have done a couple of autolands and have noticed the plane floats a fair way down the runway before it settles. This floating charateristic is one that the 737NG exhibits but is exagerated by individuals who manually approach at too higher speed or flare to early. I would have thought that when autolanding the aircraft would plant on the runway rather that float. I realise that this topic has been posted but I would like to know if anyone else has noticed this during an autoland. I have version 1.00.3057 which is the original installer with SP1 incorporated.This is not an issue for me I'm just curious.

    Hey Guys I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong or what but I'd appreciate some help. I have everything setup for Takeoff, O/H panel, FMC, lower ped and MCP all set ready to go.. Lined up on runway throttles advanced to 40% N1 TO/GA pressed and the Grand Lady leaps into action. barrelling down the runway we reach 80 knots plus and suddenly all engines drop back to 40% N1 and take off is aborted. I've tried to reason what I may be doing wrong but can't work it out. I've had no problem until I installed HF4. When SP1 came out deleted everything and reinstalled but still looses throttle 85 knots. Anybody any idea?Thanks

  3. Okay out of 30+ plus flights this has only happened to me once before today. 1st Time I just wrote it off as a glitch. When it happened today I spent some time tracking down solutions. Was sitting at the gate at NFFN setting up for a flight to NTAA. Setup the whole flight ready to push back. Take the Blocks off ready to push. On a whim I put my parking brake on after the chocks were off to make sure my brakes were good. Nope, the red FSX Brake Light would not stay steady so I knew my brakes were gone. I even pushed back and started up and moved the plane and used my toe brakes and yep they were gone. I tried the following things..... 1) Exit Flight, Reload flight - FAIL 2…

    I was approaching SJC after a double leg LGA-SLC and then SLC-SJC w/o restarting the sim and on approach the AT light flashed intermittently at first and then it flashed constantly. The AT was very sluggish, in fact so much so I had to disconnect. I also attempted to disconnect the AP and it would not disconnect with my x key. I had to manually disconnect it with the switch. Interestingly enough I had the cmd "A" fail on the leg from LGA to SLC (real service based failure) so I was on "B" for the rest of the time. Could this be a PMDG creative airplane fluke in the electronics, related to the other ASP failure or might this be a bug? This thing is so realistic I cannot te…

    The autopilot light remains on, but the VNAV switch disengages and the aircraft will just randomly start climbing. This happened 3 times in flight. SP1 is installed as well as the 600/700 expansion.edit: This also happens when I use the space bar and mouse to look around the cockpit. at this point the yoke will pull back. (mouse yoke is off, I checked)

    Now that SP1 has been released, is there any information or plans towards releasing this on disc in addition to the download option? As I recall from a while back, the staff said this was going to happen but not until SP1 had been completed. Thanks.

    Since I got the 600/700 add on, I have noticed that during VNAV climb, the airplane starts an overspeed at around 30,000 feet. It just stays on 315 knots instead of switching to .80. I didn't have this problem with the base package. Am I doing something wrong? Also, I also find that the VNAV descent is a little more agressive than the 800/900. Is this normal?Thanks!

    I installed sp1 yesterday and am loving it. RSR mentioned that now the baggage carts while at the gate should recognize when the cargo doors open, but I tried this at egll (I have airport vehicles at medium but there was a baggage vehicle) and it didn't seem to work. I even opened both cargo doors and the vehicle didn't move. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone confirm if it is working for them?

    After installing the SP1 for the 737NGX I noticed that the view from the cockpit (not virtual cockpit, just the view with the 2D panel) is pointing towards the ground.On take-off roll and landing I can barely see what's up ahead. Also during climb-out with a pitch-up-attitude of approx. 15 - 20 degrees it almost looks like I'm in a horizontal flight.I've unistalled the 737NGX, deleted all the PMDG folders from the FSX directory, reinstalled the 737NGX and the SP1, but still I get this annoying view.Apart from this I'm also undergoing several CTD's with the 737NGX, but I really want this problem solved first!PH-XRE

  12. Folks,The PMDG 737NGX -600/700 Paint Kit has been updated and re-uploaded for all of you to download. I must - publicly- apologize for the major screw up, in my haste to get everything squared away for the NGX -600/700 release and a misunderstanding with our painter, I included some -800/900 PSDs in the kit.As of right now, the kit has the correct master fuselage crop regions, wing emergency exit markings (single arrows) and the correct window alpha transparencies, all specific to the -600/700.You may re-download the paint kit and paint away to your heart's desire...Again I apologize for the screw up, now RSR has called me to the gallows so off I go...Regards,

    So I finally get a day off work. I sit down on the computer and first things first I uninstall the NGX as per instructions. I then go to check my email and click my download link again to re-install the NGX and prepare to apply the SP1Then all of a suddon!..."Download Link Expired"Epic, Epic, Fail!!!Please Help PMDG, I've also submitted a ticket!

    Hi Captains,I know that in a poor argument but I see something wrong ( prob my side ) with stairs and doors.From FMC doors i cannot see anymore airstairs command. About the doors, there are also cargo doors that should be displayed ? I had stairs command before SP1. Thanks for helpFrancesco

    I'm very seriously considering laying out the $95 for the entire NGX package, but am afraid of poor performance.I'm wondering if someone can give me an honest comparison of framerates between the NGX, 747, and JS4100 as I own the 747 and JS4100.As I am entirely aware of system and other addon differences, just a simple plus or minus X-amount of frames on your system would be great.Thanks!

    A guy from my VA was lucky enough to get a ride on the jumpseat and he took a bunch of interesting pictures. One of the pictures displayed a different style nav radio than the ones im used to from 737ngs.     After installing SP1 I see the following strange effect (that I don’t think I had previously): after selecting a (PMDG-)panel state (e.g. CLDDRK) to load on the 3D FMS, the panel state loads, but the FMS continues to show "Loading panel state..." and is unresponsive to further input. It is necessary to pop the FMS out and back in before it shows the normal top menu, and is responsive to key presses.

  23. Hello,Before installing SP1, when at flaps 15, and engine N1 below 40 or somewhat percent, I got a warning sound. Lowering gear was the thing to do.Now, after installing SP1, I already have this warning sound at flaps 5.Is this some kind of company option I missed?I'd like to go back to flaps 15...Bert Van Bulck

    I did a quick circuit at Funchal Madeira and after landing with autobrakes set to 3, I slowed to 60 kts disengaged the autobrake continued manual braking, stowed the speed brakes and flaps and then during taxi to the gate the engines refused to idle properly, instead remaining at 33% N1.The only way to get them to idle was by pressing F1.Then every time I increased thrust to maintain taxi speed, when throttling back to idle with my Saitek the engines would return to 33% N1. I can increase thrust normally with my Joystick but I can't reduce past 33% I checked out my Saitek X52 pro settings and tested them, everything seems fine.
