Hello! I just got the PDMG 737NGX and tested it. But everything was on. Can you start the flight with everything shut off? ^_^

Hi Guys could you advise pls as I am confused. Just purchased pmfg737ngx checked the web site and there are 3 or 4 updates which one should be used for max performance using win 7 64bit system.

Does anyone have a good source for looking up preferred routes? (I looked at myfsim but their lists are not sorted and incomplete. No Las Vegas of all things to be missing.) Thanks...

Hey guys well finally got TRACK IR and EZDOK to work and i'm ready to go but one problem is stopping me and thats the HUD! For the green stuff, speed tape etc will only fit when i'm zoomed out at 0.30 i'm trying to use the PMDG advice at 0.60 but the green stuff doesn't fit in the glass its too big i need to zoom right out at 0.3 atleast to get it to fit? Thanks zimmers!!!

Afternoon Gents, Was wondering how do I change the center radio console I can change the auto pilot consol from Honeywell and back via the FMC but not the center radio consol, I've seen plenty of Youtube videos with the blue/white read outs mine is Orange and would like to change any ideas? I try to take off according to the tutorial #1 ( Gatwick to Amsterdam ) but without success. The tutorials claims to smoothly rotate ( around 2 to 3 degrees per sec ) toward a goal of 15 degrees.Follow the flight director command bar to maintain V2 + 20 knots. All data are exactly as tutorial #2 recommends. ( Load,PerfInit etc ) I tried as follows : a) Rotate smoothly but without exceeding 15 degrees. Result: the speed rapidly exceeds V2 + 20 knots ( 158 knots ) and increases up to 190 knots and then descends. b) When trying to maintain a speed of 158 knots I have to increase towards 30 degrees ! I have a quick question. I just started using fs2crew and starting up cold and dark 737. I start everything up and go through the checklists, but I can't get my radar to pop up. It says "map" in yellow in the center and does not show my heading or course heading for autopilot. Also I set up the FMC and that also does not show up when I plug in my route for my flight. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Hello there Gents, Was wondering how do I change the radio console? at the moment all the read outs are in orange but after watching youtube videos I've noticed that they are running with blue which I prefer but unable to find out how to change this, I can change the auto pilot consoles to Honeywel and back but not the center radio shack any ideas?

I want to start out my flight with my BBJ sitting on the ramp of a bizjet FBO at KLAX...I've tried to input its IRS position in the CDU but it seems all it wants is an airport ID code and optionally a Gate number. How can I input a lat/long string so my BBJ is positioned correctly at the target FBO? Thanks...

When I enter the gross weight into the FMC I get an error message saying FSX has experienced an error and needs to close. This has only happened to me with the 2D panel. It hasn't happened in the VC (yet). Any deas?

Hello, I have a problem that is really infuriating me. After having been able to fly different Versions of PMDG737-800 and -700 for a lot of flights for some reason I do not understand engine one has no throttle after starting the engine. What can I do to be able to fly again? I have installed FSX Acceleration, FSUIPC, FSINN and on a second PC ActiveSky Evolution, TOPCAT and FSCommander 9.3. As hardware I use CH Yoke, Pedals and Quadrant. The latest Installation was TrackIR, but also with this I was able to fly several times. Several hours (!) of flight preparation have already been in vain up to now because when I start the engines no.1 will not work. I …

Hello, didn't find too much using the search so far. I am unsure about what speeds are displayed during G/A (esp referring to magenta bug). Say I shoot a (manual) ILS and hit TOGA at 200' RA, flaps go back to 15, gear up on positive rate. The magenta bug is not going to exactly any flap maneuvering speed but it just goes somewhere in between. When and how am I supposed to clean up? Normal acceleration altitude as I would use on takeoff? Do I just select UP speed? Because the magenta bug somewhat increases whenever I just start to retract the flaps, and I still don't understand the values it points to. So I have been flying the ngx for some time now and suddenly the autobrake wont arm. If I set it on 2 for an example no light becomes illuminated. Immediatly after touchdown the 'autobrake disarm' light becomes illuminated, this forces me to use manual breaking. I honestly have no idea what caused this because last week this problem didn't occur. Any ideas :rolleyes:

The last two ILS approaches I've made into Las Vegas airport, on short final, the autopilot has made an automatic go around...what causes this? My TACS is set to TA/RA and I've heard a TCAS warning...was that the reason for the auto-go around? If so, how do I inhibit that from happening...at this stage in my learning process I don't want to have to deal with automatic missed approaches because of traffic alerts. Thanks...

I was wondernig for the people who don't have a thrust lever that goes into reverse which buttons they use to activate reverse thrust. For example I have a throttle but it only goes to idle and then I have to press F2 to activate reverse - I have tried mapping a key on the throttle through fsx to actvate reverse thrust but I have to press it continuously meaning it takes a good few seconds for revers to activate. Does anyone else have a key mapped on their joystick to activate reverse where they only have to hold the button down and not press it continuously and if so how did you do this? Thanks, Dan

PMDG-737NGX Tutorial 1 page 30 You said 'Press the DEL key at the bottom of the CDU and then press LSK 6R to remove the speed and altitude restrictions'. You need to correct this sentence. It's not LSK 6R, it's LSK 5R. Also, you stated during pre check landing you want us to set the landing minimums by "clicking the outer EFIS control panel MINS knob to its RADIO setting then turning the smaller inner knob down to 100 feet radio altitude". I do not understand where the EFIS is and where to make the change or the knob. Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't the EFIS where the BARO, CTR, RST and STD buttons are? New pc help Hi simmers! I got my new pc build yest and installed fsx with 737 ngx pmdg! My comp specs are below plus monitor! My question is when i load up the 737 ngx the graphics are a bit jaggy looking in the cockpit and not sharp like the videos you see in youtube? For a good portion of my current flight there randomly appeared, a bunch of multicolored boxes. I was wondering if this had something to do with the graphics card memory? Patrick Boynton

Is the ISA Dev setting available in in the weather brief section of PFPX? I heard somebody say it was but I can't see where is is? Also I have heard that ISA DEV this isn't simulated at the moment? IE it won't effect the shallowness of decent, like the winds aloft would in that section? Jools

Hello, i have bought PMDG 737, 3 days ago. And for other addons like Captain sim, im making flightplands with fsx game vor to vor. And enabling them in captain sim planes fmc´s. But i have detected that PMDG using other flightplan format. Im looking, but cant find a Flight plan maker who can make flight plans for PMDG also. But i want a quick one. I have tried FSC, a friend owned it, but that´s not for me, you need to make it on your own. I want a flight plan, where you just can write example from Dubai to Bangkok, Cruise altitude and vor to vor etc. And it will generate a route for you? Or at least I'm a bit worried. In the read me file it says: Ok that's good, but there are folders in there already called SimObject/Airplanes. Is it really saying drag the files into the relevant folders. If I just extract it will it overwrite all the other aircraft? (not that I fly anything else) Bit of a newbee question I know.
