LINDA Support

Hi guys, I have recently completed a full reinstall of FSX and Win7, which has been a gruelling process but worth it, I think! Anyway, a lot of those 'silly' issues which were causing problems have now vanished. You know the kind of things, when everything just gets a bit 'flakey' and you can never put your finger on what exactly is the problem. So I'm pretty happy at the moment, BUT the only single issue I'm having is with the elevator trim LCD readout on the VRinsight Boeing 2 MCP with the PMDG NGX. After some additional analysis with the help of Bryan York at FS2Crew, it appears that LINDA is not correctly following the SDK for the Majestic Q400 when scanning for variables. Two cases to consider: 1) The L:RADIO1_SERV_INT_KNOB variable moves from 1 to 0 to 255 and cycles in this way all the time. This is causing FS2Crew to cutout its voice sound while running. 2) MJC_MDA & MJC MINIMUMS also toggles between the set number (1000 in my test) back to zero then 255. Hi I am setting up Linda/FSUIPC for the Q400 reverses. I have the Saitek Throttle Quad and am trying to use the lower buttons you access when you lower the throttles completely. Where would you set up the reverses. Should I be using Linda, or Fsuipc?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx, Tom

Hello, Is anyone using LINDA for the Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel with the A2A Cherokee? Everything on mine works great (using the downloaded configuration module - thank you!), except the battery switch. My Saitek switch has to be rocked from the off to the on position, and then back off before the switch on the aircraft panel toggles on. Then it's the same procedure to turn the panel switch off. (rock the Saitek switch to on and then off.) I initially thought it was something I did when attempting to set up LINDA. (First time user. :wub: ) But I replaced the config*.lua file with a fresh one, and it's still the same. Any suggestions? Thanks, Br…

Hello, i got a Saitek Multi Switch Panel, and now iam testing some Assignments with the Majestic Dash. Is it possible to make Multi Funktions to one Switch with Linda ? For example the Bat. Master Switch on my Saitek Multi Switch Panel to switch the four DC Battery Switches in my Maj Dash at the same time ? Anyone a idea ? Thanks Sorry for my bad English

Hi, I am in the process of wiring and programming my home built Overhead panels. I am using Arduino boards that have been flashed and converted into 70 button joysticks called UnoJoy. LINDA recognises them and I have assigned the light panel switches to be used with the 737NG. all good so far. The problem is when I load the PMDG 737NG, the sim crashes. When I start again with the Arduino disconnected, there are no problems but obviously can't use the panel. I have been using LINDA with my flight Yoke, throttles, etc without any problem for a long time now. so hope someone can help? This may not be a LINDA problem but I have to ask. Hey Guys, I was thinking of purchasing the Saitek line of switch panel, multi panel and radio panel to use with the pmdg 777.I have heard of compatibility issues and i am also aware of SPAD and LINDA. What i would like to know is what limitations would i run into with the radio and multi panel and if SPAD and LINDA can fix those.I have read somewhere that the radio panel is very difficult to set up with the T7.Any idea guys ? Hi guys, i recently formatted my computer, and added it a new hard drive, last time i was running fsx in the C: drive, the same drive as windows, but now im running windows in C; drive and FSX and linda folder are in the D: drive, a separate drive just for fsx and related addons such as linda, or active sky etc. the problem is that now every time i open the linda in the configuration checklist it says "FSUIPC files not found" instead of "Everything is ok", now i suspect that linda is looking for the Fsuipc maybe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X and not in the real location that is D:\Microsoft FSX\Modules, the question is, is the…

Hi all With the work I have been doing with LINDA to produce version 2.0 offering full compatibility with the Boeing MCP and Airbus FCU, I have discovered some anomalies with the way LINDA responds to Joystick button presses. I am seeking feedback from other users so that I can identified where further improvements can be made. For the joystick functions to work it is necessary to have LINDA running. However, I have found one example that requires that the Joystick Tab must be selected. I have generally the same setup on my MCP11 panel but there are variations as you all know between different aircraft and also variations as to what assignments are actually availalbe. So differences between landing lights all on and Left On / Right on /Nose on etc. changes the setup. So the question is how do you keep it all organized. I have thought about flip cards above the assigned buttons on the User control panel to help out. I would be interested in your setp....please post pics if you have them. thanks!

All the keys function properly in Unshifted Mode. Switching to Shifted Mode they work properly also. BUT--LINDA will not return to the Unshifted Mode. When the Global Mode would not revert I tried Local but the same thing happens. Tried a different Shift key with same results. Any solution appreciated. For some reason Linda doesn't detect my joystick even though it says "Everything is ok!" I also get an Invalid pointer operation when opening Linda, anyone have any ideas?

Hi, Is it possible to use LINDA with PFC hardware such as the PFC C2 Pro to configure physical switches on the console so that they work properly in add-on aircraft e.g. the A2A cherokee 180? If not possible, does anybody know how I can go about doing this?

Dear everybody, I use PMDG 737NGX. I have "Everything is ok" in all sections of LINDA, and FSX shows a green message telling LUA module is loaded correctly or something similar, but MCP displays doesn´t change, and the knobs and keys don´t respond. I can´t figure out this problem... Thank you.

Hello all together, hoping for not boring you with a question for MCP2 Combo and the usage of this together with PMDG 777 I would like to ask you for the following Topic: The MCP 2 Combo (Boeing Type) works fine in my configuration (FSX) together with LINDA and the PMDG 737 NGX. After "googling" and searching for possibilities to use this Hardware with the 777 I have tried all the tips in the several Forums. But nevertheless it doesn't work at all. Hi there, first of all..thanks for your hardwork to get this module for us. This works perfectly for most of the functions. Great job. I do have a question, however, about the COM part of the VRInsight MCP with LINDA. Whenever I try to switch from standby frequency to current, it keeps jumping back to the frequency 136.97. For example when I put 122.80 on standby and press <->, it brings me back to 136.97. Therefore I cannot change the com frequency. I tried to reset the buttons but in vain. Can anyone give me a bit education on that please? Many thanks!

Can anyone tell me where FSX knows where the LINDA configuration file (config-mcp2.lua) is located? I set a new aircraft in the aircraft select drop down, but I clicking FSX Sync it jumps back to the previous folder. Please ignore my last. A warning to other LINDA users. You can not have 2 configuration folders in Linda/aircrafts and Linda-cfg/aircrafts that contain the same name as your aircraft (ie. Aerosoft Airbus X and Aerosoft Airbus X new). LINDA will find the first and use its config files.

Hi, just assigned some exterior lights to my saitek throttles that works. Now assigned Cherokee´s AP Cutout button to my saitek yoke. When i press the AP cutout button at the hardware yoke - FSX crashes emidiately. What is wrong here? Kind regards Nico

Good afternoon, I am currently trying to assign certain buttons of the DA Piper Cheyenne either to a joystick/pad (regular and/or Hotas Warthog) or to my Saitek Switch Panel. What works well for most other FSX planes seems to be a problem with my favorite one. Hey guys. Just started using LINDA today and I'm really impressed with it and have begin assign intents for PMDG 737 NGX except there one assignment left which I am struggling with. I are a command NGX APU START OR SHOW. I assigned that to a switch for apu to start but nothing happens when I activate that switch. When I assigned OFF to another switch it worked fine.
