LINDA Support

Hi ! I'm begining using LINDA, and have my first question I have 2 groups of controllers, for 2 main kind of aircrafts: 1) Aircrafts with stick (mainly millitary fighters and helicopters) For these kind of aircraft I use HOTAS Warthog + TM MFD Cougar + SAitek Pedals 2) Aircrafts with Yoke For these kind of aircraft I use Saitek Proflight Yoke + Aditional Quadrant + MCP Combo Panel I + Saitek Pedals The only controller which is always connected are the pedals. Apart from that I'm always switching from one hardware configuration to the other depending on the aircraft I fly Until now my approach was having on FSUIPC.ini for each configuration …

Hello there, I am thinking about purchasing a VRInsight FCU Combo panel for using with the Aerosoft Airbuses. (318/319/320/321) Now I am asking how do you have assign (layout) all the buttons on the panel to work at best with the Airbuses. Maybe you can post a picture of your layout (s)? Would be great for me to know in advance Many thanks in advance. (BTW - using the FCU Combo + Linda together with Prepar3D will not give any problems??) Have a nice weekend

Hi Is it possible to setup the realityxp gns 530 in the duke when I try to assign a button to an action from the realltyxp.lib I get an error message to say can't find folder or files linda\aircrafts\RealAir Duke v2\config-mcp.lua In my aircraft Duke folder I have actions.lua indent.lua lib-realityxp.lua Thanks Andy

Hi, I have almost completed my Overhead for the 737 cockpit i'm building. Using the PMDG 737NGX and LINDA. Great program by the way! I don't have any problems really until it's time for coffee..... I can't seem to find the option to assign the cabin call button in LINDA. I used it before when I had the older software installed. Is it included in the latest version? Not at my sim at the moment so not sure which version In am using!! Oh... The only other button I can't find an assignment for is the annunciator test switch on the MIP. Not a major problem but would love to see the sim lit up like a Christmas tree!!! Any help here would be great. Th…

Hi I have changed a function in the action.lua for the A2A aircraft to display RPM instead of Horsepower, I know this should be done in the user.lua so it wont be overwritten but I am not sure how to do that, changes as below. I also changed temp units from F to C by changing to a 0 but once again not sure what and how I add this to the LUA so it is a persistent change -- Power (in RPM) EngRPM = round(IPC.readLvar("L:ENG_RPM")) then later on it has IF _MCP2() then UpperInfoLong = "RPM " ETC ETC just not sure how much of the code needs to go into user.lua, hope this makes sense Regards Wayne

Hello I have an MCP2 I have installed Linda 2.5.7 into P3d 2.5 and have one aircraft initialising and working ok, the A2A C182, it initialises and works fine but I get an error when trying to use the A2A c172 and the A2A Cherokee 180, they initialise but I get the below errors. I cant seem to past to this dam site so messages as below Error MCP configs not found for current aircraft linda-cfg/aircrafts/c172/config-mcp2 Lua error Modules\linda/system/common.lua31: attempt to index local actions (A nil Value) Don't understand why it works for the A2A c182 but not these aircraft, any assistance appreciated Wayne

Greetings, I have just reinstalled my operating system and am in the midst of getting all of my applications and data back on. I made a copy of my modules folder before reinstalling. I hoped to make things a bit easier. LINDA starts ok and appears to operate without incident. The issue comes when I close the program. I get the windows message 'check for solution, close ,etc'. After I elect to close the program, I get two error messages. I dismiss those and I get a rude Windows noise. Hello, I just received my VRInsight Airbus FCU. I installed VRIsim. The unit is connected on COM 3. When I open Linda 2.5.7 and try to assign controls, Linda lets me however the FCU stays on the test screen. I need help! I have attached a picture of the Linda Settings page. Hi The display of the executed command on the MCP Combo version 1 Displays with DspShow seems not working since the new versions of LINDA. I dont know when it begin since i dont read myself these displays. One of my friends ask me to test it and i have the same as he has : nothing changed on the displays. Can anybody point me the direction to search why it happen ? Does it works for anybody else ? How does DspShow works ? I dont find the function in the libraries. Thanks for your help. Michel

Hallo, im am a newbee and i have a little problem, on the Vrinsight combo Airbus steyle is a little button named matric alt. I can not find a Linda control to activat this funktion. I have traced the LVars an found 2 LVars by pushing this button at FSX. AB_AP_Metric = 1 AB_AP_Metric = 0 AB_AP_Metric_REL = 1 AB_AP_Metric_REL = 0 I tried to write a funktion but the funktion did not work because i am not the great programmer. Hi Chaps, Firstly its possible I should of posted this in the Majestic forum but thought I'd try here first. I have a issue with the altitude and heading selectors in the Majestic dash8. This only seems to happen on descent or approach but, when i use the rotary knobs on the MCP2 the altitude starts to jump in 1000's of feet randomly. So it might get stuck on 4300 and when i turn the knob it only gives me 5300, 6300, 7300 etc... Similar with the heading, it just jumps in 10's or 12's of degrees or so. If i use the mouse over the knobs in the VC then all is normal and i can fine tune. Its just a bit of a pain when flying online and the workload is g…

I have 4 rotary encoders and 6 potentiometers connected to a Leo Bodnar BU0836A-NC 12-Bit Joystick Controller also several switches connected to a Leo Bodnar BBI-32 Button Box Interface. Using the rotary encoders set for heading bug (slow) + and - etc. Is it possible to use a pressure pad switch connected to the button box interface to use a shifted mode when pressed and unshifted when released. eg. when i push the pressure pad the rotary encoders can switch to (fast) + and -, when the pressure pad is released its back in the slow mode? I have loaded up Linda 2.5.7 (following instructions) and now see the mode switch showing as buttons 9,10, and 11 on the Saitek Yoke page.. I have programmed buton 9 as Shift 1, 10 as Unshifted, and 11 as Shift 2. However, when I move the Yoke Mode from 2 to 1 i.e. going from Unshift to shift 1, nothing happens. The Yoke page does not go to the Shift 1 page and neither do any of the other joystick pages change (I have three Bodnar button boxes set up in the system). The only way to move to a shifted page is to use the Global shift instruction and then I can only access the Shift 1 page. Is this normal or do I need to do something else to make it work. Anyone give me help. I'm trying to setup Linda 1.13 for the PMDG 737NGX for my VRinsight MCP Combo panel version 1. I've installed Linda, assigned my Serial FP2 Com Port 3. It's asking for me to add the line [VRInsight] 1=Com3 To FSUIPC ini file Which I've added to the only file I can see in the modules which is the FSUIPC config file assuming that's the right one ? Where do I go from here FSUIPC and Linda are not picking up the com port. Any idea what I'm doing wrong. Any help appreciated. Thanks Gerry

Hello! This issue is happening to me lately. When I choose in the combo2 to use the DME1/2 function to choose the course of the vor instrument in any plane.. it starts to turn the numbers like crazy.. And it only stops until some time.. Meanwhile any other button in the combo doesn't make any change or function. Only when the crazy turning is stopped (maybe after 30minutes) I have again all the functions back. I have linda 2.0

I got a new Yoke today and started configuring the buttons, when I noticed that the Hat switch only generated a response for the UP position. If I check in FSUIPC all directions are available as joystick buttons. Linda (freshly downloaded 2.5.7) will recognize the Hat switch as such, but only the UP (and CENTER) positions generate a focus in the configuration dialog. Anyone any ideas what might be the problem?

Hi I am trying to find where the Fuel Cut-Off Switch command is in Fsuipc. I am trying to set up some switches to turn them on and off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had a bad load so reinstalled and can't get FSUIPC to open for setup ... which means no OK and no go any further. Linda is nicely resident in the module file with FS ... Any thoughts on how to break the jam? Ken

Hi, LINDA works perfectly for me, there's only one little thing that pops up every time I do a flight : The message in the console reads : exception 20 "data error", ref 2704, index param 1 on write setdata for "adf sound" I use LINDA 2.57 with the 737 NGX. Hallo all, I've got a very small problem: Untill today I was using one usb headset connected to Teamspeak while flying online and one headset on a different computer to communicate with other members of the VA on f.i. an event flight, through a nice piece of software called Mumble (our VA hasn't got a company channel on IVAO). That works fine as long as there's no active ATC to consider. To communicate as well as with ATC as with my fellow pilots on Mumble I use both headsets at the same time: left ear connected to Mumble, right ear to ATC.
