LINDA Support

Folks, I am a 72 year old who has recently [Xmas] been gifted a new VRInsight Airbus Panel. All I am trying to do, initially, is to set up this hardware to be used with, say, the FSX Cessna 172. I also have some Saitek Panels, including the "Autopilot" one and the Multi Switch panel. Now, setting up the VRInsight panel to work with default FSX aircraft and using SPAD Next to drive the Saitek Panels, I expected to be able to, for example, push the AP and Alt buttons on the Saitek panel and see which FCU buttons were invoked. Hi there, This is my first ever post on AVSIM and ofcousre I am posting since I have hit a major road block with LINDA. So I use a VRINSIGHT MCP 2 boeing, was using it with FSX on windows 7 and using the VRsim software as an interface. Everything was fine so far. Few weeks ago I upgraded to a windows 10 and also to the P3D v3 and this is where my problem started. VRSIM has no support for P3D or windows 10 so I had to use LINDA. Maybe someone can help me. I am using an opencockpits USBkeys card (a matrix of 88 key inputs - similar to a keyboard). I am using this card to interface with the opencockpts cdu for use in the 737 NGX in FSX. The card shows up as a HID device in windows7 and FSUIPC sees all the key inputs but LINDA does not recognize the device under joysticks. As a result, I currently have to assign the usbkey card an unused key command (ex. CTRL-SHIFT-q) then have FSUIPC translate that command to perform a function (such as press A on the left pilot cdu). If LINDA saw the card, I could simply press a key and program LINDA to perform the function directly. Is there …

Dear Pilots, I installed Linda the latest version correctly and I start it from the folder modules. My Saitek x-55 was detected and I assigned the buttons, after clicking the save button it shows me a red 'ok!'. On the top the 'FSX logo' is not available, it is in grey and not coloured as it has to be. means it is not active and i am not able to sync my x55 settings with the FSX as well the red ok after saving... I really don't know what to do and I am asking you here for your kind help. Thank you and marry christmas.

I am trying here to do small LUA scripts, after reading a lot about LUA, am still unable to do it. The APU selector switch in 777 has off, on and start positions; in real life you should switch to Start for 5 seconds then release the switch which will go back to on. I am trying to simulate that. I did the following code: function APU_SEL_SWITCH_start_seq () APU_SEL_SWITCH_start () ipc.sleep (5000) APU_SEL_SWITCH_on () end however, in above code there is no any hold for the Start position, the ipc.sleep is just to give a break of 5 seconds. could any one help me with the hold code?

Before I updated LINDA to 2.6.6, I've always used the hat switch on my Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog joystick to control the elevator and aileron trim. Since I'm using the new version, this is no longer possible, because it keeps trimming endlessly. In the settings, it looks like this: In the past, after I for example pressed up on the hat switch and let go, you could see in LINDA that LINDA selected H1: 0 again. Now this doesn't happen anymore and it seems that LINDA keeps sending trim commands. In previous versions of LINDA the text "DO NOT USE" behind H1: 0 wasn't there. Well I have LINDA working great in FSX. I have installed LINDA in P3DV3 and I SEE everything working , (All switches I can see working in LINDA config), however, not one switch does anything in P3DV3 Aerosoft Airbus. I tried wiping out the programming and re-do the switch action. I have Saitek switch panel and throttles that I program. What am I missing? I have the latest LINDA version.

HI all: I have problem with the original MCP Combo. It not works with the PMDG 777. I have the latest version of LInda, but, it is strange cause it works with the PMDG 737NGX. I supuse the problem is with PMDG 777. The linda works with other aircraft, but not with the PMDG 777 (and with aerosoft AXXX, in fact). I don't know if I have to do anything with the aircraft or in the Linda aircraft setup. Any idea.? Thanks. José M. Plasencia.

Hello, Using the Linda console, the fsx control "85636" constantly scrolls in the window. How can i find out what is causing this. I have looked thru some offsets but I cant find 85636. Hi guys, I recently moved to Windows 10 and P3Dv3 and installed the latest LINDA 2.6.6 for my following modules: Saitek Switch Panel Saitek Radio Panel Flightsimpm.co.uk Boeing 737 Lower OH switches (ignition and lights) I also own OpenCockpits MCP and EFIS modules operating with SIOC and OC4BA. Unfortunately, since installing LINDA every time any hardware disconnects and reconnects P3Dv3 crashes with ntdll.dll causing the error. It happens even with OpenCockpits modules disconnected. In addition, I am also stuggling to operate P3D with LINDA, as many times when LINDA fires up, P3D crashes with the same ntdll.dll error. Also, in Windows 10, any time LINDA detects a c…

I wonder if anyone can help to resolve and issue that is occuring for those that use LINDA and the MCPII panel with the Q400 and also use FS2Crew. The problem is that the audio stream from FS2Crew cuts out intermittently in this combination. There is another user with the same setup that is having the same problem. As far as I can see there are no audo volume assignments in my Linda file just the standard COMM setup. Hi, just trying to make the Fcu work with Linda to no avail, nothing happens on the Fcu (it doesn't load Linda, keeps displaying "VrInsight Type v1.100"). In setup everything is okay with the devices and Fsuipc, thought I don't have the registered Fsuipc, is this critical?. Another thing I noticed searching here in the forums is the Aerosoft Module 4.3. I haven't installed it manually yet (I am away from the computer right now) but I thought maybe it already came within the 2.6.4 install. Hi, I am running LINDA v.2.6.4 (149) in Prepar3Dv3 with FSUIPC 4.948 on WIN7. From the beginning it was not very reliable. There were several instances when the assigned buttons didn't work after starting P3D. In these cases LINDA was extremely laggy and hat to be terminated by Task Manager several times. In my linda-cfg\system folder there are several config-hid-yymmddxxxx.lua files (y=year, m=month, d=day, xxxx=four digit number), apparently a new config-hid.lua was created nearly every day, sometimes there are several files in a day. LINDA summary says everything is o.k with Joysticks, listing correctly my HOTAS Warthog Joystick and Throttle and the Saitek Pro Flight …

Hi, whenever I try to assign an FSUIPC Macro to a button, I get the following error end an emptly list: The path is correct and does exist... I'm at a loss I'm running FSX, Linda 2.6.4, FSUIPC 4948, Linda Summary is ok but for the VRInsight. I don't have one and have deleted the lines in the FSUIPC.ini What am I doing wrong? Cheers, Chris

Greetings, I first posted this elsewhere but it was suggested perhaps I had inadvertently invoked something associated with LINDA. This has to do with entries in the LINDA console referring to a lua error associated with icpDebug.lua. I have no idea how or if I invoked something to set this off. I won't bog down the thread with the full text of the thread. when i clock make changing to update my fsuipc i get a message too many devices in your config already. you have to make change yourself. i try plug in each device one at a time. delete fsx config files and have fsx re build the file, still get this message help hervy galloway

Hi all, I'd be extremely grateful if someone could help me. I'm not at all a professional on Linda but am desperately trying to get on the right side of the drag curve. I've downloaded and bought the latest FSUIPC, installed it as per all the instructions and have it set with my Hotas x55, saitek panels, etc. Linda reads and seems to green light the buttons, but for some reason I just can't FSX to actually perform said actions! I'm really hoping its a silly and easy issue to fix, please help me with any input. Regards

Hi, I'm using a VRI MCP2 Airbus device with Prepar3D 2.5, FSUIPC 4.939n, LINDA 2.6.3 and PMDG 737NGX. Occasionally the MCP2 locks up while flying (no idea why), and the only way to recover it is turning off/on the device and restarting Prepar3D. I tried other combinations as restarting LINDA, reloading the Lua engine but none works. Have anyone experienced this problem ? Thanks,

Hello, I got P3Dv3 and the latest version of LINDA, the airbus (318, 320) aswell as the 4.3 module. I set all my buttons but when I go back to the sim and want to takeoff, I see the speed increasing on the PFD but the airplane itself stands still. From outside view you can see the wheels spinning but the aircraft itself is "freezed" Am I doing something wrong here or is there any trick? thank you!

I am trying to cut and paste in the Linda editor (ver 2.6) I can neither cut Ctrl+c nor paste Ctrl+p. I have now deleted version 2.6 and loaded ver 1.13 but I still cannot cut and paste. I must be doing something wrong but I can't figure what. I highlight the text I want to cut/paste with the shift and arrow keys, I then press CtrlC (I have tried both upper and lower case) I then place the curser at the desired pasting spot but CtrlP produces nothing. There is a thread on this subject with a link that sounded like it might be useful but the link is no longer active. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Norman West

I think I have set up correct my Linda. Linda v 2.6.3 and Airbus module 4.2 v3 Im using port 4 . I have tested Vri Sim Read/ Write , and everything seems to be right. No Errors in Linda Console. BUT, My FCU combo displays still says VrInsight Type v1.100 , It doesn´t load Linda ??? Can someone check my FSUIPC. INI and Linda 2.0 log Chris from Denmark....used almost 10 hours today for solving the issue :(

Hi everybody, I have been using FSX for a long time and really learned to appreciate Linda's functions. I have now switched to Prepar3D which is much more stable, than FSX. Everything has been set up and works very nicely. Linda has also been installed and is working well with my A2A C172. Today I started to programme my Duke B60 V2 and this did not work so well. After looking more into Linda I saw, that no matter which plane was using, it always showed the Carenado Bonanza as active plane. Therefore I am not really sure any more, if the A2A really worked with Linda, or if it was pure luck. Does anybody have some experience yet in working with Linda and Prepar3D …
