LINDA Support

I have the Aerosoft Airbus A320/A321, Linda version 4.3, and this Aerosoft Airbus 4.3 module and the latest version of Prepar3d. When I open the Airbus in Prepar3d, and Linda, I see "Aerosoft Airbus" in the dropdown menu when I hit "FSX sync." However, my attempt to assign any commands using my Saitek Multi Panel are fruitless. For instance, when I hit the "AP" button on my panel, I see it selected in Linda, but when I assign it the "Autopilot AP1 toggle" function and save it, it does nothing in Prepar3d.

Hi, I assign the three functions related (on, off & auto) to switches but there is no action. The other functions do work well. I'm using Linda 2.8.3 and he PMDG 737 NGX 4.5 module. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance, Jose

Hi, I have found the variable "ngx_switch_104_a" (and a lot of them changing the number) across a lot of functions defined in the PMDG 737 NGX 4.5 module. What are they for, how can be used and where can I find a list with the descriptions of all of them (from ngx_switch_1_a to ngx_switch_999_a)? Thanks in advance, Jose

I am trying to seet up the CAB UTIL toggle and the IFE/PASS SEAT toggle in LINDA. according to PMDG, the offset is 69637 and 69638 respectively. The problem is that neither of htese numbers exists in LINDA. I know I will probably have to use the LINDA editor to do this but have extremely limited experience using this. Anyone having any experience with this, I would really appreciate hearing from you

I have PREPAR3D v3 installed, along with my cockpit that mostly uses the SAITEK equipment (york / Mult / Radio / swicht / pedals), also have a board of Starget NG controlling my overhead. I have installed LINDA 2.8.2 with FSUIPC 4.94c, but unfortunately I can not make the function buttons! I can assign the roles, but nothing happens on the aircraft. I uninstalled all Saitek and SPAD software, but nothing has changed! I'm having a strange issue, Due to WIn10 messing up my pc i have reloaded win7 I have p3d v3.4, Linda 2.8.3 i think and the latest fsuipc. I use the pmdg 777 200, 300 F and 737 I have saved flights in these aircraft. I use the excellent Linda modules found here. When i start the 777F all is well and my key ,mappings work. If i load the 777 200 or 300 Linda syas it is loading the correct lua but the mappings do not work Linda shows it has the lua file for the 777 selected but the module says it is using default aircraft. If i then re-sync the selected module updates to the 777. I then reload the lua engine and all works. The same happens wi…

Hello, I'm flying with Boeing MCP COMBO 2 and 737 NGX module. All is working fine apart from one thing. Hi I have not kept up to date with the defining and using of 'shift' keys as in the latest version of Linda (v2.8.3), and the manual is now too old to be helpful. My last experience was mainly with earlier Linda v1.13 when only LOCAL SHIFT and GLOBAL SHIFT was defined. Would someone kindly give me a detailed explanation of what all the 'modes' (LOCAL, GLOBAL, UNSHIFTED, SHIFTED ONE, SHIFTED TWO, SHIFT CYCLE) are for in the shifted modes definitions section, what their differencs are, and how you use these to set up a suitable shift key (or keys). I'm trying to setup my Saitek Radio through LINDA, but I'm having some issues. I've got the buttons working, but the displays stay black. Also when I change frequencies, I've got quite a delay between the input from the rotary and the numbers following in the VC. How can I get the displays working and how do I solve the delay between the input and the readout?

Hi all, First, thank you for this great Programm. At the moment i rebuild my 737NGX OVHD Panel. For inputs i will use ARCAZE Moduls . Each Arcaze Modules are configuered as two analog gamepads. I need a minimum of 5 Arcaze Modules (10 HID Devices in LINDA) and my standard HID (Saitek Throttle etc.). I think, if i finish my rebuild i have 20HID Devices. My question: How many devices are supported by LINDA?

Hello, I use Linda since v1. Recently I reinstalled p3d latest version and Linda latest version. Since then I am unable to trigger any function using the generic p3d aircrafts. Using 737ngx no problem. But for example with the baron and my x55 throttle, I select and assign via Linda a switch for gear down, everything seems ok in Linda (switch correctly assigned, no errors messages), but when I push the switch nothing happens. I tried the same with the F22, not better. I reinstalled FSUIPC and Linda but no chance. Any clue ? Thanks a lot Cedric

Hi, I have several Elite Simulation hardware units which connect via USB... Is there anyway LINDA can pick these up,more specifically the Transponder so I can assign a function to thr rotary knob . Dave

Hi guys, I traced down the problem I have and discovered it's related to using LINDA in my P3d V3.3.5. All is installed and reinstalled, setup accordinly, but everytime the P3d crashes when exiting. When disabling LINDA it doesn't occur. Any thought? Thanks, Rafael

I recently installed 2.8.3 and everything works fine except for two problems. (1) First, every time I load an aircraft I get the following error (this example pops up when FSX loads with the default trike): The HID it refers to is a Leo Bodnar BU0836X board, which is plugged in and working correctly. I have reproduced a portion of the config-hid.lua file below and all the button bindings work correctly. This doesn't seem to stop anything working, it's just a pain when it pops up (particularly if I'm in full-screen mode). Hello there. I've recently bought Saitek's Multi Panel. At first, i've directly installed Spad 0.5, but as it was a bit problematic, i've started using spad.neXt, but no matter what i do, i could not change the knob speed. It's flying! Anyhow, i was already using Linda for my DIY Light Panel, seeing that it supports Multi Panel, i wanted to use it solely for both my own panel and for Saitek. However, when i prepare a flight, all i see on Multi Panel are the words on the left side like ALT, VS, HDG. It does not change any value neither on device, nor in the game. Seems like it's disconnected somewhere software-wise. What shall i do ?

Hi, I found in P3D LINDA does save the2D panel position by typing ALT-SHIFT_CTRL_F1. But other than Version 1.1 it does not restore this position when the position is on a 2nd monitor. Also, when I hide the window frame of the undocked window with ALT-SHIFT_CTRL_F3 it is not possible to get the frame back, so the window stuck on its place. ALT-SHIFT_CTRL_F2 to hide the main window frame works as it should. It would be nice if this could work again.

Just wondering if this is normal current LINDA behavoiur? Previous versions, at startup LINDA red text displayed "LINDA is starting". But with version 2.8.3 at startup red text displays "LINDA is Re-Starting". In previous versions I could assign buttons on multiple controllers before saving those assignments in one go. With 2.8.3 I have to save assignments for one controller before LINDA will recognize a button press on a different controller. Thanks, gb.

In P3D by pressing a joystick button, I need to both send a key event (release droppable objects) and activate the smoke-system via an ipc control. It is important that these actions are separate. Can anyone help with this?

OK, at one point I had my MCP cpmbo II working fine with LINDA and FSX. For reasons I don't need to get into I had to re-install everything. Now I just can't get them to play well. I have the latest FSUIPC and it is registered (paid for), and I had the latest version of LINDA, and the FSX Acceleration pack. Com ports are set and verified. When FSX loads, the panel initializes, but then nothing happens, the panel and FSX just weren't talking to each other. I troubleshot this for what seems like an eternity.
