LINDA Support

Hello Folks: This week I got my CS 737 out of the hangar and started to fly it again. Additionaly, once I did not found any LINDA Module for her, I've taken the risky decision to begin my own one. I can tell you it is indeed on course and the main functions I use on my Saitek pannels are already working. However, I have being facing an annoying sequence of LUA engine freezing during the flights and also while in the development process. Key commands just stop responding and I have to reload LUA Engine. It usually happens at least once every 10 min. I have updated to the latest version for P3D v4. Two issues seem to be present. 1) I cannot get the consol to close and remain closed on the next open. I have modified the fsuipc ini file to change from kill to close but the problem remains. 2) I notice that on the main screen it says that FSUIPC not found but LINDA still works. Is this because it is looking for FSUIPC in P3Dv3 when I am running P3Dv4 ? Perhaps the wording of the main screen should be changed to better reflect what LINDA is actually finding fault with.

I have P3DV4 ; FSUIPC 5.102 ; Linda 2.9.6 and VrIsight I have only the default aircrafts from P3DV4 ( no Boeing or Airbus) My problem with Linda is that he do not find any aircraft , he is looking for FSX aircrafts ? Every help is appreciated

When I'm trying to install version 2.9.6 v3 or 2.9.3 v1 into the modules folder it comes up with this. Do you want to copy this folder without encryption. A Problem is preventing this folder from being encrypted. Tried installing in safe mode, same results. Updated FSUIPC to 4.968.

Hi, have been wondering about this for a while.......is it possible to make a LUA do a chime sound when the landing gear is being retracted after takeoff and also when passing thru FL100 ??? Thanks

Hello, as far as I can see, FSUIPC v5 is currently not able to use the PMDG offsets. This means unfortunately, that 747 or 777 have some limited functionality. Some switches do not work as expected or MCP Displays do not whow (the right) values. EDIT: I have an answer from PMDG support desk: "There's a bug in P3Dv4 preventing them from working right now - it'll work after the first v4 patch comes out." Sorry for the inconvenience, Günter

***New to LINDA*** 1st, Downloaded the Aerosoft Airbus X plugin for LINDA and installed. Set up a profile for the Aerosoft AirbusX A321 CFM that works perfectly. Now, I cannot seem to copy it when I go to fly the A319 CFM. It makes it seem like I will need to recreate the same profile for each variation and engine type. Only tried the 319 CFM, didn't try the other versions I have but assuming I will encounter the same problem (blank profile). What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I have the problem that the LED display of my Saitek Multi Panel is not being updated on PMDG aircraft. I have the following setup: All buttons of my Saitek Multi Panel are controlled by LINDA except the rotary knob. Mapping the functions SAI_MULTI_increase_value and SAI_MULTI_decrease_value in LINDA (on Press) causes the rotary knob to be jumpy and with a lot of latency. Instead, I am using SPAD and FSUIPC which gives a much better behavior of the rotary knob. The Multi Panel display is updated and consistent with FSX on my default aircraft. However, on my PMDG aircraft the altitude, heading, etc is correct in FSX in the Virtual Cockpit, but the …

Fixed. I should make better notes. the 99 wasn't the new value. I changed it to 9999 and all is fine. 2.9.6 version has a button timeout problem which was fixed in 2.8.3 by changing the following: You can increase the auto repeat cutoff time by increasing the value 99 in the following lines at Line 377 in handlers-hid.lua (in \linda\system\): if JREPc[jid] > 99 then JREP[jid] = nil JREPc[jid] = 0 _loggg('[hHID] Repeat Reset’) Looked into the file for 2.9.6 and the change is already there. Has the location changed? Need longer repeat time for the DodoSim 206 to startup.

Hello, I have just discovered this wonderful software and thank you so much for creating it! Everything works great except the Saitek Radio Panel. So I tried to disable it and use it with SPAD: it works but the screen of the radio is blinking. How can I fix it / or make the panel work with Linda ? Regards Tim

Hi all. I am struggling to get Linda to make "bigger strokes" when using the X-55 trim buttons (wheel) on the throttle, its painfully slow. I have set up FSUICP according to this thread to make the aileron Trim faster using OFFSET SWORD Increment / Decrement http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=40237#p303155 This works a treat, but as its a button assignment I really want Linda to do this for me not FSUIPC, can anyone help me with the required Linda code please. Hi Andrew, just tried to import a new module. Extracted the download to /Download/Linda and select in LINDA Maintenance the folder ..\Download\Linda\A2A_C172_v1_03\A2A_C172_v1_03 Then I get a error message 20.0 is not a valid floating point value Also I think, it is much easier to extract direct to the LINDA folder, overwriting the included Linda folders, as doing first a temporary unzip. It would be much easier if we could just select the downloaded ZIP

Select --Aircraft-- first Old Ver = Ver 2.8.4.641 (4 Mai 17) New Ver = import Aircraft Module Select Source Folder --> S:\Prepar3Dv3\Modules\linda\aircrafts No aircraft selected Backup/Restore..... That was clear, select my Modules backup folder In my understanding, Source is the folder from where I install new Software, for example I:\Download The "main LINDA Installation folder" in my opinion is the destination, not the source.

Hi, Have an old but reliable MCP 1 and can't get it working with Aerosoft 4.4.3 the fly the Aerosoft Airbus 318/319/320/321. Followed your suggestions in changing to MCP2 Boeing, save and change back to MCP1 in Linda 2.9.3. Also tried suggestion renaming config-mcp2.lua to config-mcp.lua....both did not work. Upgraded to V 2.9.3 from V 2.9.2. In addition to Linda I also use SpadNext. For my setup I need to have the Saitek radio panel disabled in the 'set joystick' section. Since I updated, the setting to disable it is not saving. I have to disable this panel every time I sim. In the previous ver. I disable panel during set up and never have to touch it again. I have gone back to the .2 ver. but would love to use the .3ver. Any Idea how to fix? Thanks in advance.

Hi there. I am new to Linda, its fantastic thank you to the developers. I have assigned the default aircraft buttoms for FSX-S and all is working well, however using the downloaded A2A Spitfire module I cannot get some assignments to work in the aircraft. i.e. Linda correctly identifies A2A Spitfire but when assigning a button for the Spit Starter Start for example, nothing happens, same for Spit Cartridge Reload or Starting Magneto? Hi all, I am hoping there is someone out there who can help me, I am new to Linda and I am just trying to get to grips with LUA scripting so far with no luck at all. I am fine assigning fsx default buttons, but I have built myself an autopilot panel based on the Turbine Duke KFC225 auto pilot. most of the inputs are FSX default but there are three buttons that are not. Hallo, in use LINDA 2.9.3 (496) - FSUIPC 4.964 - LINDA Modul PMDG 747 V3 1.1 from March 2017 the function EVT_YOKE_L_AP_DISC_SWITCH do not work, they shows a FSX help-dialog I have now a new function EVT_YOKE_R_AP_DISC_SWITCH (Yoke of the FO) inserted and they do exactly what they should. function EVT_YOKE_R_AP_DISC_SWITCH () ipc.control(PMDGBaseVariable + 1541, 1) DspShow ("AP", "disc") end Maybe PMDG is involved ? Hi, Unfortunately for some reason I am unable to upload an image so I will explain my issue as best I can. I have a VRInsight MCP Combo 11 Boeing MCP. Since updating to LINDA 2.9.3, I have been getting an extra line of information in the window that displays Com and Nav. It is like this: COM1 21/1386 128.30 129.25 The numbers in the red are the ones that have appeared and they do change. Has anyone any idea what they are there for and why they appeared after updating to LINDA 2.9.3? Thanks Andrew Dixon

I have read Brian 747s excellent Introducing LINDA document multiple times and have followed it. Firstly the required information so I can be helped 1. LINDA application version = Ver 2.9.3 2. LINDA Module Name and Version = MS FSX Default aircrafts Ver 1.0 3. FSX SE. Fresh install. I have FSUIPC (Registered copy) Version 4.964 installed. Hello to all, it has been a while since my last post on this forum, but I recently run into an issue that I could not resolve and therefore wanted to ask for help here. I am using the original VRInsight MCP1 combo with FSX together with LINDA 2.9.3 v1 and registered FSUIPC 4.964. For the Realair Turbine Duke v2, I wanted to reassign the MCP SPD rotary to CRS, which works fine for the input, but on the LCD display output I still get the SPD value and not the value for CRS. My question is whether and how this can be changed? Maybe this a standard question, but I could not find a quick answer by searching this forum. Many thanks, Hans

Hi guys, I'm new to Linda but this post looks promising. However I'm having difficulties getting my Saitek Switch and Radio panels up and running. I've installed the latest Linda and the A2A C172 module 1.0.3. I've checked that there is no more default C172 entry. I've copy pasted as suggested: To apply the default assignments to the panels, copy the contents for the panels in use from config-Saitek.lua to config-hid.lua (both found in /modules/Linda-cfg/FSX Default) Saitek original driver have never been installed, I have run SPAD and SPAD.NEXT, but I make sure they DONT run together with Linda. Hello I have the MCP panel 1 and i use it With airbus x v 1.16. I have linda 1.13 and all is ok. All is green and i've not error in the console. I've reinstall p3d today and i dont know why, my combo is locked when i'm on my aircraft. Speed at 100 and alt 10000. I've not the message "ready" on my panel. All rotaries are locked. Nothing move on my panel when i try to move the rotaries. This config has work before and i don't understand why i've an issue now :( Anyone can help me for unlock my situation ? Many thanks. Panpan.
