LINDA Support

Hallo, bin mal wieder am probieren und bin auf ein Problem gestoßen. Ich habe die LINDA Tracer Option geöffnet und wenn ich mich noch genau erinnern kann bei früheren Linda Versionen, hat man im Linda Consolen Fenster bei aktivieren der "Log FSX Controls" die für das jeweilige Flugzeug, wenn man ein Schalter oder Button bedient hat, sehen können welche Nummer für diesen Schalter oder Button (ich meine damit nicht die Log Lua Events Nummer), zu sehen war (Bsp. Toggle Taxi Light 66240) und dahinter dann dann meistens die Stellungsangabe des Schalters wie 0 oder 100. Irgendwie geht das aber nicht mehr. hi i am very new to this so i installed linda and i am running fsx se and the latest freeware version of fsuipc but when i go to linda it states to start fsx to check the version of fsuipc, but i have started fsx se also when i tried to do a basic landing lights on command with a joystick button that linda has recongised, nothing happens when i press the button to check on fsx. no lights come on.

Hi guys, I got to the point when I really need your help After fighting with LINDA for a couples of days, I still cannot make it work, unfortunately (most probably it's my own stupidity, but anyway) I have FSUIPC 4.853, last version of LINDA, and a couple of planes addons (now favorite one PDMG 737 and A2A 51); none of them is working with LINDA, I make a set up on Warthog in LINDA, save it but in FSX there is nothing happening when i touch any button on my joystick neither on throttle when I use aircraft-specific commands, for ex Eng1 GeneratorSwitch o/off, Battery1Switch on/off etc. using WoP3_P51D set of commands. Hi Andrew, to set VSpeed Data in my MJ Dash8 Pro I use theLUA script V-Speed Calculator LUA 1.2 from ttp://www.twitch.tv/mrroper_75 I have to assign a button or key via FSUIPC calling the lua function "lua Q400VSpeeds" out of the FS Control List. What is the easiest way to assign this via LINDA? I tried copy and paste into the user.lua of the MJ Q400 but no luck none of the functions start the script in the right way. I have just installed latest paid version of FSUIPC and newest LINDA - July 2016. I´m running FSX-SE on Win 10. Everything should be set up, but unfortunately my Multipanel is not working, when I open up a free flight with A2A Piper Cherokee 180. My Saitek yoke and rudder are programmed via FSUICP and works fine. The display lights up red but with no digits, and no knobs are working. It gets its usb power directly from my Imac, and it was working fine before I switched to FSUIPC and Linda (for the default planes with Saitek drivers). The Multipanel is set up correctly with all functions using the drag and drop method. And the controls show up in Linda under "Joyst…

Hi, I installed the Carenado Baron 58 module today but couldn't get it to work. No commands from any of my devices (Saitek Yoke, Saitek Switch Panel and VRi MCP1) make any changes in the aircraft. Actually, it works much better if I remove the module and use the default FSX assignments, many of them work with the Carenado B58. I renamed the file config-mcp.default to config-mcp.lua and copied the Switch Panel assignments from the file config-hid-saitek.lua to the file config-hid.lua (not sure I should do this, but it seemed reasonable to do it). The assigments show up in LINDA, but have no effect in the aircraft. My other aircraft are working fine with LINDA, incl…

Where does LINDA obtain the button assignments for the attached HIDs when it is started. I have six Leo Bodnar cards in my setup. When LINDA is started two of the cards and button assignments always appear correctly. The same two pairs of the remaining four always start with the button assignments appearing for the wrong one of each pair. That is, if we call these four cards in question A,B,C,D the the button assignment for card A is always attached to card B with B's buttons attached to card A. Similarly for cards C and D. The config-hid files for both linda/aircraft and linda-cfg/aircraft show the correct assignments with all the correct serial numbers and LINDA…

When the PMDG 777 speed window is displaying speed in mach #, the function ipc.readLvar("L:ngx_SPDwindow") seems to always return a value of 1 instead of the displayed mach value. However, if the displayed speed is in knots, ipc.readLvar("L:ngx_SPDwindow") returns the correct value. Has anyone had experience with this, or know some other way to read the speed window mach value? Thx, Al

Hi Andrew, the Can not open failure is back. Linda is started by FSUIPC4.ini Any hint is welcome. Stop investigating in this. I made a fresh install of GSX and LINDA works normal. I'll keep an eye on it.

I see there is an option in LINDA's joystick setup page to disable individual devices. This seems to work as expected with the Saitek Radio Panel buttons and knobs, but not with the LED displays. Even with the radio panel 'disabled' in the device list, LINDA continues to display info on the LEDs. As you can probably imagine, this then makes the display flicker between two sets of information when using other software to handle the radio panel. Any advice with this would be appreciated; this is the only issue preventing me from using LINDA again.

Trying to start the Dodo 206 takes awhile. When I press the starter button, Linda 2.8.3 releases the button after about 30 seconds....I'm still pressing the button but Linda has released it. Result: Dodo can't be started. This didn't happen with 2.6.3. With 2.6.3 the button remained pressed as long as I held it.

Hi all, I am using LINDA for key assignment of my Saitek Switchpanel, Saitek Throttle and CH Yoke. It works great. Last month I bought VRinsight Tact and Toggle panel to assign most of overhead panel switches to it. Now I do have some problems with the VR TT panel. Sometimes when a switch is changed, it doesn't get recognized, so nothing happens. It's not specific for a special key and happens occasionally. I as well observed, that when switching e.g. T1 to ON is not recognized, then switching on another switch, the previous switch change e.g. T1 is recognized in addition. Hi guys, I recently purchased a JetMax 737 throttle and I have been using LINDA for a long time now in all of my switch panel modules. I have a problem with using JetMax 737 on Linda, as it sends unvolentary electric pulses, which makes it like all the time a button is being pressed. Therefore, I cannot have access to the other panels I am using, and hence no switch is turning on or off because of that. The only solution to solve it is to delete the throttles completely from the LINDA Joystick list - as I dont really need it anyways. Is there any way to delete a joystick from the LINDA list? Thanks for all helpers (I am using LINDA 2.6.6 btw)

Wie kann ich beim Multipanel von Saitek den Rotary Knopf (Drehknopf) mehrfach belegen, mit nur einer Belegung komme ich nicht weit. Wir haben HDG, NAV, IAS, ALT und VS. Hello, First of all, congrats with the 5 year anniversary. I installed the new Linda 2.8.1v1 after removing all linda files and folders from the Modules folder.(YES, I did back up the aircraft folders). After copying back the linda and linda-cfg aircraft folders, I loaded up FSX-Acc, chose the default Cessna 172, and after loading the flight I started Linda. An error popped up stating that the device config file could not be found, Linda Tracer is grayed out. and the MCP states there is an error (I do not have an MCP). Hi. I just updated P3D, FSUIPC (paid version), and LINDA (new version, thanks!). However, LINDA is not working now. I mean I can see all of my assignments for the Alabeo C404 (copied my backed up folders to the modules folder as instructed in the updated directions), but I can't reload the Lua engine (usually solved any problems I had in the past). Instead, I'm getting a strange error message when I try to reload. The console give me the following message: "[E] *** LUA Error: E:\P3D\Modules\linda.lua:135: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value". Thanks in advance for any and all help. Hi Andrew, just installed the new version and btw congrats to 5 years of great work, I made a fresh install and copied back my Aircraft-files (LINDA and LINDA-Config) I have some user functions an not default assignments. They all seem to work, but they are not shown in the GUI. For example 737NGX CRS. the increase and decrease functions are working, but the GUI says "not assigned". Same to radio panel. The user buttons read 1: Lights Panel toggle but works as decrease autobrake. When I change one assignment and save LINDA writes a config-mcp file without the lua extension. The backup file is correct. Any suggestions? Kind regards Roland

2nd Problem with 2.8.0. using VRInsigt MCP 1 Prep3d v3 when starting a warning comes up with the message "Problem Opening FSUIPC4.ini file" aboard or retry. After retry Linda starts with the problems in my other thread.

Hello LINDA freaks, when I turn on the VRIsightPanel the Panel Lights for Airbus disappears the vertical tail and the cockpit lacks the EFIS and FCU ?? If I turn off the Panel Lights is everything ok again. Greetings Heinz

Hi i hope you may be able to shed some light on this small issue, i have the Vrinsite mcp ver 1 that i am using on Prepar3d v3.3.5 with the PMDG 737 NGX, i have installed the latest ver linda 2.7.0 v1 and that works no problems, using it with the original pmdg 737 file set everything functions correctly and interacts with the aircraft correctly except for the LOC button on the vrinsite, to get that to work i have to assign a command to cwsb button it then works ok, the loc button is working as i have checked it in fsuipc, so i thought i would try the latest pmdg ver 4.5 followed install instructions fired everything up flight sim loaded the panel reported all ok and none …
