I just reconnected my Combo today after having it disconnected for a week. It worked perfectly before. Same PC and no changes. I reinstalled the latest VRI Software and VRI Sim finds it ok. BUT even if I use a different USB slot there is no message that software is installing or new hardware found. LINDA checks are all "ok" with combo on COM 3 but LINDA panel reports that it is unable to open COM 3. I launch plane and Hdg, Alt, radio freq buttons work along with a few others but nothing works with LINDA. If I run VRISim once it is good, but another run and it gets a "no responding" for 15-20 seconds. Any help appreciated Thanks for any help. Neal H FSX Acceleration

All of a sudden, I cannot select a different joystick in the gui in order to edit button assignments. The button assignment gui defaults to the last joystick in the list. If I select another joystick icon, the gui momentarily flashes up the button assignments for that joystick but then reverts back to the last joystick in the list. This behavior makes it a bit difficult to effectively use Linda. About the only thing that I have changed is to update FSUIPC to the latest version. I've tried all of the usual remedies like a re-install of Linda Etc. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hello, I found Linda when trying to get my VRI CDU working. Linda did not help but anyway it was a great finding for finetuning my yoke and throttle quadrant. I like it a lot. But suddenly one of my PMDG 737NGX planes is no longer correctly recognized by Linda. In the cases I load the Boeing 737-700 Linda will load the FSX Default Aircraft module instead of PMDG 737NGX. It had worked previously and it still is working with the 737-600 as well as the 737-800. What can I do? Best regards Michael

Is it possible that the LINDA profile for the PMDG 737 is interfering with the function of the AP. For the past two flights with the NGX I have been unable to turn on the auotpilot. I press the CMD button on the VRInsight panel or mouse click on the NGX panel and the green light flashes very briefly and then turns off. Today I turned off the VRInsight hardware and then finally was able to get the AP to engage. Any ideas?

Hi ... for some time i have been using a voice activation programme to create my own no-frills virtual co-pilot... voice commands generate standard FSX keystokes which in turn operate controls ... This is OK as far as it goes but as you will all be aware there are planes e.g. PMDG JS41 that can't be controlled using standard keystrokes ... i have no room for hardware such as GoFlight etc so wonder can voice commands be converted to panel commands using Linda functions?? ... Greetings I was hoping I could get some advice on a keypad to use with LINDA. I would like to be able to assign functions to a keyboard (overhead, main panel, etc). I realize I can assign keystrokes, but that opens up the possibility of clashes with other key combinations. Furthermore, it is a rather cumbersome process. Is anyone using a device that is seen as a game controller in Windows and thus can be programmed with LINDA? I have looked at X-Keys and it appears to have hardware based emulation so it can be used as a joystick. The keys are also relegendable, but that requires pulling keys when changing aircraft. I also looked at Enterpad from Centeq. It is…

To guenseli : Now Avsim is back, I hope you can help me out with this LINDA problem on VRi COMBO for A2A C172. As I told you at A2A forum, I am from Belgium and my German is worse then my English. My problem is that wit LINDA and the VRi COMBO I never had problems to configure the buttons (eg. the user buttons) for PMDG NGX or for default C172 FSX. With A2A C172 it seems I cannot configure the buttons with the same procedure I used for the other aircrafts. As you already suggested, it makes no difference if in LINDA I go for Record keypress or for Set FSX Control or for LIB A2A ... it seems as if the changes do not apply, even if I SAVE after the modification. …

I recently started experimenting with Linda and I encountered some problems in key affectation. Some combination of keys are not recognized. For instance I use a lot combination like CTRL-SHIFT-R, CTRL-SHIFT-5, CTRL-SHIFT-3 and CTRL-SHIFT-4 to select different views in EZCA. None of those 3 keys combination seems to work in Linda even if EZCA react correctly to them through direct keyboard input or if I use a button on my CH Yoke via FSUIPC button programming facilities to generate the CTRL SHIFT combinations. I read somewhere in a forum thread that Linda can be tricky with complex shifted keys (Alt, Ctrl, Shift combination) assignment. Is somebody can confirm if …

Hello, Latelly I am suffering a bug that makes me mad. All is correct in MCP with linda... but suddently not doing anything special.. just flying, it stops the interaction with FSX. There is no advise about it.. just the MCP stays frozen.. and change in any value or botton don't make any change in MCP combo 2 so no change in FSX. This can happen several hours after good function... Don't know what it can be.. in the console of linda, don't appear anything special. Not saying that is linda.. Just asking if anyone has the same problem to guide me in the path to the solution Thanks!

Hi. I have been using Linda/FSUIPC with the ifly 737ng. Linda 1.13/ifly module version 2, and iflytofsuipc. and the VRI boeing 2 combo, and Saitek TQ. When I assign the flaps/throttle/spoiler axis in FSUIPC all is good and joystick calabaration is fine. However, the Flaps axis will not work in the ifly. I have a modules folder without Linda and when I assign Flaps to the ifly using this folder all is ok, so the problem appears to be LINDA. All other Axis work fine, and even if I assign flaps to another axis on my TQ the result is the same. Any Ideas?? Im stumped on this one. Thanks in advance for any help Happy Flying Ken

There has been an update for the A2A C172, Core 1.6 (which also is an update for a few other A2A planes). I have a button on my joystick to toggle the C172's flood light. For this I used the default FSX Cabin lights option (using LINDA's interface obviously), although there also is a A2A C172 specific Flood light option which does the same. However, since that Core 1.6 update the toggle always turns off ALL other lights too! The toggle itself does work, the flood light goes on and off, but whenever another light switch is one, the first press of the toggle button turns of that light. It doesn't turn them on, only off. I tried to assign the A2A C172 specific option to the …

I am using Linda with the MCP Combo 2 and Ifly 737. Everything appears to work OK except the heading display on the A/P. The figures on the Combi display and the screen A/P display move when the knob is turned but they do not correspond with each other. I am using Linda 1.11, iflytofsuipc 2.03, Ifly 737 3.1 and fsuipc4 4.924a. Can anybody help please, Thanks, Richard Halton

I have to ask about the shift function. It has been a long time since I've used it. I can't seem to remember what I'm doing wrong. I believe that Global shifts all controllers and Local shifts only on the controller that contains the shift button. I have setup a button on my joystick to Global Shift. All of my functional buttons are on my throttle. To summarize: -joystick button 2 GLOBAL SHIFT (On Press). When I check the shifted box at top right the joystick button 2 is empty. -buttons 1 - 12 on throttle are assigned (On Press). -buttons 1 - 12 on throttle (shifted) are assigned to 12 different functions (On Press). I don't seem to be able to activate th…

Hello, recently I bought the VRInsight CDU I. UnfortunatelyI could not find the PMDG 737NGX for FSX. I managed to get the CDU running partly, introducing keys and numbers into the CDU in edit mode. The LSKs and function keys on the CDU did not work. I searched the forums for a solution and by the way I found LINDA. I like it a lot dealing with my CH yoke and throttle quadrant. But I could not yet get the CDU coming alive with LINDA. Could it be that LINDA does not support the CDU from VRI although it does support the MCP Combo from VRI? Or can anybody point me to a workaround to adress the CDU keys for Input. The output is already available by the PMDG…

Most of the aircraft I fly use the standard "Beacon", "Strobe", "Cabin" etc light variables from FSX. This appears to be in FSUIPC offset "0D0C", one bit per light. The function: ipc.setbitsUW("0D0C", 2) for example does successfuly turn the beacon light on. However, the corresponding function: ipc.clearbitsUW("0D0C", 2) turns off ALL the lights in offset "0D0C" I have tested with other lights in the offset and the same behavior with ip.clearbitsUW Is this a bug in FSX, an issue with the offsets, or an IPC function that is not working as it should? Thanks for a great application and great support. Henry

Moderators please delete if you don't feel this topic discussion belongs here for info. I know there is a vri forum also. I know this is a LINDA forum but since most MCP owners may look through here for help. FYI I received my new MCPII, hooked up everything and when I turned it on the yellow back lighting would just flash very briefly every second but the unit never initialized and the blue displays never lit up. I cycled the power switch multiple times until finally it started. This became a routine "Never knowing how may cycles of the power switch it would take". Doing this could not be good for the unit. To me it seemed like it was not get…

I installed LINDA today (because I can't handle FSUIPC on its own) but now I get a LINDA console onscreen whenever I start P3D v2 AND a LUA message that LINDA has loaded when I start a flight. I test things every now and then with P3D by loading a paused flight and it seems that the LUA message stays onscreen as long as the sim is paused and so I can't make the screenshots I want for my test. Of course I don't test that often but still, I don't like (as in hate ^_^ ) popup messages. There MUST be a way to get rid of this all? I want that console to start minimized and I don't want that LUA message at all. Anyone knows how to get that done?
