Voice Control Version

Hello, I use GSX, I've noticed that FS2Crew only opens the front left passenger door and the cargo doors automatically. Is there anyway to tell FS2Crew to also open the aft left passenger door? Currently I'm having to open this door manually, it would be nice if both passenger doors were operated automatically. Loving the product, can't fly without it!

  3. Hi I am new to this program. I got it to work and it is great, however, there is a problem. The checklists and procedures are fine but when I say "runway entry procedures" and enter the runway, I loose so much frame rates that FSX starts to lag. It lags almost all the way to my destination but gets better near landing. Why is this happening? My windows 7 is north american and my speech recog is in us-english. If I fly without fs2crew there is no framerate problem but flights become bland without a FO. This problem is keeping me from buying the emergency and other Fs2crew products. Please help me!!!!!!!! Thanks

Bryan, I am a little confused as to how FS2Crew handles the doors in combination with AES. I read on the FS2Crew manual: "AES: If using AES, select 'Yes'. If 'Yes' selected, FS2Crew not control either the doors or the air bridge. Special Note: If using GSX, also select AES to 'Yes' since GSX and AES are very similar." Thus I should select 'No' in order to have the doors automatically controlled by FS2Crew? My setting up to now has been 'Yes', but that way I have to manually open/close the doors, AES does not do anything concerning the doors. Is AES supposed to open/close the doors? Thank you.

Hi, Went to use FS2crew today and realized that my voice recognition would not initialize. I installed system mechanic 11 last week and I am thinking that is the culprit. I read another thread in these forums that system mechanic damages windows SAPI interface in the registry. I wasn't sure if the newest version of system mechanic still does that or do I have something else going on? I am still able to run the speech recognition in windows and it picks up my voice just fine.

Hi... After reading many reviews I finally went ahead and got fscrew for my ngx. It downloaded and installed fine. However, when i launched the config it doesnt recognize that my sp1c is installed. It will not enable the voice or button control programs. I get an error that it cannot rewrite the panel.cfg. I have reinstalled the sp1c and the fscrew, also i have taken off the UAC like it suggests. Still it wont see that i, in fact, do have the service pack installed. Any suggestions to clear up this matter would be greatly appreciated Thanks

  11. Although being a long time FS2Crew for NGX user I haven't had the volume for cabin announcements turned up until now since I've previously been using another program for cabin announcements. Now when using FS2Crew's cabin crew announcements one thing I noticed is it seems if you will hear the cabin crew announce in-flight entertainment and meal and beverage services that seems to be dependant on the length of your flight, is that correct? Reason I ask is I've mostly been doing rather short flights lately and during these flights I can't remember hearing the cabin crew announce in-flight entertainment and meal and beverage services but now when doing a little bit l…

  12. Hi everybody, I am facing a problem after landing when the FO is doing his after landing flow. The moment he brings the Autobrakes to the Off-Position, the aircraft instantly stops because of the parking brake being set. This is weird because neither I have a keyboard button assigned for the parking brake in FS, nor is one assigned in the NGX's settings. Pressing my brake pedals once releases the brake once again and I can continue taxiing. Thank youforyour help. Best regards from Germany Bjoern Siepmann

  13. Hi, I cannot figure out how to assign soft mute to a joystick button: If I assign a button to the propeller sync, then it gets pressed and immediately released even though I keep the joystick button pressed down. This means that soft mutes turn off, then immediately off again. If I do the same with a keyboard key, then the mute stays on until I release the button again. How do I set it up so that the soft mute stays on while a joystick button is pressed? Helge

This problem to my 737 started when I installed the 767 voice version. I setup everything and start my flight. When I call for preflight checklist I can see that what I am saying is correct with the text at the top but FS2 Crew does not reply. I found out that if I open the main panel and using the arrow keys, I can move to another step and then return to Preflight Checklist, call for checklist, and everything goes as normal. Later, when I want the before start procedure, I have to advance to another step, return and then FS2Crew will continue. I have to do this for every checklist throughout the flight but other than that, everything works normally. I hav…

  15. Right now I migrated to a Windows Server 2008 r2 and as many know server does not have speech recognition. There are some ways to pass speech recognition from win7 over to r2 but I cant seem to get them working. Now my question is how does FS2Crew Voice control interact with speech recognition? does it read the files where the voice recognition is stored, does it actually use the engine itself or what? Please help me here because I really want to use voice control. Thanks!!

  16. I find it very convenient to have these commands where you can have the FO repeat the last item especially when you sometimes are interrupted by online ATC for example in the middle of running through a checklist with the FO. However I've noticed that you can't just say the command to have the FO repeat the last item but you must always add "Check" (might work with some other response like "Set" as well) before the FO actually will repeat the last command. Is this on purpose? IMHO it would feel more natural if the FO would repeat the last item directly after you ask him to do so.

Hey Bryan! One minor thing you maybe could include if not too much work in a future update is for the FO to confirm when you've asked him to switch the taxi light ON/OFF since he currently will perform the action but all silent.

Hi, i use the right FO seat very often, because i use a left hand Throttle system (TM HOTAS Warthog). It is possible that fs2crew interact with the NGX from the left seat. I mean the Captain is the Pilot not flying. thanks

  20. I have a couple of questions when having FS2Crew to handle the doors automatically. 1. Is FS2Crew supposed to close the L1 door before gate departure and if so what is the trigger for that to happen? 2. Is FS2Crew supposed to close the L1 door after gate arrival and when the PAX has deboarded the a/c and if so what is the trigger for that to happen? Up until now I've been handling the doors manually but thought I would try to let FS2Crew handle them. What I've found on the few flights I've made so far it doesn't seem FS2Crew will close the L1 door before p/b but I have to do this manually. The cargo doors on the other hand are closed automatically. On gate…

Hello, could it possible do open all doors if AES is checked in the CFG panel? Everytime I have do open the L2,R1 and the R2 doors for the Catering/Cleaning personal. I only ask as it would reduce the workload slightly.

  22. I just convinced an online friend of mine flying the NGX without FS2Crew is almost a sin  and now he wants to know exactly which version he should go for. I'm using the Emergency pack for the NGX but as I understand it looking at the homepage this is only an addon for the main product which would be FS2Crew Special Bundle pack or the Captains set - is that correct? That would mean he should go for the Special Bundle pack which includes both the button and voice control version of FS2Crew for NGX and then if he wants he can add the Emergency pack later on if he wants. Is it not possible no longer to only buy the voice edition of FS2Crew for NGX since he will only…

OK, you can disregard from my post above - found the update announcement on the FS2Crew homepage.

When I call for gear up, the FO puts the gear up but he continues to say gear up until I give some other command. Also, the same thing happens with flaps 2. Upon approach to landing I get some crazy action with the flaps. I call for flaps 5, the FO acknowledges flaps 5 and then he may call for flaps up or just keep saying flaps 5. Flaps 10 is impossible because when I call for flaps 10 he says flaps 2 or flaps up. Any advice or suggestions? I have gone thru the speech recognition setup several times in an effort to teach but nothing seems to solve. Off topic, can someone tell me where the search feature is in AVSIM forum? thanks

Looks like a screwed up my panel.cfg file in regards to FS2Crew's main panel click spot in the v/c after running PMDG's Performance Manager. I do like to have the click spot rather than using a shoutcut so could someone who knows what needs to be in panel.cfg for the main panel click spot to work in the v/c please let me know and I'll add it manually. I did try to simply reinstall FS2Crew hoping that would add anything missing like this click spot but same problem remains after the reinstallation.
