I realize this is related to the voice recognition engine in windows and not FS2Crew, but has anyone a tip how to make FS2Crew realize I say "on" and not "armed"?! I've run through the software to train the computer to understand my voice better a few times but to no avail. I try and say "on" in a myriad of ways - slow, fast, low voice, high pitched etc. Just in 1 out of perhaps 15 attempts I succeed. On the other hand, if I sigh, draw air or exhail or yawn - it recognizes it as "on". argh.... I know I can say "check" instead but it's not the way I want to do it. "On" is the only word I have difficulties with. I have the same problem whether I use my Logitech USB …

Dear Team! I´m using FS2CREW voice edition for the PMDG737NGX. I´m having two issues: 1.) when pushing either CTRL Key, FS2CREW momentarily selects "SOFT MUTE", which is confirmed in the FS2CREW Status Window as well ( red "M" ). I seem to be unable to unselect CTRL in FSX settings menu for "soft mute". 2.) FS2CREW is not remembering Regional settings ( US / UK / EU ). Everytime I start FSX / FS2CREW, "US" is selected. Also, I always have to select my Headset within the CFG Menu... Any suggestions on that? Best regards Toto

Hi Bryan, I'm having problems trying to get FS2Crew to use my headset. In the configuration I have my 'Plantronics Gamecom 780' enabled but to no avail. The F.O. is still coming through my main speakers. I only use my headset for comms. Any suggestions please?

Hi Yorkie! Long time no speak/write. Just a quick one: I set FSX settings to "Metric - Metres/Millbars" and Latitude & Longitude "Southern - Eastern" for Australia. I've noticed that the Metric setting (at least for me) plays around with the FO and in particular his callout for transition. eg: I've set the transition altitudes correctly (takeoff & descent forecast ) within the CDU/FMC (ie 10,000). The FO doesn't call Transition Altitude until around 32,000ft. I've tested this 3 times now with the same result. I've also uninstalled & reinstalled NGX & Emergency. If I switch FSX back to "US System" FO callouts are AOK. Any…

I have been using FS2Crew voice control for the 737NGX since it was released - totally changed my flying experience. Seeing how well the NGX version worked I picked up the AirbusX version. Great product but what I like better about it is the Help button that brings a message on the screen of what the trigger is to move on to the next check list. Any chance this feature could be incorporated into the NGX version? Thanks Kevin

Weeks of flying crash free and now I am back on the Merry Go-Round again... ARGH. SCENARIO: FSX continues to crash while at KABQ - Albuquerque New Mexico and the crash is in the same place every time. After the FO gets back from the walk around and he starts to adjust the altitude settings on the upper panel, WHAM, "The exception unknown software exception (0x0000000d) occurred in the application at location 0x71298aa0" Every time, like clock work. I have tried 3 times now and it's catching fire every time. RUNNING ADD-ONS: The following add-ons are working along side FS2Crew and ALWAYS do on my flights; FSPAX, GSX, VoxATC, Shade, MegaSceneryEarth …

Hi all, I've been operating the voice control version on my NGX without any problems for at least a year (Win 7 platform). Yesterday, I allowed windows update to update a whole load of stuff including security and .NET things (I think) It also installed IE10 as I was previously using 8. The first time I go to fly following this, FS2Crew seems to have forgotten it's settings - i.e. I have the American voice rather than EU. Also, and more importantly, it can't seem to recognise half of what I'm saying to it - particularly numbers. I can't ask for a radio frequency or a heading without it being completely mis-heard as something else! I have made sure that my mi…

For some reason when I give a select command A instruction, the FO says he has selected it, but when I look a few moments later I notice it is not on. This has messed my departure up a few times?

Hello Byork, is there a way to avoid the copilot from turning on the doom lights? I have looked into the manuals and in the .ini file, but didn't found anything (maybe I'm blind)... Thank you in advance!

I having a crash in the config manager V2.0 I have just reinstalled windows 7 64 and everything and am almost finished with my FSX installations (there are many) but now when I install Fs2Crew and get to the config manager and select either voice or button control the whole thing crashes with this message... Hello Again! As I said in the other topic, wonderful piece of work. I am having one strange problem, and it maybe my fault, but I am not sure. I always start my flights Cold&Dark. So as soon as I hit PF and all starts to come alive, the very first thing I do is set the IRS selector to NAV (both). Well, here is the problem: some times, for a reason I do not yet understand, I do get the set IRS line in the FMC and, of course, not having it does not allow me to fly. The strange part is that I always do things exactly the same way, that is, as soon as I start my flow I set the selectors ro NAV. Most of the times, it works (the message to set IRS appears on…

Sorry if this has been asked before. I have been using button version fro a long time now but I was getting a but fed up of my FS2Crew voice and my ATC voice being different. No matter how much I tried I could not find a voice to match, so I thought now is the time to go vocal. Bought myself a shiny new headset with microphone, built up the courage and set to training my computer. I then went an got VoxATC as I thought that would have a higher learning curve then FS2Crew as I am already familiar with that. A few flights in and my ATC understands me no problem and all go well. It was then when I changed over to the voice version of the NGX. A few changes in the panel.c…

After a long time of using voice control utility i've encountered such a problem. Suddenly disappeared FO altitude callouts during final approach (500ft, approaching minimums, minimums) reinstalling didn't help. What can it be?

My appologies if this has been asked, but should I be able to initiate the departure breif by simply saying "Are you ready for the departure brief"? My understanding is that I should be able to and terminate it with "Any questions"? but this is not working for me. Or am I wrong and I need to just bring up the departure brief pannel and click the button. Everything else seems to work for the Voice activation from start to finish exept for this one thing. I am updated to 2.3 and followed the install instructions and reloaded the service pack when asked to do so. The sim runs fine. i53570K, nvidia 660 oc, 4 gig mem, 128 gig ssd, 3 tb hd (FSX is on the 3 tb drive). Thanks f…

Hello Everybody, It took me a few weeks since introduced by a friend to FS2Crew to finally purchase it. Not that I thought FS2Crew was not fantastic or anything: I am just a 40+ yo PP who does not understand too much of computer stuff. I am a fairly good aviator, but awful on computer stuff. This is the reason I sometimes avoid complex add-ons, as wonderful as they might be. But I finally made up my mind and bought it yesterday. Well, my fears materialized and I am stuck. First, I just found out AFTER I bought that speech recognition on windows 7 only works on W7 Ultimate. My PC runs Professional!! This should be said way early to avoid problems like mine. Wil…

What I have and what i'm trying to achieve is the following: I have: A pair of Logitech speakers A good headset with microphone I want to achieve the following sound set up if possible? All sounds to come out of the speakers. Aircraft engines and ambient sounds, warning sounds, radio sounds, FS2crew FO & cabin crew voices including all ambient sounds ie passengers loading etc Through my headphones I just want the FS2Crew stuff to come through and the aircraft warning systems and radio sounds if possible but not the aircraft engines and ambient sounds. I remember the older version of FS2Crew (the one for the FS2002 PMDG 737) had the feature of monitored approaches. Looking through the Boeing latest NP and FCTM there is no separate procedure to be done in low visibility. Was this not Boeing procedure but local SOP for some airline or was it in the old Boeing documents and removed now? Basically the question is what happened to monitored approaches in real life and why were they removed? What do you do now in low visibility? Does the PF (assuming no HGS) use the instruments until minimums and at minimums look outside for a second then go around? Thanks, Eric

Hello. I'm having a bit of a problem with the voice version of FS2crew. The flow procedures and checklists work perfectly but when the Start Crew/Engine start comes on and I try to contact the ground crew via "Cockpit to ground" phrase, no response is given. Things i have done are: FLT switches ON: Service Interphone is OFF: I have also tried with the SVT switches ON and Service Interphone ON and still nothing happens. The program does recognise the phrase correctly, as I trained it to do so and the green back shows "Captain: Cockpit to ground" message. I'm completely lost, so any help will be much appreciated. After I installed the PMDG 777, my NGX voice version of FS2Crew does not respond, when I click on the area in the gauge to open the configuration. I uninstalled FS2Crew and reinstalled, but still have no response. In concluded that it is related to the 777 installation because it was working fine before that. Any ideas?
