Voice Control Version

I have used this programme before successfully but having had to re-install I'm having problems. Having re-installed FS2Crew, I uninstalled and re-installed the 737NGX. To make sure I had the latest NGX files I downloaded the base and expansion packs from the PMDG site and installed them. Having enabled voice control in the Crew configurator and fired up the NGX, when that has initialized I start FS2Crew. The green bar says "FS2Crew voice control started!" and then in the Crew display it says SDK error and a voice says the PMDG 737NGX has not initialized - but it has! Hi folks, I am using the PMDG 737NGX with SP1C and the FS2Crew 2.3 (not the reboot one) special Bundle. I have several 3rd party liveries installed. Now when I am flying offline with the Free Flight mode, I have no issues at all...I chose the 737 with a custom livery and everything is okay. I also checked all the FS2Crew tweaks, 2D Cockpit, the command line inside of that .INI file which I don't remember anymore now and the Default NGX Startup state as default. Hi guys, I have seen related posts but this one may be slightly different. I have been running the NGX on the old FSX for some time along with FS2Crew voice and I have been having a great time with it. My NGX is the boxed version and I came across the Aerosoft site update for it. I uninstalled the old NGX and installed the new one. I thought it was version D but the aircraft.cfg identifies it as Build 1.10.6461. It could be version D as the weather radar is working. Just reinstalled NGX package and now, although the cockpit views are fine the exterior views are sort of "skeletonized". No fuselage... just wings. I know I've seen this addressed before but a search did turn anything up. Also when reinstalling my acft liveries I get an error message saying "The file C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Aircraft\PMDG737-800\texture\pmdg_airstairs.bmp could not be opened." For some strange reason, I cannot set the MCP altitude to 35100 using a voice command. I have tried "Set altitude 3 5 1 hundred" but I get ignored. (despite the words being correctly interpreted and displayed by the recognition software) "Set altitude 3 5 zero hundred" gives me 35000 and works fine as does "Set Altitude 3 5 thousand" Am I to use the "Set Flight Level" command instead ? as this appears to work.

I am experiencing an issue with FS2Crew Voice that is driving me nuts. Every time I say something and it is processed with the voice recognition I get a long stutter. While in critical phases of flight or taxiing and doing checklists this is very distracting and very damaging. Is this normal or is there a way to fix the issue?

hi, ciao please, I reinstalled,fs2crew but this time it does not work anymore good as the first time. in the first installation fs2crew was able to understand or read everityng I speak but now he recognizes only few sentence, phrases. ex. yes, flap one five fac , but the rest he dont recognizes any. what is the problem? can you help me? thanks

I have FS2Crew installed on FSX-SE with the NGX and it works with the following exceptions. 1) Startup message that it has not initialized properly is played. 2) Everything else seems work well except on some checklist items the FO says "Are you sure about that" or "Better check that" even though the item is set correctly. He also says we are not configured properly for engine start. Anyone else having these issues? have you been able to fix? Now I know the reboot is in the works but I am trying to get it working now. thanks,

So I had to get a new PC, old one just wasnt working anymore. Re-install FSX into this new rig, got the chance to fly the NGX again after a while, got the Emergency upgrade and was going to try that out. I get into the 737-800 and the VC hotspot to pull up the FS2Crew control panel was not working. I was still able to pull up the panel from the drop down menus so it is not a 'show-stopper' but I just wonder what could have gone wrong here. I use TrackIR/EzDok I dunno if that would do something, I found that EzDok sometimes caused the camera to go 'behind' the captains head rest and made it impossible to interact with the VC, but this is not what this is. Hi Bryan, I am wondering if the current version of FS2Crew for the NGX will work with PMDG's SP1d which is due to be released very "soon". I'm not talking about Steam, just the regular FSX version. Thanks and best regards, Stefan

I've been away from simming and have come back to it now that I have some free time. I've migrated to P3D v2.5 and am having problems running FS2Crew configuration manager after installing it because I don't have FSX installed. Can this be made to work? If so, what do I need to do? Thanks John

Sorry if I am being silly. My Voice control 737 seems to be set up correctly: it is the US English v8, and when I start the plane I set it up in 2d mode. The Voice button is on and if I speak, the words appear on the green bar. BUT once the checklists appear, they do not progress automatically, as the commands cease to be answered by the FO after the initial "lets set up" message. It sticks at Pre-flight checklist. I must be doing something wrong but I cannot see what. Ian Harrison

Hi there, I have recently purchased a set of Razer Kraken 7.1 Surround Sound Headet for gaming. I throught i would try it out with FSX tonight. So far the issue i am having is that FS2CREW will not recognise the voice from the mic at all, all the windows applications including voice recognition etc work. the troubleshooting steps i have taken are as follows. hi, as soon I start or open fscrew2 voice control in the pmdg 737, appear the message: SDK ERROR, and then the voice tel to me that: warning the pmdg737 faild initialising or something like that. but everyting after works good. the only thing that does not work, is the comunication with the graund service. I follow all the instruction and the tutorial but even if I turn on the button for comunication, nothing happen. can you help me please? if it is possible in italian altrimenti I'll try to make do. thanks...

I would like to install FS2 Crew into the PMDG 737NGX, which I bought with the P3D installer. Your product page says your PMDG NGX version is supported for FSX only. However you clearly are used to it being installed into P3Dv2xxx Could you or somebody please point me to any tips and tricks needed to get the installation right. I would be most grateful....

Hi Bryan, are you able to elaborate on all the features you're planning on implementing into the ngx reboot? I ask this as I have a short list of things I'd like to request but don't want to pre-empt what you're already planning on.

Just getting to grips with FS2Crew, so far so good, but I thought that the cabin crew announcements & passenger voices when boarding should be heard. Is this the case, as I don't hear them, although all comms with FO are excellent? TonyM

What do i need to do to fix this I am using the Standalone Steam Version of FSX I order the fs2crew from justflight

On the last couple of flights the voice recognition has stopped working mid-flight so when I'm about to ask the FO if he's ready for the approach brief I don't get a reply. When this has happened I have enabled DSP to see if FS2Crew recognizes what I say and nothing show up. I've now discovered that I can fix this by disabling/enabling voice. Any ideas what might cause this?

I have set a panel up just like the long state panel, except i have the APU for air and external power for the AC busses. When i click on RUN PF (APU/EXT) and once the FO gets to the fuel pump part, he should switch on or leave on the left wing fuel pump but he doesn't he switches it off, but if its off he leaves it off, and doesn't switch it on. same for my. But he switches on the centre pumps if fuel is above 1000lbs or 453 kg ? can someone explain this thanks

Most of my TA in the uk are 6000ft so when i have the TA set for 6000ft in the PERF INIT and my first assigned alt for my SID is 6000ft, my FO then resets my altimiter to STD and this causes my alt to decr or incr making me above or below my alt. Is there a workaround for this? Or can you add in the next update for a voice command to reset the alimiters?

Help please? No controls working either. Selected 'Headset' in the cfg and although showing, the sounds still coming through my speakers. #Not happy
