Voice Control Version

Seems like it's not always possible to have FS2Crew save the positions for the volume knobs. In my case I would like to keep both of the knobs as seen below but after a restart of FSX they will not keep this position. However if I increase or decrease the volume a bit they will both "remember" the position. Is there any trick to get around this?

Hello Bryan, long time no see. I have a very weird issue and just wanted to ask if you have any clue what might be causing this. What happens is that when starting FS2Crew at the very same moment I click the clickspot the volume of my microphone drops down to 18%, I normally have it set at 75%. I have tried several different settings like unchecking the option in Windows 7 to allow applications to take exclusive control of the device, making sure 'Do nothing' is checked on the Communication Tab under Sound settings, unchecking all effects for the microphone on the Effects tab etc etc but all to no avail. Bryan, Hopefully, once the PMDG 777 SP1 is released, a number of months later, we will see SP2 for the 737 NGX. Does your team anticipate any enhancements to the current FS2Crew version, either through SDK enhancements that PMDG may put in, or possibly items you may have requested be added so you could put in additional features to make this product even more robust? Currently, I use FS2Crew almost every flight.....................the virtual First Officer is indispensable. Bill Clark

Hi, I am having a couple of issues on arriving at the TOD. I run the Descent Briefing then wait for the TOD. On arriving at the TOD I change the altitude in the MCP for the descent, then: 1) As I am reducing the altitude in the MCP (say for a descent into Newcastle, EGNT) to 2500ft. I get to around 3000ft on the adjustment and the FO says "1000 to go" then the FO makes an announcement saying "Cabin Crew prepare for landing". After we have been descending for a few minutes the FO says something about "10000" cant remember exactly what it is but FS2Crew has '10k Descent' in the procedure/checklist window. I install FS2 crew, the process is all smooth as expected however every time I come to use the software I find that the voice doesn't stay illuminated meaning I'm unable to use the voice version which spoils the product from my point of view. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, did some searching thru the forum and found a few others that have experienced this problem but no real fix for my situation. I have a USB Logitech headset. Mic, headset speakers and 'puter speakers are all active in the control panel. None have the "allow program to take complete control of this device" turned on. All are working. FSX is set up with Default speakers and default mic. FS2C is set up with output set at "Speakers (Logitech USB Headset) and the HS light is lit on the control panel. Mic works but FS2C sound refuses to go thru the headset. Any clue anyone? Mahalo -Rick

I don't know if this just stated with version 1.6 but when I run FSX with FS2Crew operating and close FSX it remains active and I have to shut down windows to close it. It won't restart from the start icon. If I start NGX but not FS2Crew it closes properly. Not a huge problem but maybe someone has an idea how to fix it. Larry

Hi, For reasons i am not aware of but FS2CREW Emergency stops responding to voice just prior to the before takeoff checklist. If i switch up and down in the statusbar like going back to the before taxi checklist and up then back to T/O everything is working again. Hi For a year I have had problems with the words "check" & "checked", being fed up with it, I've used "set" instead. I have added & deleted the words to the speech dictionary multiple times, trying different combinations & pronunciations, trained speech recognition several times.....even prevented "check" to be recognized but it still shows up in FS2CREW? In notepad only "check" is recognized when I dictate, but not "checked", the same in FS2CREW?? Only the word "check" is recognized in the "green bar", is there a way I can merge "check" & "checked" to be recognized as one word? Thanx:)

Having a brilliant time with this product but as my title says you have an option yes or no sounds simple yes or no i get it but what actually does the procedure NO do? Why have it there if nothing works or does something happen? Doesn't seem to do anything for me. Vernon

Hey, just reinstalled everything for FSX so i could have all my sim stuff in a directory by themselves, but now when i go in to my PMDG 738/9 Fs2 fails to start. Ive tried checking the gadge INI, tried assigning buttons to pull up the main panel. and finally just tried to pull it up through the views menu, nothing, the panel isnt even there. As if Fs2 isnt even installed. Has anyone else ever dealt with an issue like this? and yes I've tried reinstalling. its done nothing

Hi Bryan, I am using FSCaptain along with FS2Crew and was flying into Bogota yesterday which has an alititude around 8,000 feet. The FO turned on the landing lights well before 10,000 feet which may in fact be SOP. I got a "did not set lights properly" penalty in FSCaptain for turning on the landing lights before 10,000 feet. Questions: 1) How does FS2Crew determine when to turn on the landing lights? 2) Are landing light minimums dictated by governments, airlines or both? Hello all, I was just unsure about which buttons I need to press inside the aircraft to be able to contact the ground and begin pushback. I enabled the service intercom and spoke "Cockpit to Ground" but I still received no response. Thank you for any help!

Hi people, I encountered a problem with the reason of the problem but I don't know how to fix it. Title tells the problem. I tested without the normal panel.cfg which fs2crew not installed: FSPS X worked. And i made a ditch landing It's fun. And i tested both installed: It didn't work. Fs2crew works perfect in this situation. But when I start FSPS X. A black rectangle appears instead of the normal blue mini-display with icons even manifest dialog is disabled. I really want to fly with these addons. Help me please :C

Hi there, When i try to spell the word ends with -ed, The Recognising Engine can't understand -ed. Example: I spell "Confirmed" It understands as "Confirm" and the action won't start. Hi Since i have installed AES Credits and MyTraffic professional 5.4C for FSX my 737NGX hasn't worked well. When i launch the Fs2Crew panel im getting the ''SDK Error''. I've tryed to fly with the SDK Error but then my FMC is only working and not my Co-pilot. I really wanna fly with those addons because i just bought them but how do i fix it? I had non problems with it before i installed it. Also my Speech Recognition wont show up on the desktop as an icon, i can't even launch it, i have set up my microphone and everything. Im using a GTX 660 Graphic card, Z87-A Motherboard, 16gb RAM, 3.40. Thanks!

Hello, I've got a small issue regarding voice control. Whenever I tell the FO to arm LNAV (select lnav) he understands it as 'select N1. Already tried it with different accents and I ran the speech recognition training 2 times and added 'select lnav' to the dictionary in windows but still no luck. Hi, I have an issue when i fly online on Vatsim. I am using SB4 and FS2CREW Voice but FS2CREW does not pick up my instructions when "Noise suppresion" is enabled under microphone(sound) On the other hand Vatsim can not hear me when i have it disabled, Anyone who has an ideer ? Thanks Michael

Hello, I've the problem that my joystick (TM Hotas Cougar) no longer responds at T+17 in PF main flow! When I display the Controller options under Options is only Mouse Yoke available. This problem occurs on each 737 NGX, when I use with voice control. How can I solve this Problem? Best regards Dave

Sometimes FS2Crew stops working during taxi, takeoff roll or even cruising. I noticed that it is happening when FS decides to refresh traffic. As I am using FS realtime this happens in every flight when small adjustments on FS time are being made. After that FS2Crew Voice control is functioning OK (it is responding to voice commands), but the voice replied are not heard. So the co pilot becomes "silent" and silently does his/her tasks (not bad if she was mother in law!! ...but she isn't). This makes very difficult to complete the checklists not to mention the Emergency procedures. As no one can predict all different scenarios, I wonder if there is a way to "re…

I have recently installed voice fs2crew for the NGX. Was working fine and now it suddenly won't start flows or checklists. My setup: - Windows 7 - latest service packs on the ngx - v2.3 fs2crew voice - turned on via config manager - 2d cockpit on load - trike loads first - EnableDataBroadcast=1 configured - Loading into cold and dark - Waiting until ngx to fully loaded - Headphones set to stereo I can open the Main Panel fine.
