PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

I have only been able to find one profile online that provides vibration and dynamic head movement. (The profile I have is from Daniel). Are there others available?

Any recommendations on a suitable add on for the JS41 for cabin announcements, would fs2crew be overkill? Thanks

I resently bought the Jetstream of PMDG. After installation everything looked fine. Also the use of EZ Doc works like a charme in the cockpit. I only have a problem with the Plane view. When I try to look from the outside to the plane I see a boxed version with only part of cockpit and the props and wings. The rest is invisible. Is there a way to solve that problem? The problem only exists in the Jetstream. The other planes, also the Boeing range of PMDG works fine in the outside view.

I had a problem today in that my NAV button on the panel didn't work. The HDG button operated fine and I had to "manually" fly the plan using the HDG knob. It was the first time I tried to use the FMC on the J41 so maybe it had something to do with that? Also if you use the FMC is there a map option that works on this aircraft? The only screens I got were standard Arc or VOR/ILS screens. To make matters worse my autopilot decided to switch off and would not allow itself to be reconnected as I was in the final descent to intercept the ILS so I had to hand fly the interception and approach. With the announcement this weekend regarding the JS41 I have one question. Is the JS41 version for P3D going to be any different than the FSX version or simply going to be a port over? Would love to have the JS41 in P3D up to the 737NGX and 777 standards. Thanks!

If there is any painters without work at the moment, why not Loganair J41? We have already BN-2 Islanders and I saw a forthcoming screenshot of a QW Bae-146 in Loganair colors... Certainly there wil be a Loganair Twin Otter as well. With FTX Scotland and UK2000 airports it could be great fun to fly those Loganair routes. Hi, Despite all attempts and many reinstalls as well as complete OS reinstalls I have the same result of loading up my JS4100 only to have blank glass gauges and no throttle function. PMDG has helped all the way by resending activations to no avail!!! I sit in a useless cocpit, most recently I even had the help from PMDG to get a new download to see if mine was corrupt. So I reinstalled everything....EVERYTHING including my Windows 7 64bit.....and.....nothing ...:( I am now very open to any suggestions or perhaps I am overlooking something ???? I purchased the Bae Jetstream 4100 and it worked perfectly in Windows 8. I just tried to run it in Windows 8.1 and find that my elevator control and power levers do not work correctly. The yoke in the cockpit does not move at all. The power levers move on command of my Saitek throttle but there is no engine response. Anyone have any ideas?

In case anyone is interested, I uploaded a very simple, but real world livery on avsim library. One thing for sure, this company really didn't spend any money in paint! lol

Hi guys!I've recently been suffering from the previously mentioned corruption of the virtual cockpit, where large transparant blue shapes flicker all over the screen occasionally in the VC. This came on all of a sudden one day, having used the aircraft happily with no bother for a couple of weeks. Hi, today I installed new my PMDG JS4100. I already own PMDG 737 NGX. Installation has been no problem. I wanted to start to load the tutorial 1. When I select it to load, fsx does this and if fsx reaches 100%, fsx crashes. I have no idea how to repair this? Has anyone a helpful hint for me? Thanks! Thorsten

This may or may not be related to the PMDG J41 but it is the only plane it happens with so far. Suddenly for no apparent reason only the left mouse button stops working. The mouse pointer changes to a cross and I can't activate any switches. Everything else continues to work fine. Right mouse, center wheel, and other functions work but not the left mouse. I've tried everything I could find so far that might help. Ctr-Alt-Del, changing zoom level, switching mouse button functions, changing to top down view, no success. When I restart FSX all works fine and I haven't found a way to recreate the problem. I seems random but may have to do with changing views. I do ha…

Good afternoon, I have buyed yesterday PMDG Jetstream 4100. Ok very good aircraft. All is ok but the autopilote don't work. When I set HDG or ALT SEL or another swich no light. When I set STBY swich ihis work and all lights are displayed . It is impossibble to set the autopilote switch. The aircraft won't follow the flight plan in FMC (work good) One response Please ?

I could not find in anything in search for this problem in search. If I enter the route directly into the fmc by inputting each way point everything works fine. But if I save this route and load it in a new flight, even after restarting FSX, the flight plan shows up fine in the fmc but no route is displayed in the LNAV screen. I have re-installed the airplane but no help. Is this a bug or is there something I am missing? Thanks, Tony P

The topic title pretty much tells all ~ I'm using CH Pro USB throttle and have it set up (calibrated) in FSUIPC. For a very short throttle movement it yields an unreasonably large response as viewed on the EIS Torque gauge, and the response is twitchy and uneven. Thrust is very hard to set / control. Hi everyone out there, Yesterday i bought the JS 41 and activated it successfully. I did some flights with it and everything was working perfect. After the loading screen i wanted to start taxiing and noticed that my gauges are missing! I´m not in Cold n´Dark mode! I don´t understand that because i changed nothing. What is the correct method for windmilling the engines to accelerate cooldown time for an engine restart attempt? What gauge(s) can / should be monitored during windmilling? Thank you, Ken

Yeah, so I purchased this aircraft tonight thinking I would be purchasing a quality product as it's a PMDG aircraft. I load up the plane, enter the serial and all is well, go into the virtual cockpit and emanating from the center of the dash is what appears to be a flashing something or other, it's hard to explain. I did a Google search and this issue dates ***BACK TO 2010???*** The solution is to disable the icing effects by selecting medium quality cockpit? Huh? One of the the selling points for me for this aircraft was/is the icing effects on the windshield. Is this acceptable? Please tell me I haven't just wasted money on this software? Andrew Walker

To all, It's likely in the docs, but when setting the DH, where does it read out on the instruments. Also had an issue with the FMS >> about half way through the flight all of the push buttons stopped working. The FMS continued to appear to be functioning but there was no way to communicate with it. I first noticed the problem after I had undocked the FMS. I had also dragged it over to my secondary monitor so perhaps that's what caused the problem. Anyone else experienced this? I'm fairly new to the JS41 and sometimes an engine won't start on the first try. After a failed engine start, I have found no practical method of doing a restart. I've even tried waiting for (many) minutes to allow the engine temp to drop well below 200 deg and then of course ensuring that the prop is feathered and the throttle lever is in the proper position prior to the restart attempt. What typically happens when restart is attempted is that the Gnd switch will not remain in the Gnd position after the Start switch is pressed >> the Gnd switch promptly snaps back to OFF and of course the startup is aborted. Then, I must end the flight and shutdown / rest…

So as the cold autumn weather sets in around here, I thought about doing some island hopping around the many small islands of Greece in the JS41. I was looking to add more realism to the adventure by flying in the livery of a real world operator, but alas was unable to find one. Could one of you please point me in the direction for a livery of Sky Express (ICAO: SEH) or at least a greek operator? New to PMDG the JTS 41 if this sounds like a newbie question it most certainly is. Read all of the forums here concerning the JTS 41 and read the manuals open while in the cockpit may be missing some procedure steps. 3 Start attempts failure. Process: Launch FSX/select Aircraft/JST 41/OK/Advanced/Select training number 1/Fly Know When the scenery files starts to load here the engines ramp very high pressures 100 percent + for approximately 4 to 5 seconds. Hi Chaps, I've just gotten back into the JS41 and can't fathom something that I used to do, but now can't. As real eastern airways aircraft do, instead of requesting a pushback, I've always performed a powerback using the prop reverser. However now whenever I place the power lever into the reverse range after the startup, nothing seems to happen. It seems somewhat odd and I'm wondering if I'm missing something. I've tried with condition levers in both flight and taxi and no difference. As a test, I tried doing a powerback after a flight, and strangely enough it worked - fueling me 'something in me noggin has been forgotten' feeling! Thanks, James
