PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

I recently dusted off my PMDG JS4100 and started flying her again. Must say, a very nice aircraft. One problem though: I programmed the FMS as per the Tutorial, pressed LNAV and FULL MAP and set off into the skies. The MAP showing my programmed route. I connected AP, then VS and FL armed. Nice going so far. When clicking on NAV it shows CAP and then...start to turn in a completely different direction from my Waypoints. There is no way I can get it to follow the waypoints in the map. Except by HDG. But that is not supposed to work like that. Any suggestions?

Hi, Any chance of creating a cargo version of this plane? Remove the passengers and update the load sheet so cargo can just be added? Thank you

Looks like they will release the JS41 for P3D but not FSX Steam edition(correct me if I'm wrong). Has anyone successfully integrated the JS41 FSX version into their FSX Steam virtual hangar?? If so, are many bugs present?

First of all, I want to say I'm not really asking for an official response here. Just putting my thoughts out there. That being said, I just went through the arduous process of setting up a new PC, and installing all my flight simulator software. One of the pieces of software being installed being the PMDG Jetstream 41. Having installed FSX:SE instead of the disk version, got me thinking about what might be the future of the J41. As the title implies, I was wondering if the JS4100 current version will work with a stand-alone install of FSX-SE?

I've just purchased the Jetstream into a new install of FSX on a new computer. Have added the excellent Aerosoft Consolidated Catalina and some UK airports all of which work well and cost considerably less than PMDG stuff. Attempted to run the tutorial for the Jetstream (what tutorial?) as shown in the load files. Large Graphical glitches occurred Across the outside scenery. I exited the flight and FSX gave a fatal error message and closed. Tried reinstalling the Jetstream same thing happened. Tried changing location etc. No good, crashes FSX every time. Hi, Looking at all the positive comments regarding the JS41 possibility coming to P3D v4 and FSX:SE. I am guessing that one of the main blockers is a commercial one, why would PMDG release a aircraft that is relative small in revenue generation compared to the "big tins". So here a thought PMDG - set, a target, if the community hit that target, mobilize the project? I suspect you might be surprised as to the love/demand for this aircraft. Just a thought!

I just installed windows10 on my new hard drive, I reinstalled FSX and the JS41 of PMDG but when activated I have a message that tells me that I activated too many times this device. Do you know how to reactivate my addon please. Cordially.

Just wanted to ask if any repainter would take a request for the new Air New Zealand livery in black? Not just the black tail color, but the all-black livery, which I think would look awesome on the J41.

I'd like to start flying the JS 4100 with FSEconomy a bit more and about 75% of the airports I visit (with other aircraft) are small regional airports and most of them don't have SIDs, STARs or instrument approaches. After figuring out how to add them into the flight plan (by adding a K in front) I've got them in the FMC. However, I'm running into issues where I just want to select a runway. For example, KBNA -> 1A0 I have the option to select 02C (for example) but it forces me to choose a SID, when I just want to choose the runway and skip the SID and transition. Same with the arrival runway (18) at 1A0. I can select the runway but it doesn't allow me to p…

So I recently went through a divorce, lost my old i7 desktop and I am now going to be flying on on i7 laptop. Windows 10, So I go to install the JS-41 and usually there is a pop up upon first selecting the plane to activate it, you pop your serial number in and wham bam thank you maam you are good to go. No go, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no go. Windows 10 FSX SE. FSX SE is installed in a separate partion. I had it working previously in SE on the old computer, no idea why the activation wont pop up for me to put in my serial. Any ideas?

It appears that my operations center isn't saving the settings to the J41. It'll download and install liveries, but I can't get the panel to load grey. It also doesn't appear to be saving because I can't get the FS2Crew panel to pop up. I'm following the directions in the FS2Crew manual and I am running the OC as "administrator." Thanks in advance. Edit: So it appears to work when running the config manager that's in the FSX\PMDG\JS4100 folder, but not with the OC.

I downloaded the latest PMDG Operations Center in preparation for buying the 747 release. I've now noticed that my JS41 which originally was shown as FSX-SE enabled now only shows as FSX in the drop down menu. I know that the aircraft works ok in Steam, but where have all the livery options gone?? I hope that another Operations Center update will follow soon rectify this. Has anyone else come across this problem?? OK cancel that question! Just remembered that all the old pre Operations Center liveries are available for download direct from the PMDG website duh!

Hello. I haven't had any issues with the autopilot until my last 10 or so flights. I usually want to engage the AP fairly soon after take-off, because there is so much else to do to get cleaned up and set power, props, etc. So lately it is just refusing to engage until I'm been climbing for almost a minute. I am trimmed well and holding the speed that the FD cue is giving me. Before Takeoff I have the FD set to GA, HDG hold, and ALT Sel engaged. I don't know what criteria I am not fulfilling at this point to get it to come on when I need it. I retract gear, retract flaps, set props to 98.0, set climb power, all of that while I'm waiting for the AP to agree…

Hello from snowed in KAVL ... I'm trying to figure out a FMC initialization issue that I haven't seen before . I'm taking an around the world adventure with the J41 and really love the aircraft, despite the polygons I get sometimes (I refuse to lower the panel settings.. for another time) . The issue today is I am at NGFU , Funafuti . I am flying to NGTA , Tarawa . For some reason , The FMC wants to initialize the aircraft at NFNR , Rotuma . I have reset , tried changing the coordinates (it will let me change the airport not the coordinates) to no avail . Any ideas ? Guy C .

Hello, Whilst getting re-acquainted with the J41 I've been going through the cockpit along with the Introduction manual, learning a few little tricks and lesser-known or lesser-used features along the way. I must have read it all once before but I've slept a few times since then. Anyway, with the Davtron Chronometer (page 24 of the intro manual), I seem to have found a bug when setting the ET count-down timer. Steps to reproduce: Click SEL until in the ET count-up mode. :sad:I'm having a Jetstream withdraw, not having it available in P3D. I really wish this aircraft would be brought back to life in P3D. It's a shame such a spectacular prop aircraft, and not available for us P3D users. I know it was said before that this might be available in the future, but it's hard to wait.

Guys Any talented painters fancy painting the J4100 in the new Flybe purple livery and also the new Highlands and Islands livery which appears on the Twin Otter? I have pics of the Twin Otter if anyone is able and willing. And I know this is the PMDG fourm but if anyone could find their way to painting the Aerosoft Twin otter in the Highlands and Islands colours too that would be great. Gentlemen, I've recently dusted off the excellent Jetstream 4100 to fly some Sunscan routes for BAVirtual. I've all my Saitek hardware set up via FSUIPC and power, reverse and condition levers are working perfectly. Only one issue; I can't seem to find the correct offset to program the VS/IAS thumbwheel to one of my rockerswitches. As this control has dual functionality, I'm at a loss on how to do this correctly. If anyone has a tip on how to do this, I'd be gratefull. Cheers,
