PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Hi, I have so far unsuccessfully tried to make my Jetstream 4100 follow my FMS flight plan. I have followed all the steps in the tutorial to create the flight plan and it all looks good. I have even created a dummy FSX flight plan (It said in a forum that this was needed). Before departure I pre-set the AP by pressing Altsel (shows arm), VS and HDG (Shows ON). I takeoff and I engage the autopilot after departure. The autopilot flies the plane fine. I now click the NAV-button to engage the autopilot to follow my flightplan but nothing happens. My JS4100 isn't working correctly with my FSX installation. Whenever I load the JS4100 up (after being in a cold and dark C172) the battery switches are on but all the screens are black and if I connect a GPU to the aircraft and turn on the GPU it still gives me no power. The throttles also don't move in the VC even if I move the throttles back and forth, and it is not a controller issue since the tool tip will display the throttle percentage moving up and down. Does anyone know why, or what is going on here?

I seem to see in YouTube a few people fly the J41 in Prepar3d. I thought this wasn't possible, since there is no P3D J41 available!

Greetings All!, So i decided to do a re-familiarization flight in the J-41 as its been a while. So I go through the tutorial and all is well until I get to takeoff and it says engage the autopilot. After much frustration I know the issue, its my joystick... I have the X52, a great stick! Ok, I have the trim wheel set to the axis wheel on the "e" button (owners will know what i mean) the large wheel on the throttle. Now, I moved it to here instead of the two lighted buttons on the stick for greater control. Hi all. I've recently been practicing touch and goes and go arounds without going near the autopilot. I was surprised at how often I used the elevator trim. It's been a long time since I flew anything manually. So my question is, should I buy a trim wheel? I'm finding the rockers on the yoke too difficult to use. If you tap them there's barely no response and if you push and hold there's too much. Having not used the saitek wheel I'm unsure how it works. Does it for example rotate infinity or does it have end points? Does the autopilot control the trim or the elevator? If it does control the trim and the trim wheel has end points, will there be conflicts of mismatch…

Been tinkering around with my first ever PMDG Product. Very pleased with this aircraft so far, so I had to make a repaint for it which this paint has been applied to several of my other aircraft as well. This paint was originally on an real Cessna 182 which I've also done that one in the past for the A2A 182. I don't know the significance of this paint or what it might stand for but it sure does look nice on a lot of aircraft out there and on my FSX aircraft as well being a fictional paint except for the 182. SO today on IVAO i flew a nice route from EDDL to EDDM, THEN! At EDDM the weather turned out to be sh*t, and it started to rain, then this happened: https://gyazo.com/0f5045ac994a43f83071ae1be849d22d (dont asked why i parked the plane at the cargo area...) I had no idea that JS41 had windshield raindrop effects, and even it doesn't look very realistic, then its still better than nothing, and this plane just went far up my list of favorit planes .

Hi all. New to the plane, I have completed several flights, but something is going very wrong with all my attempts today. Not sure what I am doing differently, but I am having issues with the start locks and with starting the engines in general. I have done the tutorial flight successfully. I have read the startup guide pinned in this forum, and I have been using it as a guide for starting the engines. I pull both power levers to reverse, then use the un-feather switch to un-feather both props. I visually watch them go to the flat disk from the side. I am unable to install my js41 into fsx steam it says it cant find fsx.exe I read the new vesion is out but when I download its still the same version I need the new installer how do I get this thanks

I've been fighting with crashes at the new KMEM if someone could roll there PMDG J4100 from there and let me know what happens. I had a g2d.dll and PMDG_BAe_JS4100.dll log file, I preplaced the g2d.dll with a backup and reloaded the gauge file with no luck ... Thanks..

I really enjoy the J41, but I seem to have run into a problem with flashing VC graphics corruption while panning around the cockpit. Corruption is specific to cockpit in VC mode only (looking out the window is fine).Digging some more, it appears the flashing VC corruption ONLY occurs when I'm using ASA weather (with X Graphics) -- specific weather conditions seem to set off the corruption. I'll try to dig some more to find out what specific weather condition causes the VC to start flashing corrupted polygons. This is limited to just VC, exterior is fine. Hi guys, I thought I ask about this. I know the JS41 is an old release and seeing updates on this is doubtful, but a question never hurt anyone (unless you're a candidate to the presidential office or a Miss pageant contender ))) ). So, would we ever see the weather radar working in the JS41, now that ASN is providing the right information? Also, between the B737, B777, MD-11 and the B747, the JS41 is the most aircraft that really acts out to weather. Thank you, Adrian

Hi I am trying to learn how to fly the J4100 I am doing the tutorial now,my question is when I get plan into the FMS and I save the flight in also the flight simulator, or would it be better to save the plan in the FMS, also I have a lot of flickering on cockpit screen,anyone know why this is. Hi I just decided to put my old boxed version of PMDG JS41 on, but as soon as I click on the setup.exe it gets blocked saying administrator blocked for your own protection. I'm using windows 10, does anyone know of this problem?

HiPlease could you advise how to set the autopilot on the PMDG J41. The problem occurs when changing altitude. For Example: Heading is set to desired heading, altitude set at 10,000. ATC gives clearance to 16,000. I select ALT SEL and ‘dial-in’ 16,000, active the VS button and use the thumb dial to increase the VS value. At this point the plane will either go into a steep climb or dive and the autopilot will disengage. After re-establishing level flight, selecting autopilot simply puts the plane back into the dive or climb.Comments greatly received

I recently downloaded the repaint kit for the JS41 and it states something on the instructions about a radome being included on the fuselage template I case the livery had one. When I open the JS41 in a model viewer it shows a large black pod on the bottom of the air craft along with a FLIR pod on t he nose. In FSX this is not visible. How do I enable it and paint it? I'm having an issue entering more than 3 offset waypoints in a row. after the third is entered the first waypoint in a route disappears. eg if I enter EGPH (Edinburgh) POL INH* an offset with the following properties (000deg/10nm) INH* an offset with the following properties (020deg/10nm) INH* an offset with the following properties (040deg/10nm) if I try and enter a fourth offset then EGPH will disappear followed by POL If I had entered a SID from EGPH then the waypoints of the SID would disappear one by one I read the AOM and it mentions naming the subsequent offsets with suffixes to differentiate them but doesn't go into how. I am not sure if this issue has been brought up, but I am having a problem with my 4100. The EFIS display is blank. All of my other controls, displays etc. work fine, but the EFIS. I fly under Win 10, FSX-SE. All my drivers are up-to-date, and my computer meets all requirements If anyone has a direction to send me or an answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! I love pmdg aircrafts, but the jetstream was never on my radar... dont know why. I have to change this and think about buying it. My question about the Features... does it have a wear and tear feature like the NGX? So when I overstress the engines sometimes, they will fail after a time? What about failures in general? And I use boxed FSX, are there any known problems with this bird? Needed fixes, workarounds? I think the price is quite low for a PMDG :-) Is this because it is a "reduced" features plane or is it a standard PMDG awesome bird? Thank you very much! Regards

Hi. I have been trying for ages to find the cause of the co-pilots rh knob selector freezing intermitantly. Some times the switch freezes in the off pos,and unable to rotate it to vor2/adf2/lnav,yet the tool tip suggests it is selecting these positions, today i have traced the fault , to the flood light switch , when in the on position.
