PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Is it possible to configure axis for J41 Throttles and Prop Pitch in fsuipc such that moving them into reverse, as set in fsuipc, will move them fully back? I have set the joystick configuration in fsuipc for my CH Throttles to reflect the indents and reverse, but the Throttles in the J41 only go as far as 'idle' and 'taxi' even when the CH controls are moved into the reverse position. Is this a quirk of this PMDG aircraft, or is there something else I could try. I don't really want to have to resort to using F2/F3 to get them to move fully reversed / feathered? Stuart

Hello everyone. I bought the J41 yesterday. Installation did not ask me for product key which I thought was strange. I run FSX Steam on 64bit Win7 with Saitek 52Pro. The throttle and pitch quadrants are inoperable. Moving the joystick throttle, F keys and mouse operation do not move the leavers but the engine seems to respond. I tried all could think off. I am desperate. The latch release buttons (red) do not work and unfeather pump switch makes no difference.. I had free version of FSUIPC. Then I uninstalled it - problem persists. Then I bought FSUIPC4 still no difference. I tried unplugging the joystick and not running the Saitek plugin but still no change.…

Hi fellow airmen/airwomen, I am in desperate need of help regarding the J41. Something changed... and now the aircraft is unusable. When I load the J41 (no matter from where I load it or which flight I choose) the VC behaves strange. The condition levers for example are stuck in the most forward condition (flight) and I can't move them. Same with the throttles. The main displays remain dark as well. Even when I have the GPU connected or the engines running (which I can only achieve by loading the J41 after I loaded a standard FSX aircraft with running engines before). Hi fellow jetstreamers. I would like to share with you my double throttle quadrant setup and would be interested in reading how everyone else uses theirs. Before I begin I must state that I only fly the jetstream and I don't have a registered version of fsuipc, so this setup won't be for everyone. If anyone has an improved setup using the registered fsuipc I would be interested, as I understand you can program it for multi aircraft and this would be a great upgrade for me. First my equipment. Hi there everyone, Yesterday I purchased the PMDG Turbo Prop and managed to get it installed no issue but it is really broken in game. The outside model of the plane has no issues, But the cockpit is so broken... Some things 'work' but no animations work and none of the displays work. The throttles and mixture controls are always in 100% and stuff like that. It is really weird. I have tried to reinstall and repair, with it still not working. When installing the product I never had to activate it so that is what I was thinking the issue may be but after also reading this forum I thought it may be because of me using SE. A really interesting thing happened to me tonight in the JS41. I decided to go for a flight in the blizzard that hit the southeast today with a route from KATL to KBNA. Conditions in Atlanta were bad, with heavy snow at takeoff. About five minutes into the flight everything was going normally. I was cruising at 240 knots cleared by vatsim departure up to FL140. At around FL110 she started to stall. This caught me off guard because I was climbing at a very modest 1200 fpm. The only way I could get her flying again was to descend. Hi. This might have come up before, but I am having problems starting the right engine. I have read the start-up guide, but can't find solution. I start the left engine fine, but when I repeat for right engine, the engine turns, never overheats just keeps turning without firing up. I do it the same as left engine. Both avionics masters off, booster fuel pumps on both generators off, right engine feathered using switch and checked externally, all anti ice off. Any suggestions? Thanks Ben Rudder

Does anyone know why the FMC in my JS41 doesn't turn on? I have tried with Battery/Ground Power on, and after starting engines but when clicking the on button on the FMC nothing happens and the FMC remains blank. I can't find anything in the manuals that indicate that something needs to be switched in order to Activate the FMC. Can anyone help? Stuart

Hi all. I'm preparing my pc for a 2nd hard drive which will contain all of fsx plus add-ons. I was wondering if there was a specific uninstall procedure for the js41. I'm trying to remove all things fsx whilst trying not to lose licence keys and data. Uninstalling fsx isn't a problem thanks to the guide on PMDG'S Web site, it's just the jetstream I need help with. Hello, in AOM there is a procedure of holding. I cannot do it - when I highlight point in FMS and push HOLD buton (as described in AOM) there is nothing happened. Why? How do You make holding at RNAV point? Michal

I started having a strange problem...My front left passenger door of the J41 will not open. I have tried openning via the ramp manager as well as pressing shift+e and for whatever reason it wont open. Everything else on the ramp manager works fine.

When I started each J41 engine, I would get a nice puff of dark smoke. For the longest time I have been getting no smoke, and I can't figure out how to solve the problem. Any idea? Thanks,

Hi all, I am interested in the J41 for FSX SE. I've already read in another post that it is not compatible/supported at the time but it works. Another question I have is regarding the sound, from the youtube videos the sound seems really loud, altough I've also seen a real footage from the cockpit and it's almost the same. The question is, is there anyway to put the sound muffled? From my pilot perspective point of view, we usually wear headsets, not talking about the noise reduction system you would see in some units, just the regular ones, but there is always a reduction or muffling in the sound. Has anyone been able to use the Garmin GTN750 in the J41 as a popup window (not integrated into VC. I have tried everything but it will not activate via the NAV button or if I configure it to activate with HDG button. Will not follow GTN750 flight plan at all. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks

I have the J41 on my PC, FSX boxed edition. My wife has a newer PC, with better specs. Can I install the J41 on her computer to see how it fares?? It means it will be on 2 PC's, but they are within 3 feet of each other. Will it allow me to "activate" on the 2nd computer? Many thanks for any help.

I Im a french user of PMDG JS4100 Aircraft on FSX SE / IVAO so sorry for my bad english. I have a probleme with this aicraft (JS4100). The battery are at "BATT 0" volt and when the parc group is connect i have always 0 volt. Have you got a solution for my problem ? Thanks.
