PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Guys how do I delete a waypoint within FMS? Or, how do I select a direct fly-to? I do see a "direct to" displayed in FMS, showing the waypoint it is flying to. I try to enter there the next waypoint I want to fly to, but it is not being processed/activated. Sometimes I have a SID that is taking me too far and I want to "clean it up" ether by deleting waypoints of the SID or the original plan, and don't know how.

Very exciting ed, but the ed appears to be old, I assume the project was abandoned?

If I am not mistaken the gustlock located on a panel on the co-pilots side just below the middle of the instrument panel on the right side of the throttle console is supposed to not be implemented, but there is a guy out there called swedflight that has a moving gustlock that works, I saw it work in his video, does anyone know how he did this? mine will not move.

After browsing these forums I downloaded and purchased the RealityXP weather radar add on, WX500After this, went through the config manager, loaded the J41 and I see the radar and it works, however it is too small. The entire unit sits inside the non functional standard WX radar LCD screen. How can I re-size this? Going thru the manuals and configuration file I found nothing making any reference to this. Most frustrating. Any ideas?

Hello: I have a new PC and have installed FSX OK along with my sceneries and aircraft. One of my favourite aircraft is the PMDG JS4100 Jetstream. I can't get the flap lever to go down past flaps 9 and I can't retract flaps at all. I am using windows 7. Oddly, the flap button on my Saitek yoke works with all my other aircraft just fine. I have tried deleting the button in FSX settings and re-assigning it, but that didn't work. I hope someone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. the flap lever just jumps a bit when the flap button is pushed, like it wants to work but can't. Thank you, Bob

When I try to turn on the FMC I cannot get it to work, the FMC screen is blank with a little yellow rectangle box in the middle of the screen, I tried a reinstall and changing the display steeings such as unchecking direct X....etc... to no avail, has anyone else had this problem? I couldnt find any one in the forum with this issue....any ideas how to fix this, I cannot load any flights.

I purchased the scenery add on "Switzerland Professional" and I intend to do a lot of flights in this country because the scenery is so nice. Unfortunately there are many airports with short runways and not suitable for a PMDG-737. Therefore I intend to buy the PMDG Turboprop JS4000 hoping less runway length ( 1000 to 15000 meters ) could be used. Short question: how much rwy does the JS4000 need for take off and landing ? Every time I go to Flightaware and look up JS41 in the flight tracker, zero flights show up. I think I remember seeing one - just one - a while back. People are still flying DC-3s, but not the Jetstream. Any idea why this is? Mike Lawrence

I have been flying the JS-41 since it was first delivered by PMDG. Learning about stop latches, feather/unfeather were lessons learned. I recently updated to the latest version, did a full install and everything seemed okay.I follow the checklist exactly, go through the engine start procedures, and when I pull an engine slowly to full feather and back it may or may not catch fire. BUT the instant the second engine returns from full feather they both catch fire. Aside from changing the .ini to no fires is there fix to apply? I have done the process using both throttle quadrant (Saitek) and the "F" keys (F2 and whatever) Thanks for any help here Neal H

JS41 >> Had an issue with the FMS >> about half way through the flight all of the push buttons stopped working. The FMS continued to appear to be functioning but there was no way to communicate with it. Also during the flight, the DME stopped indicating while still well within range. Thank you, Ken Boardman

I have a problem with the AHRS alignment. Everytime when the AHRS aligns the PFD and ND show no numbers and letters! Dont know what i am doing wrong. Not sure if there is an alignment. Tcas Test is ok. Any idea?

I fired up the beautiful JS-41 to reacquaint myself with her in anticipation of the beta testing we will be doing soon for the new FSX/FSXSE installer. This became a lesson in humility. I am an avid aviation buff, been flying since '74 and have over ten years with a lot of multiengine time - but all piston no turbines. I have a new and somewhat fatal problme that I simply cannot solve. I decided to try and set my PMDG cotrols from within FSUIPC and generally these worked except the flaps which basically now only move into the first (Flaps 9) position and wil move absolutely nowhere else thereafter (up or down). I have tried taking the J41 out of FSCUIP and that doesn't work. I really enjoy flying the PMDG J41 and generally I have overcome all its little "oddities"! However one thing happens every so often I really don't understand. I will have the aircraft stable in autopilot perhaps in the descent to the arrival airfield and may have set my VS "roller" to -1500ft/min then when I go back to it to readjust the cockpit tip tool I see when pointing to something says Inc/Dec 2 (or up to 7) instead of + or - ft/min, the aircraft drops like a stone and won't allow me even to put the autopilot back on which has dropped out when I needed to apply a manual recovery from the dive. Good Day AllI run my FSX on a Win7-64 bit platform.I have the PMDG 747 and the JS4100 in my hangar. Love them both, only planes that I fly.Lately the JS41 causes FSX to crash and give me a fatal error message everytime I try to load it either from the splash screen, or even from FSX once the default airtrike is loaded and landed. I can load and fly the 747 without any issues whatsoever, however soon as I select the JS it crashes.After enduring this for two weeks I removed the entire JS4100 from my system, did a cold reboot and reinstalled the software. Same issue! No Difference!Could someone please advise......

Good day. Would J-41's FMS direct you on the runway course before landing or would it not? I flew my first STAR with J-41 yesterday (previously just used the ILS freq.) into Dallas KDFW runway 35R, entered the proper Transition/STAR/Rnwy (did it with 737, perfect), however the approach path with J-41 did not direct me to Rnwy 35R, it directed me to the airport directly, actually towards runways 31. I went with ILS and landed on 35 anyway but I was surprised it didn't give me a proper path. I checked it 10 times wile still in flight, the runway entered was 35R, with proper STAR and transition selected.

I was wondering if there would be a way to integrate the Flight1 GTN 750 in place of RXP Weather Radar on the VC? Would be more useful since FSX has never been a real representation of what is going on with the weather, but it sure would be handy to have the features the GTN comes with, specially the safe taxi feature.

Hi, I'm having difficulties with the FMC in PMDG's Jetstream 41 addon, and a few posts have suggested that there may be an issue decoding the SIDs and STARs correctly? The FMC seems to routinely ignore anything other than a simple 'fix to fix' arrangement, so intercepts, for example, don't appear to work at all; plus there are a few other FMC quirks besides! Anyone wishing to test my theory, try flying the EXMOR1A SID from runway 30 out of Cardiff (EGFF). The correct procedure (ignoring vertical limits) is to fly on the runway heading to 4.0 DME from ICWA, then turn left to intercept the BHD57 (BHD 005 radial @ 57NM) on a 130 Track.
