just opened new JETSTREAM 4100 cd , installing into win-7 , I go thur install process , flt sim comes on I pick PMDG 4100 in plan selection and flt display screen goes white and does not open , FLT SIM X re-boots and re- boots ext... computer built for flt sim Need your help out there Flt sim nut for 15 yrs , have several PMDG planes , wondering why prob's with this plane? Appreciate support Philthy Phil

I bought the J12 today, and when i installed it, i started going through the flight tutorial. When it came time to de-activate the start locks after engine startup, the pdf said there would be a callout saying 'Startlocks removed' but i didnt hear one. I thought i was doing something wrong, so i looked at the pinned engine start tutorial, but alas i did not hear the callout. Then i flipped through the pdf and found that there was supposed to be a condition levers flight callout, so i put the condition levers to flight, and heard nothing. all my sound settings are good, and i even turned down the engine volume, but no callout was heard. Whats going on?

Hello- I just purchased, downloaded and installed the B1900C yesterday. It's pretty good! One comment I have is that the glideslope doesn't seem to work. Is there a switch for it somewhere? All I see on the HSI is a horizontal line, and above it a horizontal bar with a small arrowhead pointing up all the time. What am I doing wrong? -Scott

Working on some livery for my VA, I consider myself to be comfortable with Photoshop CS6, I was able to paint the PMDG 777 and the Twin Otter Extended with no issues at all. This one is throwing me for a loop and I cant figure out for the life of me what is causing the problem. I'm attaching screenshots to help show the issue I'm running in too. If I was painting a P-51 or something I'd probably be thrilled. These shots don't do the problem justice. This is an incredibly 'wet' or icey looking result. This 2nd image was restarted with a vanilla PSD downloaded again from PMDG's website. I painted the Nacelles and put a simple red stripe on the rear. The same red RGB …

Help. I cannot get the props to unfeather as they used to. Batts are on, GPU is on, power levers in rev., I move the unfeather switch left and right, go to an outside view, and NOTHING is happening. Props stay feathered. Condition levers are in taxi. I am doing everything I have done for years (with great success) but now the props will not unfeather. I just reinstalled the JS41, to no avail. Anyone have a suggestion? I am assuming this is my error somehow, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong.

Hi all, I have recently found out this small bug, but quite annoying. Every time I fly an amber HDG warning appears on the ND. In fact the HDG is not aligned with the mag heading by a few degrees (over 10 sometimes). The procedure I follow is always the same, from C&D I wait for all the systems to initialize, align, etc, then I start up. At first there is no warning, but after a while it appears. Then disappears while in flight, to reappear again later...what am I doing wrong? I don't know if there's a way to manually adjust it but I don't think so...fact is if I click the HDG button on the A/P the bug is positioned on the correct heading (example: I'm on a mag hd…

I have been thinking about flying the J41 out of my local airfield, Orsa Tallhed (ESNR). The airfield in question had commercial flights with Convair CV-440s until 1971 when a larger airport, Mora-Siljan (ESKM), able to handle jet traffic, was opened closer to town. I would like to fly some "what if"-flights that would probably have still existed if not the new airport had been built. My home field was built during WW2 and has two runways: A 3000 feet asphalt runway formerly used by the commercial traffic and a 2500 feet long grass runway. Hi Everyone, Today i did try a short flight and After all plane was on and perfect i moved The thrust lever in to the lower position to remove the start lock or whatever is the name. I hear the voice telling me it was removed and then i started to taxi but moving the throttle on they didnt move then i was thinking it was a problem of calibration and i tried using F3 but the throttle didn move they moved only couple of millimiters then using the throttle of the saitek i was able to move them into idle but never be able to move them on what problem can it be? Hi Guys! Yesterday i was flewing from VTSM to VTCC it is around 580 nm and the fue estimated was aroud 3500 pounds. I had a TOW of 22000 pounds. With this weight and the lenght of flight of Approx 2.5 hours what shoulkd be the optimum flight level? Is there some charts where in base of the weight i can calculate the OPT FL? Thanks

Hi everyone, So far I could fly the J41 without any problem on the PC I write this message. I did not change anything in my PC but now, a popup dialogbox says that I need an activation code and I don't know where I can get it from. The key I received for the first installation does not work. Strange indeed. For any help I would be very thankful. Best regards Alfred Gruetzner

Hi PMDG pilots, here is some very basic questions regarding the FMC on this bird; I read quite a few reviews, which answered pretty much all my question, but one: the A/P and FMC. I understand the VNAV function is not simulated (don't know whether it is a J4100 characteristic, or a PMDG choice). If what I said is correct, how do you fly the aircraft? Can you leave it to the A/P and the FMC, or the FMC is just to be used as a reference? Last one: can you enter waypoints that you create in the FMC? Is it compatible with Navigraph? Bought recently PMDG JS41 on DVD and have problems to work with panel functionality. All 2-D popups for RMU, FMS, AP/FD and Ramp Manager are not working. I can call them up with the usual Shift+# command but none of the buttons etc are workable or are even recognized when tried to click on. I have reinstalled and downloaded the SP1 but no resolve. Looked at several forums but could find any hint for solution. It looks to me that some gau-files are missing which should not be on a hardcopy DVD. This way the plane is not flyable, i.e the screen of the RMU is not even visible to set NAV or ADF frequencies. This is at the moment a very frustrating experience of the buy from A…

Very nice product. Thanks. The Autopilot pannel is at the aisle. So it's hard to view and control it. Z key is for A/P button. So no problem. I can engage A/P without panning camera. But VS(=IAS) wheel is ... No key? T.T Is the VS wheel connected to FSX default key? If so, What's the key name? Thanks! Sorry my poor English. but you may well understand my intention. Thanks! Sorry. I've been long considering this aircraft. I have a few questions, is fomeone can answer :-) 1) Is the TCS ( aka CWS ) functional in the aircraft allowing for pitch / roll intervention without disconnecting the AP? 2) Is the "FMS" fully functional? I've heard a few MFD's aren't opperative? Add to your answers any oppinions on this add-on please. It's an old model already, but reading the docs suggests it is very good. Thx!

Yesterday in my last attempt to fly the Jetstream (ended in engine melt down at the blocks) when I tried to program the FMC I encountered a few problems. The manual says that after the INITIALIZATION screen one should press ENTER three times and it will switch to another page, the Flight Plan page. Well, I did so and it never changed, it was stock at Initialization. I don't remember what I finally did to move to another page. The other problem was that my departure airport (MPRH) was not found in the database! I was left with the dilemma, forget the hour of checklists done so far and start all over or go on without FMC. Hello, I know, jet another dash8 topic. Anyway, will the development on the Dash 8 be continued after finishing the 777 / 747v2? I know it was put on ice, but I can't find anything about for how long etc. I don't want to be a whiner and I don't need release date's etc, just interested in wheter it will be finished or not. I never really was into this type of aircraft, but after my holiday in Norway I don't want anything else lol. It's insane to see them land and take off from such short runways.
