PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hey all,I have been running the PMDG 747 and JS4100 for around a while but it was only recently that I decided to put on the MD-11. I understand that the is some sort of PMDGOptions.dll file involved in it so when it came up to trust it when I started FSX I clicked on run. That was when the problems started. Currently I have edited the fsx config to not trust the pmdgoptions.dll, got rid of the pmdgoptions.dll from everywhere on the pc, edited the dll.xml file in application data\microsoft\fsx and got rid of the PMDG 747 and JS4100.Please helpAndrew Cary

Greetings to you all and a Happy New Year,I am just getting into the MD 11 and have also downloaded the UK2000 Heathrow Xtreme version of Heathrow.In the PMDG Tutorial Flight the startingpoint is gate D50 at Heathrow. With the Xtreme software the gates have all been renumbered. Does anybody know how to locate where the original D50 was/is now located? has it been renumbered or am I worrying too much ??Happichap

I have installed the PMDG MD-11X on FSX.. The install went fine. However, went I start FSX and try to load the MD11-X, FSX locks up. ATL+Ctr+Del will not unlock it. I end up having to do a hard re-boot.I have installed the MD-11X before and never had this problem.What went wrong?Thanksjps611

I have looked all over and can't find anything about this. It's just a small visual thing. When I taxi and my AC is heavy (alot of fuel and cargo) for long haul flights, the nose gear suspension is all the way at the bottom, and when I brake the gear is digging a little bit into the ground. Is there a fix for this or can it be fixed in the CFG?? Thanks

Hello,I recently installed MD-11 for FSX. I'm having a very weird problem that sometimes after I disconnect the autopilot, my elevator stays locked. I've tried AFS override switches and everything but nothing works. Today I noticed, that if I keep z button (FS AP master switch) pressed all the time, the elevator works. When I release the button, it doesnt work anymore. In slew mode the joystick works normaly, and also during the proble, you can see the virtual cockpit yokes moving forward and backwards while you move joystick. But elevator stays locked, until you keep z pressed down. And this only happens after disconnecting the autopilot. Before turning autopilot on, it …

What does "heated, but not ventilated" for the center carco compartment mean? Does "ventilated" mean there's considerable amount of air mass moving in and out of a compartment and "not ventilated" that there's only minor airflow because of pressurization (i.e. excess air flowing out of the compartment)?

I noticed today that the thread of the LSAS problem which I have started has been locked and I have been called a pirate by PMDGexpress and a PMDG member vscimone. I already sent vscimone a message and I told him the email address and order numbers for MD-11 and 747X. I have paid 140 USD for these products and PMDG members are publicly insulting me a pirate on this forum. I demanded an apologize from vscimone. If I don't get it, I'll leave this forum. I can't get my Aerosoft dvd of the MD-11 to install on my new Win7 computer. I get the following msg: "FSX Version 10.0.61355.0 (Sp1 at least required). You only have FSX Version 10.0.60905.0 installed. Please install FSX Sp1 or later to use this product."Any ideas on what I should do to get this product to install in my Win7 computer?Oh, one other question I have: Why do I have 2 Program Files in my C:/ drive? The first one reads: Program Files. The second one reads: Program Files (x86). This is where my Microsoft FSX file is located. Does this mean anything?jack noulet

I'm looking forward to the release of the 737ngx and more to 'AOA's course to accompany this.Chris Palmer and Nick Collett did an absolutely amazing job with the MD-11 and I learnt heaps more than I would have done by just purchasing and flying the MD-11. In my honest opinion, anyone who bought the MD-11 that hasn't got this course is missing out on so much.

Hello PMDG, Merry Christmas, I was enjoying my flight from KLAS to KLAX on the Rivvr2 Star to 25L, I got about 5-7 nautical miles from the threshold, and I got a CTD with the fault TCAS2v7.dll which ended in a Crash to Desktop, I use Ultimate Traffic 2 which is fully updated, and this has happened only to the MD-11 and its happened more than once with the same fault always on final approach. What should I do please don't say uninstall and re-install the jet. This is FSX SP2 with Acceleration.

Hello,I'm curious to what the best way to input information for departing 31R or 31L out of KJFK and using the breezy point climb. BWG will be the first waypoint in my flight plan. The STAR states the following"Climbing left turn direct CRI/VOR DME, make turn east of CRI-R039,then via CRI-223,to RNGRR/CRI 27 DME or JFK R-223 at or above 2500 ft., maintain 5000 ft., thence..." I understand how to fly the climb put was curious what's the best way to put the above information in the FMC. I have recently purchased the PMDG MD-11X and I have made some flies and I have detected some issues like this:- when I load the weather with FSX weather engine, the airplane has a rare behaviour into the ND screen I can watch how the wind direction change constantly always in oposite directions with alternate directions, some times the wind is in 180 degress then in 360 alternating. This behaviour makes the plane looking for the track of FP turning from one side to another in very annoying way.- another issue is the behaviour of speedbrakes, when the computer of airplane ask for "ADD DRAG", it only reduces it speed when is applied FULL SPEEDBRAKES, nothing happen when is…

Captains,I've got a slat and flap problem on my MD11 that I noticed recently. When I put the flaps down, the configuration display show everything down but a visual inspection of the aircraft show only the inboard slats and flaps down, the outboard sections are stowed.The performance of the aircraft seems to be ok when I try to do a takeoff or landing. I tried uninstalling and re-installing but that didn't do anything. The flaps and slats worked properly when I first had the aircraft eons ago and I don't know at what point this funny behavior started.Anyone can give me some suggestions? Is it a problem with the aircraft or a problem with the graphics?Kirk Mayers

A while ago I came across an extensive document from NASA Dryden center where they tested a MD11 capability in landing with engine thrust only to control flight path all the way down to landing. Initially they tested turning, and then climbing, descending level by having the pilot control throttles, then they tried a landing. Needless to say it didn't go to well due to the increased lag of the engines EPR. Then a simple software modification to the FCC1 enabled them to use the normal controls (yoke) to control aircraft even with full hydraulic failure. The yoke would control the actual engines instead. Dear PMDG,I was watching a few videos that recommended a program called EZdok, witch enables you to have a frere camera to better use airplanes in the VC. Since Chris Palmer used it, the one who makes the AOA videos, I figured it was worth a try. After using it with my MD-11 for FSX, I noticed a major problem. Once you enabled it on an airplane it made it so that whenever you turn the airplane left or right, the ailerons dont move, and niether do the sopilers, but the flaps do, and so do the elevators and rudder. I proved that EXdok was responsable because I tried it on my 744 as well as a few default airplanes, and they all had the same problem, even after I uninstalled …
