PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

I have a CDU2 Menu Request message as im enroute JFK now. I have searched the manual and have got no where. What does this mean?Also I had a DFDR off message a bit ago but cant seem to find it now. If anyone can help me figure out what that is also it would be much appreciated!Shawn Fitts

RE the MD11Whereas the other cockpit sounds are properly heard the feminine warning voice is difficult to understand because it is faint. I have checked the sound settings under the options-settings-sounds menu and all the sliders are at 50%. The PDMG sounds menu also looks properly set at 50%.How can I configure the warning voice to be distinctly heard?Could my problem arise owing to a Vista Windows sound setting outside FSX?Best wishes, John Morgan

I tested rejected takeoffs on 2 different computers several times, one has CH yoke+pedals, one not even a joystick.I created me a situation where the plane is almost fully loaded with passengers, cargo and fuel. I reload FS9 every time freshly before doing any tests.V1=141 kts, I abort takeoff at 140 kts, systems are set to allow a RTO (e.g. autobrakes armed at T.O., spoilers armed).I know that the procedure is to apply brakes manually, but I wanted to see what automatics do ;-)On the system without joystick, I retard throttles to idle and apply full reverse thrust. I'm unable to fly Track000 when there is a crosswind component.After rolling out of the turn on the selected Track000, indicated on the FMA, another turn is started that brings the aircraft on Heading 000.Hope this can be solved.Regards,Harry

Hi everyone,First, this is my first post here and proud to be a PMDG MD-11 captain :( Second, the problem that i have is with its sound .. let me explain this:When i start the plane in cold & dark mode .. and starting-up everything .. the APU sound is not recognized untill i change the view and back again to the cockpit .. some time it needs to "sound off" by clicking Q button.same with air flow .. engines .. etc .. so, what shall i do? so that i can fix this sound issue .. and keep my speakers updates with the instant sounds and alerts .. without the need to change the view mode or just clicking Q.Regards,Abdullah Al-Ghamdi

hi there,i noticed, when doing a non autoland, the brakes won't release after i stopped on the runway. even when i shortly tip the brake button on my joystick, after the plane stopped.so i can't taxi to the gates.i only have this with the PMDG MD11, and not with the other PMDG planes, or LevelD for example.i read the manual where it said: As soon as you reach 25kts shortly tip the brakes to deactivate autobrake (brake pedals or . -key). Has anyone experienced the problem I am having with MD11 and Mega Airport Paris CDG. The Initialisation process never starts and the panel remains black, I noticed that the scenery installation loads a product called VistaMare ViMa Core which alters the fsx dll (it gets added at bottom below PMDG entries).I have replaced the dll file with a backup which seems to work and cancel out of the Vista Mare installation when prompted but I lose some functionality with the scenery options.FSX SP2, XP.

Is anyone else getting consistent OOM errors with the MD-11? More importantly, has anyone found a way to reduce them? How can I tell if I have a memory leak? Thanks in advance.Bob..

Hey guys,I've got a strange problem witht the MD-11:All works well, but after ca. 30 minutes of flight, I can hear a sizzling noise from the speakers, a few minutes later the EICAS gets nearly black, and after again 2 minutes the PC crashes! :( Has anyone got the same problem? Or a solution?Ben

hey all.i have a problem installing fs9 md 11 repaints.they dont work.the only one i can manage to install is the martinair md11 f classic v1.10.so does the repaints that are not v1.10 not work?any help will be appreciated thanksjay

When I set a weight where any of the CGs in the load manager is out of limits, the load manager lets me save with a warning, then the plane loads with black gauges. I cannot bring back the gauges even when loading a situation or a panel configuration.I know, out of limit CG isn't that good, but I think the "save" button should be disabled in such cases to prevent black gauges (if that's a common problem and not related to my PC hardware configuration).Andreas

HiThe PMDG MD 11 for FS9, the gauges do not work, the switches are there but the elctronic screen gagues are missing, I only get black boxes.Never had a prob with the PMDG 747or LDS 767, CLS 747.Help please.

I just flew a VOR/DME approach with the MD-11, using Nav and Prof all the way to the MDA using the guidance from an MD-11 document in smartcockpit.com. It flew it flawlessly... This airplane is simply impressive! Thanks PMDG!!!Carlos

Hey guys,After taking my first flight without tutorial or anything, I got a problem with the brakes after deactivatiing the autobrakes on the runway at circa 40 kts, I couldn't brake anymore, the red "brake" in the lower left corner didn't appear! I tried a few things, but I couldn't find a solution.Did anybody have the same problem or got a solution?I would be proud if anybody could help me! :( Reagards,Ben

Hello allWhen I enter a Star in the FMC , in the F PLAN page I get mixed points no logical continuity from the last route waypoint and the points from the STAR ? I need to CLR a lot of mixed points and lot of discontinuities ? even the arrival airport ? Do not understand as I click the good star at the Line of the airport left buttom as indicated in the manual . Do you have any advise and help please how to do to avoid that ?
