PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

    Bonjour.I use MD11 for FSX since Oct. 2008 without problem.Yesterday, I install Service Update (09 jan 2009). The addon is always OK but after my first flight I look I have no Load Manager !...I search it in the files of FSX and PMDG, I also search it with the Windows Explorator, without success.What can I do to retrieve this Load Manager ?.Merci beaucoup.PS: sorry for my english.

    Last flight, during final approach, I was stable at 4000 feets in altitude hold mode intercepting ILS locator well under the glide slope.Usually the plane keeps the altitude until GS and then started descent. but here,o nce established on loc, the plane started a climb to reach the glide slope at some 5000 feets, and then followed gently the GS.I try to check what was special in this flight and only see that.I preapared the STAR DJL for ILS08R at LFPG. (the use is the longer 08L for TO and shorter 08R for landing). But this time the ATC assigned me the 08L.     Hello PMDG team I have reinstalled my MD 11 - fs9 after pc problemsand now When I am in climb , cruize the speed is limited to 320 knots ? unable to go faster ? even if in the fms page PERF here I have for example 350 knts setted for the flight ? I have red strips that limit the speed to 320 knts ? on the speed tape ? unable to unlock that ? Also in the descent the FMS speed do not follow the fms speed which is setted for ex to 320 knts policy descent ? Any advise to solve that please ? something to set somewhere ? cfg ? etc .......Thanks regardsPatrick

    A few quick questions on MD-11 behavior...1. When to arm ATS: Is it acceptable to push the Autoflight button on the ground at any time during taxi? My understanding is that this arms the ATS, but I'm unsure if it does anything else... (like set a reference to current heading)2. Related to #1: I have noticed on several occasions that I select a heading that requires a right turn immediately after takeoff (at the MM, e.g.) , pull the heading button, and the plane turns left rather than right.     I'm a rookie MD11 pilot (just downloaded) and assume I have set something up incorrectly. The plane banks left, then right, then left along the flight plan. It is waaay more than normal for any aircraft I have flown. I was using ASA and tried it with FSX default weather. Same thing but not as pronounced. I used the load manager to setup the planes weights and balance. I then followed the tutorial for my first few flights. Two flights a row and I need a Dramamine. :) Any guidance would be appreciated.     Hello all PMDG team Do you have any news in the way to have the possibility to have the 3 screens zommed at the same time as in the 747 and the 737 ? PFD ND and EAD ? for our great MD 11 fs 9 ?     I can't remember having read about this, so maybe I am wrong or maybe this is very system specific, but I have a tip:Do not save a flight as default with the MD-11 if you want to fly other planes too.The thing is: ever since I got my new computer, I've been flying with the MD-11. Every now and then, for testing purposes or for other reasons, I take the default Cessna or the light paraglider (what's it called) for a spin, but... whenever I did that, I got very choppy fps! Hickups all the time and also graphical abnormalities, like flashes and spikes. So I always quickly went back to my beloved MD-11.     On some occasions when I load a saved flight I just get a blank grey panel and I cannot load a panel state via the PDMG menu option. This is the same when I re-install MD11 and also with an without the update.

    Hi everyone,I want to say that the texturing of the MD11 is the worst ever released by PMDG, the fuse is cut into 5 pieces and the tail has 4(!) textures, now I wonder why you did that? The pmdg747 and 737 were a dream for painters but the MD11 is really a pain in the $

    Hi, I have a request please: if i pratice RTO's, i.e. due to ENG fire before V1, the panels will pop up and blocking the view, so it is difficult to see the RWY, difficult to see Master Warn/ Caution Light, ENG Fail LightIt is a minor, may be a personal dislike only, i know.Another example: ENG fail before V1, the MCDU is poping up, showing: "confirm ENG out", a thing, which you really dont need at that time ( you are still on gound!).Would it be possible, to delay this nice feature until you have come to a complete stop, with parking brake set and spoilers retracted?Happy to know your opinion about this!Another idea: how about an option, call it: "RTO Training", where yo…

    I have a question regarding a go-around from a non precision approach. This is aimed at the MD11 but could apply to any aircraft really.If you use PROF or FPA to descend the aircraft to MDA, you will have the MDA set as a minima, and again in the ALT window. If you press the G/A button when you cross the MAPt, the aircraft will climb, and then immediately level because it is already above the ALT on the MCP?How is it done in the real world? Do you wait for the A/C to level at MDA, then select the missed approach ALT, then press the G/A button as you pass the MAPt? Or,When crossing the MAPt, do you select a higher altitude and simply PULL for a climb in FLCH? i.e. should t…

    I have a problem about IRS failing. During setup for start I suddenly get the message 'IRU not align' and by switching to overhead panel I can see the 3 corresponding lights are flashing. This usually occurs first time after I entered FMS Nav/Radio page. I discovered that it's possible to fix by re-initializing IRS selectors (turning off <-> nav) but then I get a TCAS fail message and all nav points on ND disapear. They will eventually come up again after a while and I still didn't find out if this rely on time or my actions.     Captains,There is a description "A climb speed limit is computed and displayed in to the flight plans as VCL knots at or below 10,000feet. The limit may be found on any climb waypoint VERT REV page and may be cleared by use of the CLR key or altered by pilot entry into data field 5R.However, I have cinfirmed the above on a waypoint:1) it cannnot be cleared (delated). 2) the alternation from 274/10000 to 250/10000 is possible but cannot save it.3) its change doesn't function at all.Sincerely,Kan-ichiro Fushihara

    Hi,I'm having a problem when pressing the AUTOFLIGHT button during take off.On the PMDG wiki site it says - "The autothrottle and autopilot systems on the MD-11 are NOT independent of each other in the way that they are on Boeing aircraft. Before takeoff, pressing the AUTOFLIGHT button on the FCP arms both the autothrottle and the autopilot takeoff modes. Advancing the throttles manually past around 60% N1 will cause the autothrottle system to actually engage and begin controlling thrust.     Hi PMDG team i'm using MD11 and Radar Contact and i have a problem. I like to do the manage descend but (i don't know if you know), RC tell me, on approch, the active runway at 40 nM from destination but is necessary to select the STAR before reaching the last waypoint at approximatly 120 nM. My problem is this its possible to select on the first time only the STAR and after the active runway? Because in your tutorial included the istructions made this choise at the same time, but I can't do that on RC because the program don't tell me the active runaway before 40nM and if yes, in what point i do this?
