PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hi Guys n GalsI seem to have err..... broken my runways lights. Looks like no left light at all, and right side light is a good few feet out of kilter :( What do you think, and can we fix it?Ta!

These problems were raised here on April 5th. I would much like to know if there is a solution to either.I fly the updated FSX version with CH pedals calibrated only with FS - not FSUIPC. The autobrake does not seem to work in any setting. Typically, with the spoilers deployed and the reversers running at 50% N1, I nose off the end of a 7500 foot runway as the F.O. calls out 80 knots. I can avoid that only by standing on the toe brakes. I find the glide slope is captured much of the time, but it is not reliable. Every few landings I intercept the localizer just fine and the F.O. announces the G/S is alive, but then I fly right through it as it moves from top to bottom. …

Hello all. I installed the MD11 patch last week, and have been having some problems with both the MD11 and 744, running FS9 and Win Xp. For the MD11, during climb out (usually around FL140) my computer freezes totally. I can not exit FS or even get the task manager to show up. I just have to do a hard reboot. With the 744, after loading the cold & dark scenario, all the display screens stay black. After I set the standby power to Auto and connect external power, nothing. I can not do anything to recover my displays. I checked failures, brightness, etc. No luck. I know this is all strange, but until the patch, everything was normal. Recently when I load the PMDG MD-11 (my favorite aircraft by the way) the fonts on all the glass screens has changed. They are much smaller than before and contain jibberish. Cannot read the altitude bar at all. Tried updating my graphics driver and when that didn't work I rolled it back. Hi.I am running FS9.1, with the latest version of this fantastic plane.However, I have just noticed that when trying to start a flight from Bristol Airport EGGD the FMC keeps saying it's not in the database.I have checked in the PMDG folder under the SIDSSTARS Folder and I do have a text file for EGGD with the SIDS and STARS section, it even has the runways and parking specs etc which looks OK to me, but I'm no expert. Hi, I was wondering if anyone is having problems with the spoilers deploying when you replay a landing in the MD-11 for FSX. The spoilers deploy perfectly when I do the actual landing, however every time I replay it, they do not deploy! Any suggestions? Recently, I have encountered a problem with my MD-11 virtual cockpit overhead panel. I am not getting any of the switches/buttons to light up whether they are active (0n) or not. This is the first FS aircraft that I almost fly exclusively from the virtual cockpit .... its the best VC from a functional point of view of any add-on out there in my opinion ... great job on that. This problem with the switch lights occured suddenly on one flight and has continued on all subsequent flights (day or night). I have not been able to determine the problem. I purchased the MD-11 Combo about 30 days ago and installed the FS9 version. I flew it almost every day for about 15 days with no problems. I installed the update from the PMDG website today and booted up and waited for everything to initialize. After initialization all 3 of my MFD's were blank with a green X in the center of each one. I talked to a friend who has the MD-11 and he suggested that I try a fresh install of the MD-11. Removed with the control panel, went to reinstall the MD-11 and got a message that it was unable to validate my codes. What is going on?Harry

Hello there,The climb to G/S issue still here, I will describe my 100% reproductible way to get this issue : Intercept any LLZ localizer at 27nm, with altitude below the 10.000ft with APP mode. Start a descent below GS at 1000ft/min to 4000ft, using V/S, FPA or Idle descent mode. Your plane will climb to GS as soon as you start receiving signal. This issue happens on any FS Airport with any other mode than profile one to manage descent and you are not receiving G/S signal yet.Regards.

Hi there,I am just wanting to see if I can get some help with my installation of the PMDG MD11 for FS9. In my hurry to get up and running I installed the MD11 before checking my FSUIPC version. While loading the plane in FS9 I got an PMDG error saying that my FSUPIC version is too old, and that I need one of at least version 3.81. OK - off I go to the web, download and install version 3.85 of FSUIPC (my version is registered). Only problem is that when I restart FS9 and try and load the MD11, I get the same FSUIPC error... Restarting the computer and even a re-installation of the MD11 have not helped. I have checked and the FSUIPC version in my modules folder is indeed 3.…

I don't know if this is an anomaly with the new revision,but I have noticed the following-:1) Delayed callouts by the captain on takeoff,i.e. "thrustset,V speeds".2) When loading a presaved flight,e.g. an approach,the pilot does not callout flap settings,e,g, flaps 22,flaps 35.I don't know if he's supposed to call out flaps 15 or flaps 50,but that never happens,even with a complete flight.######in Betty works OK.Anyone else have this problem?Note I have also saved the panel condition on approach and loaded it along with the saved approach,but this does not make a difference.Ron

Bear with me I have alot to learn. I have been reading the tutorial and going over things, I have alot of questions but will try to just get a few answered at a time. (1) During taxi it say to arm the AutoFlight. It also says during take off to engage it again at around 400ft. When I do this it shuts the autopilot off. (2) Say Im flying online and instead of a SID I have to fly a RW heading and then ATC is going to vector me around before telling me to head direct to my first waypoint. Ok Im going to sound like a bit of a noob but I just purchased the MD11, it showed me an order number screen which I printed, nowhere did I see a link, It said that it would send something to my email account, which I assumed would be a link to the download but all thats in there is "Order Server PMDG" which is just a receipt of my order. Is the download on its way or did I miss something.Ian

First, I am a newbie with some experience...However, I just setup the FMS using FSBuild with the FAA approved flight plans from KIND to KCVG...using SIDS and STARS on the MD-11...I was flying at the recommended ALT. I noticed there was a difference from the actual FS-2004 and the map on the FMS screen...In other words I had to adjust all the "STAR" crossings about 1000 ft lower than the charts to make an approach into 18L at KCVG for autoland..It seems I read somewhere in the early materials (can't put a finger on it) that you had to make a ten mile or so difference from the actual charts to setup the modern FMS properly...Hope I explained this ok...Need some practical ex…

I have updated to 9.1 and indeed check under the about section within fs9 to check correct version, but everytime i try to run the installation, an error comes up saying that i need version 9.1. It is installed but apparently its not being detected by the md11 installation.I have also tried the registry program from flight1. Hi!First, I'd like to compliment the whole PMDG team for a wonderful add-on.However, I have a little issue with this lady.When approaching the runway with AP OFF, the pitching moments seems to have a life of its own.I have specially noticed that during 100ft RA the aircraft seems schizophrenic, believing it's an AIRBUS and lowers its nose by itself. This has happened several occasions with our without Active Sky enabled.So is the aircraft actually programmed to behave like this or can it be a controller issue (Saitek Pro Yoke)?Overall I experience the LSAS to behave very irrational and slow to adjust, despite using small movements on the yoke.
