Dear PMDG user, Well, I'm seeking help from this forum about flying IFR with PMDG.(Assume I'm beginner). Okay, I start the flight at WMKP (Penang/Malaysia) because this airport is not that busy, eventually will takeoff at runway 4 without any STAR/SID. Later I program the FMC route, when I select the arriving airport Singapore Intl airport (WSSS). How can I know, which runway/STAR/TRANS to be use for landing. So, my question are:1) Should I temprarory put in any runway/STAR/TRANS at WSSS?2) Or should I just put blank, but this will be affected my descending profile & may not have enough time for descend to intercept the ILS landing.3) As far as I know, MSFS2004 nev…

A gentleman on another website claims that you can save inflight situations in the NG if you simply pause the sim (using "P"). Is this correct? Is all the FMC stuff saved, too? (can't check this at the moment... my computer is "occupied" at the moment).If this is correct, does PMDG really need to waste hundreds of hours programming the Save function in the 747-400?Thanks.Cheers.Ian.

Could one of you kind VATSIMmers answer a couple of questions regarding flying the NG with VATSIM?1) What True Airspeed assumption do you file?2) What's a good rule of thumb for fuel available (timewise)?3) I could use my Activesky for weather .... is this a good plan or should I use the default weather? I'm thinking particularly about minimising frame rate loss? On the other hand, the deafault SB weather doesn't give me enroute or destination wx. Any advice?Thanks in advance

HiI reinstalled both the 600/700 followed by the 800/900 into FS9.1, now the -700 has the old inactive overhead in the VC and the approach chart. I am pretty sure that before the reinstallation the -700 did not have the approach chart and it had an active (i.e. working) VC overhead.Did I reinstall in the wrong sequence or what? Any ideas how I can fix this?

Hi Captains, I just wanted to share an experience I just had. Tired after work, I fired up the sim and prepared for a flight from LGAV to EGLL. Did the full preparations and took off. HiI just got the 1900C and every time i select the plane, FS crashes!The plane loads but after about 1 or 2 sec the game crashes!!Can any one help!!!!!!!!

hey guys,first of all, i really enjoy this product, it's the best addon aircraft so far (i tried quite much). i am already using it since half a year and i m getting on with it pretty well, no problems so far.however, yesterday there occured a serious error... i cannot activate the autothrottle anymore, every time i click on the autothrottle button it jumps back to the downward position and autothrottle is not activated. is it possible that i misconfigured something in the fmc?i apologize in advance if the manual deals with this topic, but i did not find anything about it. thanks for your help! :)greets mario m. I love the NG, but I hate the default mini-panel. During approaches, especially on short final, I like to bring up the mini-panel and fly using that. Is there a way to add in the PMDG NG PFD and ND into the mini-panel and get rid of the default gauges. I tried using copy and paste, but it just doesn't work.Any way we could add this in?Thanks,

Hi to all of you!!!I need help with a little problem that I have.When I'm flying with my PMDG 737-700, and all seems to be ok, after 1 and half flight time, near at the TOD (read 50 NM to TOD) for example GRA, i look in my ND the TOD is not quiet, i say is moving before and after GRA. Then i look into the FMS and when I read the page named RTE, i see the winds at GRA titteling (flashing), and after that my VNAV disconects. Why? my altitude is ok, my altitude selected at MCP is ok (Example: the transition altitude that i need to reach after descent).Then I try to put my wind actualizated (I guess maybe is for that reason) but I can't.What's the problem? hi i have the pmdg 737-700 series ng and on my fmc i tried to use a tutorial flight from kord to cyyz when i typed in one of the last legs GUELF 190/7000 it said not in database . i have the latest nav downloads. am i missing something without this leg i cant descend and it defeats the purpose of the tutorial. anybody have any ideas?

was unable to get the USAirways Express livery to be selectable from the aircraft menu.the title entries and variation entries need to be unique to each livery. as is, there is duplication between the Colgan Air and Colgan Air USAirways Express packs.editing the titles (one of the USEX titles was ok, the other one needed editing) and the variation lines on the USEX section makes them all usable.my copy of the aircraft.cfg for these liveries (note...I am testing the RXP refit so there is an additional entry for each paint. also, this contains an edit of the checklist and reference files...I have changed the filenames also, so if you copy/paste this, make note of these ch…

noticed a problem getting the checklists and reference pages to come up on the kneeboard. on the PMDG livery, the checklist would come up but the reference page wouldn't, and on the repaints, I couldn't get either. did a little trial and error, and here is how I fixed it.renamed the checklist file to 'beech_1900C_check' reference file to 'beech_1900C_ref', then edited the sections of the aircraft.cfg to match.now on the auto-install repaints, the aircraft.cfg entry appears to get incorrectly written in regards to this.this is the entry that works for me, with the files renamed (in all 3 folders) as mentioned above.kb_checklists=beech_1900C_checkkb_reference=beech_1900C_…

found this over at AVSIM.filename is 'b1900c_wingengine-views.zip'makes using the 2D panel more enjoyable. leaves the default cockpit views intact...no overwriting. adds views from the back side of the wing straight out and views of the engines loking back from about the cockpit area.a very nice modification. There are times when the panel in the VC in the wonderful Avanti is, to me, too dark to use, such as when the sun is at the wrong angle and the panel naturally darkens, at dawn or dusk before it comes on automatically, etc.Is there any way to get the panel lights on in the VC?I thought I had tried everything I can think of but... ?Thanks,Bill

Can anyone tell me the correct procedure to reprogram the FMC in the event of changing destination?Recently, I tried changing the destination on the route page. It bleated at me saying "invalid route". I couldn't then put anything useful into the FMC at all - which had no route info in it any more.Gave up and flew the plane to the alternate without the FMC.

1-will the manual be availible a few weeks before release so we can readup and prepare?2-Of course the 747 is alot different than the 737 but will current owners of the pmdg 737 feel right at home with the feel of the aircraft and operating the fmc ect. Im hoping the 747 will have the same great feel as the 737 and allow the learning curve to be easier if the fmc ect is similiar.(basicly if we love the 737 we will love the 747?) 3-I know a release date isn't given but what kind of time frame before release? a few weeks or a few months? thanks PMDG!

How come the Freight/Cargo versions handle so poorly in comparison to the Passenger version? This is only on the ground, in the air they are all fine :)This new Express bird is great, and I'm loving it, just having problems taxiing the Cargo/Freighter planes around.Pete told me to re-calibrate the settings for the 2 planes, how do I do that? I've purchased this great addon. Have already had great pleasure flying this. However, how can I access all the views shown in the advert on the PMDG website? e.g. it states you can view from any of the passenger seats in the cabin and open doors internally. How can you do this? I've managed to open the door from the cockpit into the cabin in VC mode.Chris Cole
